They've been so over the top the past couple years that they're boxing themsevles in and have basically become the 2024 version of RTK. Forced to hate watch the QB they've bashed for years lead us down the path to a super bowl. Doesn't sound like a fun way to enjoy the ride to me, but some people are just different I guess.

Probably just the hater inside me but I've been thinking it's more like Barkley and the defense leading us down the path to a SB

Jalen Hurts is 12-1 at home vs winning teams since 2022.

Matt Stafford is 0-1 in cold weather playoff games.

Jalen Hurts is 3-0 in home playoff games.

Matt Stafford is 0-2 vs Jalen Hurts.

Rams are 2-7 at Philadelphia in the salary cap era, and one of those wins was in 2004 when the Eagles were resting starters after securing the #1 seed. The other was in 2020 when Philadelphia went 4-11-1.

Philadelphia is the last team this season to beat the LA Rams when they played their starters, nov 24th: 37-20.

Rams scored 20 points on offense in the wild card round against the 16th ranked defense; they haven’t scored more than 20 points on offense in over a month. In the wildcard round, Philadelphia scored 22 points on offense against the 5th best defense.

The Philadelphia Eagles are 6-0 at home in the divisional round since the advent of the Super Bowl.

The Rams have lost the last 7 games where they gave up 150 yards rushing.

So looking good for the Rams…

(the eagles are the far better team and it isn’t close)

Ultimately, it likely won't matter, but I like the fact that the Eagles are coming off a meh performance and the Rams are coming off a great one.

It's a team sport, they're all contributing. OL, RB, DBs, etc. Hurts doesn't need to carry the team on his back like Josh Allen or Joe Burrow to win a ring.

You're the one that said the QB leading the team down the path to the SB

Patrick Mahomes: 15-2 SB

Josh Allen: 15-2 SB

Joe Burrow: 15-2 SB

Lamar Jackson: 15-2 divisional loss

Russell Wilson: 10-7 wildcard loss

Sam Darnold: 10-7 wildcard loss

Baker Mayfield: 9-8

Justin Herbert: 15-2 SB

Jordan Love: 9-8

Matt Stafford: 11-6 Divisional loss

Tanner McKee: 9-8

Prime Mcnabb: 13-4 NFCCG loss

Penciling prime Mcnabb in for the NFCCG loss is probably the strongest lock in there.

If Sam Darnold got to 14 wins with the Vikings, it's hard to imagine he'd only have 10 here.

I was really hoping for the Vikings to win so their whiny fans can put the stupid jersey on the Rocky statue again and get blown out. Rams don't have fans to make fun of.

Oh ok. Is this the part where we argue over whether the QB is the de facto leader of a team?

Here's a question to rile everyone up.  No rationalization, no debate.  Just answer the following...if the Eagles had X at QB, what is their 2024 record and what would be the end of the line for them in the playoffs?  For instance, for 2023 Hurts, the answer just "11-6, wild card loss."  No commentary.  List:

Patrick Mahomes:

Josh Allen:

Joe Burrow:

Lamar Jackson:

Russell Wilson:

Sam Darnold:

Baker Mayfield:

Justin Herbert:

Jordan Love:

Matt Stafford:

Tanner McKee:

Prime Mcnabb:

Patrick Mahomes: 15-2 SB

Josh Allen: 15-2 SB

Joe Burrow: 14-3 SB

Lamar Jackson: 14-3 SB

Russell Wilson: 10-7 WC

Sam Darnold: 9-8 miss playoffs

Baker Mayfield: 11-6 WC

Justin Herbert: 12-5 divisional round

Jordan Love: 10-7 WC

Matt Stafford: 12-5 nfc champ game

Tanner McKee: 9-8 miss playoffs (growing pains)

Prime Mcnabb: 14-3 NFC champ game

No. You said QB and I just responded that I think it's more Barkley and the defense. You're allowed to think whatever you want

It was him getting run over after that missing tackles

So one or two plays in a single game  ... where numerous other Eagles players also missed tackles ... are how you judge his whole performance rather than on the basis of his full season performance.  Great idea.  I think it is best to let Fangio do the deciding.

I saw something which was pretty funny. If the Eagles win on Sunday,  Hurts and Siri will equal the number of playoff wins with the cowboys since after the 1996 season 🙂

Ike Reese was a great ST player, but not so much as a full-time LB.

Agreed.  How did Burks do in the Week 18 Giants game?

What I saw ... and definitely didn't like ... was Burks looking lost about his assignments on Sunday.  He definitelyndi9d not look like that in the Week 18. It may have been because he played the Baun role in Weekm18 and was playing the Dean role on Sunday. I don't know, but I trust Fangio to sort it out.

I said it earlier in the year, but for as good as he is, his stats are nearly meaningless. Granted, WR need consistent good QB play, but Jefferson is going to have a high paying, stat bloated career which he wins nothing.

Y'know what I just heard about Jefferson? Supposedly the Eagles could have drafted him! Did anyone else ever hear that?

This was when I knew the eagles were going to the super bowl

I feel good about this Eagles' offense, off a bad performance, against this Rams defense. We not only matchup well against them in the run-game, but we actually have an easier zone answer this time in Devonta Smith.

the bucs didn't force a punt on sunday ...but then I realize the commanders were 3/5 on 4th down.

I think the Rams will win. 😬
