We are practicing in it. They are not.

That doesn't change my mind at all

Exactly so.  On the surface of things it would appear to benefit a powerful running team but that might not always be the case.  Some, including Andy Reid, prefer to pass suggesting that the receivers know where they are going and thus don't slip as much.

For sure we want it cold and windy.  Those two things absolutely will affect passing.  Not so sure about the moisture though.  The gloves they wear these days take away a lot of the issues of gripping the ball and they consistently bring in a dry ball to use as well.  In any case, the traction on the ground will be a factor if it is wet.

A long long time ago I played in snow, several inches and several times, and loved it. The thing you lose most is quickness. Since I never had any it didn’t affect me much. An odd thing: I don’t remember anyone ever getting hurt. As I recall, pretty much everyone threw snow in the face of the guy across from him.

Besides playing a ton in the yard, I had one real game in the snow in high school.  Snow was blowing horizontally straight down the field.  Our punter had a -3 yard punt where the ball crossed the LOS about 10 yards and then came back

You also said you have this image in your head where our season has ended.

Yeah… what so I can’t have a scenario where we lose? It’s 100% win or nothing?

I don’t know if you saw my point i edited because I went back and did the research cause I didn’t know it. The last team that was outside the top 10 in passing offense that won a Super Bowl was the 2013-2015 with ravens, Seahawks and broncos. So about a decade since it’s happen

So essentially over a decade worth of Super Bowl champions where they didn’t necessarily have to have a great rushing attack (last 5 champions really haven’t been) but they all were a top tier passing team that Denver, Seattle and ravens about 10 years ago.

Did you bother to research how top defenses do in the playoffs/Super Bowl.  Found this from a summer 2023 article.

  • #1 ranked: Out of 53 Super Bowl winners since the merger, 23 (43%) were ranked #1 in either offense or defense. 11 were ranked #1 on offense. 13 were ranked #1 on defense. Two were ranked #1 in both.
  • Top five: Out of 53 Super Bowl winners since the merger, 45 (85%) were ranked top five in either offense or defense. 32 were ranked top five on offense. 30 were ranked top five on defense. 17 were ranked top five in both. The 2017 Eagles were the last Super Bowl winner to be ranked top 5 in offense (3rd) and defense (4th)

A little bit of snow disrupts timing more than anything else. It favours bigger players too. That impacts the LA passing game way more than us, even before we get to the fact that they're not used to playing in it.

I think AJ playing in the snow on a bum knee is a little bit concerning

I liked our run game matchup vs the Rams even before the weather news. They're built to rush the passer. Eagles are built to run the ball. Eagles should have a huge advantage if this turns into a snowy ground battle.

But at the end of the day, snowy playoff games are just the best regardless. Wish I was there.

They are small fast rushers like the Chiefs SB year. Slick ground negates that as we painfully witnessed.

I think he's probably less likely to get injured if there's less traction in the snow. It probably makes him harder to tackle too.

Kind of interesting how many of the national pundits are picking the Rams straight up.  I figured there would be a few but about half have picked them from what I've seen so far.

We are clearly the better team so I would rather not have the snow even though it would be fun. Snow would change the dynamics and we don’t need that.

Snow would favor us significantly.

We don’t throw the ball much, and that’s the whole Rams game plan. A blizzard would make throwing the ball nearly impossible, but put the DL on skates… Barkley could set the single game rushing record if it’s like the Lions game from a while back.

So am I right that Kellen Moore is having three interviews over the next 18hrs?  That's ridiculous.  So, he's going to spend what two hours on each one plus a couple of hours of prep?

Here’s what Tommy Lawlor had to say about that on Iggleblitz, "There will be one more issue for the Eagles to deal with. Kellen Moore is doing head coach interviews with multiple teams. This won’t affect the players. It could affect Moore. The gameplan is already finished so him doing interviews late in the week shouldn’t be a big issue. Still, anything can have an impact when the playoffs roll around.”

This is something a rams fan from LA would come up with.

That video is the #1 reason I would never put anyone on ignore.  He has to have some bodies in his basement.  At least some limbs or something down there.

Their defense has been really good of late.  They rested a bunch of players against Seattle the last week of season but besides that they have given up

9 points to Minnesota

9 points to Arizona

9 points to Jets

6 points to 49ers

so really 4 straight teams under 10 points.
