I agree, but I was hoping the Vikes would squeek out a win because I'd much rather face Darnold.

Watching the weekly bed wetting when we have one of the best teams in the league has been fun.

To be fair it's really only a handful of posters who have a clear agenda against our QB and want him to fail so they can be "right"

And if we cannot find a successful counter to those stacked boxes with AJ, Smitty and Goedert then we have no business making it to the NFCCG

Coaches need to be on point this week.

Well, I'll take any path to the NFCCG.  I am not that picky, but would prefer we blow them out.

All remaining teams are going to stack the box and run blitz to stop Saquan.  They are all going to force Hurts to be a passing playmaker.  It's not a difficult decision.  Do everything that can be done to put the offense on Hurts passing the ball.

I said similar. The Eagles have so much talent on offense that you could lose in the passing game or you can lose to the running game. However, the one thing that has been inconsistent with the Eagles since their bye week has been their passing game. There’s times where it has looked real good. And there’s times where it has looked out of sync. Hurts described it well at his presser, it’s been choppy. I think if you are a DC that’s how you have to play them and hope the passing game stays choppy. The alternative is just asking to get a saquon beat down.

That's how the playoffs go.  One team craps the bed, one team steps up.  After the game is in the books, of course we are going to look back and wish we couple play the losing team.

I was hoping to play the 2008 Lions for 3 straight weeks then face the 2017 Browns in the Super Bowl.

Hurts was really good against the blitz this year though. Let’s hope they try that.

They've been so over the top the past couple years that they're boxing themsevles in and have basically become the 2024 version of RTK. Forced to hate watch the QB they've bashed for years lead us down the path to a super bowl. Doesn't sound like a fun way to enjoy the ride to me, but some people are just different I guess.

I kind of wonder why we can't implement some quick short routes into the playbook. If they wanna crowd the box maybe use dotson and smith since they will probably double AJ.

Hit those a couple times and then use play action and saquons day becomes easy

Not saying they will pass blitz, run blitz for sure. On passing downs I think Eagles will see a lot of lite boxes, dropping seven and trying to muck up the first 15 yards from the LOS.  Make Hurts hold the ball and let a 4 man rush work its way to him.

I think some fans and the media have PTSD from the TO years, and that's why they're overly harsh on AJ. I can understand where they're coming from to an extent, but the initial backlash over the book thing was pretty wild.

The Philadelphia Eagles are 6-0 in the Divisional Round of the Playoffs in Philly in the Super Bowl Era.

Interesting Stat.   We are much worst on the Road in the Divisional Round. (The Eagles are 2-5 on the Road in the Divisional Round in the Playoffs).

Nakobe Dean led the team with 8 tackles in the first Rams game. He also had a sack, fumble recovery, 2 TFLs, and a QB hit.

Graham also had a sack, 2 TFLs, and 3 QB hits.

I recall our Cooper really struggling with their Cooper in that game.

A big factor in that game was the defense holding serve until Saquon broke the game open in the 2nd half.

The offense is going to have to get it going earlier this time around.

Some of "they" have the capacity to happily root for everyone on the team towards a victory and still objectively review the performance the next day.

So we did very well against the teams that had a worse record than us and we did poorly against the teams with better records than us.

Yes but it shows we are very consistent in the Divisional Round at home.  The two road Divisional wins were against the Defending Super Bowl Champion #1 Seed Giants and a 13-3 #2 Seed Bears team in the early 2000's.

It's an interesting stat, but a loaded stat.  The Eagles have had significantly better teams in years they were playing at home vs. on the road in the playoffs.

Objective reviews include but are not limited too:

"He's trash."

"What a scumbag."

"Worst QB performance in NFL History."   <== this was just after the Packers game in which the game was never in doubt

"We have a RB under center not a QB."

etc

Prime to Dallas has the potential to be a Dallas-hating Eagles fans dream.

@Diehardfan is just trying to coach him hard.  @HazletonEagle still pines for Carson Strong.

Here's a question to rile everyone up.  No rationalization, no debate.  Just answer the following...if the Eagles had X at QB, what is their 2024 record and what would be the end of the line for them in the playoffs?  For instance, for 2023 Hurts, the answer just "11-6, wild card loss."  No commentary.  List:

Patrick Mahomes:

Josh Allen:

Joe Burrow:

Lamar Jackson:

Russell Wilson:

Sam Darnold:

Baker Mayfield:

Justin Herbert:

Jordan Love:

Matt Stafford:

Tanner McKee:

Prime Mcnabb:

Patrick Mahomes: 15-2 SB

Josh Allen: 15-2 SB

Joe Burrow: 15-2 SB

Lamar Jackson: 15-2 divisional loss

Russell Wilson: 10-7 wildcard loss

Sam Darnold: 10-7 wildcard loss

Baker Mayfield: 9-8

Justin Herbert: 15-2 SB

Jordan Love: 9-8

Matt Stafford: 11-6 Divisional loss

Tanner McKee: 9-8

Prime Mcnabb: 13-4 NFCCG loss
