Apparently the Packers fan who recorded the dude calling his woman a c*nt is a content creator - wore a bodycam to the game.  Set up a gofundme to get into the game - probably antagonized the Eagles fan.  Not condoning what the Eagles fan did, but it would be interesting to see all the footage.

Could take Matt and his WR out of the game. Run vs run, which I like the odds of with the Eagles D and OL.

It’s supposed to be 35 degrees at game time 🤷🏻‍♂️

Perfect!

Nolan Smith turning out to be the player we all dreamt he would be as we watched him fall to pick 30 is one of the best stories of the year. I loved his energy, passion and leadership and remember having discussions about him being a potential team leader in the shape of Dawkins and BG. He's so fun to watch. Let's hope they find a good DE to compliment him. He's nothing like advertised, but I'd still love to see what Chase Young could do here.

Lurie wants to be a passing team because he goes to the Reid and banner school of thought of we pass to set up the run and win games. Do i agree with that? Not really. Think there’s multiple ways to skin a cat. Do what you are elite at.

I could be wrong, but I believe you are jumping to a conclusion in your statement above.  Lurie comes from the film industry, and there are very few folks in that industry who are tightly wedded to just one type of picture or one way of acting/directing.  I suspect Lurie looks at his "actors” and "directors” and "cameramen” and approaches projects with an eye toward maximizing their strengths.

Funny how "If Hurts plays like this we won't go anywhere in the playoffs" has turned into "If Hurts plays like this we will not win the Super Bowl."

Hopefully, in a few weeks, it will be "If Hurts plays like this we won't win another Super Bowl."

Yeah, my idea of success in the playoffs is winning the Super Bowl.

We certainly won’t beat the Lions or the Chiefs if he plays so poorly against them. And probably not the Bills or Ravens either.

Yes, of course I hope the eagles win the Super Bowl and the rest of the team can compensate for bad QB play, but I doubt it will fly against the elite teams we are likely to play.

This would be good for the Eagles.

Too lopsided.  Need to throw in Elliott.

I agree they won't hesitate to make a move.  Looking at the cap numbers the post June 1 window in 2026 is the moment.

They have to pull the trigger prior to the Option Bonus coming due.  That I believe is in March.  June would be too late unless they can act in March with a post-June 1st designation.

Like us, wants to win championships.  Being from Boston, has major Patriots envy.  We won with Foles in the saddle and should have won again so think he will have zero problem changing horses to win another.  And another.

This draft is LOADED at edge. Every size, shape and type you could ask for, and they’ll go 4-5 rounds deep.

If BG retires we should double up; it’s grab a bigger, power, run defending type and another off ball type.

The Eagles already beat up the Ravens in their house and Hurts passed for 118 yards and a TD.  Less than last week.

I would counter you because Joe Banner has come out and discussed before that Jeffrey Lurie wants to do that and the success that Reid had here and in KC is why he’s wanted that. Add on there were reports after the Eagles won a game against the packers  that lurie was unhappy because they didn’t pass it like he wants them too. I don’t know if I can find the video but about 3 years Joe Banner went into a whole discussion into full detail on Reid’s passing philosophy and why Lurie believes in that philosophy even after Reid has been gone form the organization.

do not get me wrong, I’m positive Jeffrey Lurie is very happy when they keep winning. I don’t think he’s like do it this way otherwise you’re gonna be fired. However i do think in his mind that philosophy is what he ultimately wants and believes is the best way in structuring an offense and organization.

article from Jan 2022 (https://www.si.com/nfl/eagles/news/jeffrey-lurie-was-right-its-a-passing-league-and-jalen-hurts-must-improve#:~:text=Jeffrey Lurie was right. It's OK to,owner alluded to in the summer of). In the article it straight up alludes to lurie making this remark

"It’s OK to admit it. Running the ball doesn’t win championships, like the Eagles owner alluded to in the summer of 2019.”

later in the article

"Lurie and his analytics team got it right when The Athletic’s Sheil Kapadia asked the owner about the "establish the run” mentality and he said, "What’s the right way to say this? It’s just not a truthful way of reporting based on all the information we now have. OK? That’s sort of the nice way to say it.”

Which goes into this where he was upset about how the eagles beat the packers in this article

Great.  We need 2+ ballers.  This defense could become Buddy-like with some nasty pressure off the edge.

Yep, Williams/Stewart in the 1st, and then Sawyer/Tuimoloau in the 2nd.

We’re only playing a 3-man DE rotation now, so Nolan-Hunt-1st-(Huff) might be adequate. DT/TE in the 2nd?

Does anyone know where the Rams are practicing this week? I have heard conflicting reports. One says they went straight to the East Coast after their Monday Night game and in town, and the other said they went back to CA looking for a place to practice away from the drama and the fires.

Going on a willy different direction for the Rams hype video.  Not even sure it can be classified as a hype video, it will be very abstract.

Might not finish it until Friday.  It might freak some people out, idk.  It's going in a very different direction than last week's.  Here is a preview screenshot so far.

Probably not a bad idea to double up even if BG wants to come back for another year.
