Snow would favor us significantly.

We don’t throw the ball much, and that’s the whole Rams game plan. A blizzard would make throwing the ball nearly impossible, but put the DL on skates… Barkley could set the single game rushing record if it’s like the Lions game from a while back.

I know what the thinking is but in the end of the day snow will change the dynamics and make things more chaotic and less predictable.  All things being equal/normal we dominate them.  No need to stir things up.

That video is the #1 reason I would never put anyone on ignore.  He has to have some bodies in his basement.  At least some limbs or something down there.

I honestly kept watching just so I could figure out what movie it was

Ok Rams keep talking. Media is talking. Let’s do this already!

Kind of interesting how many of the national pundits are picking the Rams straight up.  I figured there would be a few but about half have picked them from what I've seen so far.

Blame all the "get up" "first take" "good morning NFL" etc shows. You are never going to find honesty anymore. They all have embraced the entertainment aspect and further moved away from honest, objective opinions. They want a 50/50 split to reach the biggest audience possible.

Did you bother to research how top defenses do in the playoffs/Super Bowl.  Found this from a summer 2023 article.

  • #1 ranked: Out of 53 Super Bowl winners since the merger, 23 (43%) were ranked #1 in either offense or defense. 11 were ranked #1 on offense. 13 were ranked #1 on defense. Two were ranked #1 in both.
  • Top five: Out of 53 Super Bowl winners since the merger, 45 (85%) were ranked top five in either offense or defense. 32 were ranked top five on offense. 30 were ranked top five on defense. 17 were ranked top five in both. The 2017 Eagles were the last Super Bowl winner to be ranked top 5 in offense (3rd) and defense (4th)

Didn’t as just discussing the offense and passing/running but those are good statistics/data. Since the eagles were the last team to have both top 5 offense and defense, the highest ranked defense to win was KC last year.  was ranked 5th. surprising cause i thought Tampa bay but they actually sat at 8th. The rest were all outside the top 10. Last 10 SB top 5 defenses to win it were Denver, eagles and KC. Eagles only one top 5 in defense and offense

Hurts looked so bad last week and rams looked good.  I'm not surprised.

Yeah it is quite obvious at times

I feel like every divisional round there’s one game where the national pundits all go in on an upset due to previous week performance. Then it winds up not happening as that team comes out flat and loses. Then there’s an upset elsewhere they are shocked about.

Keep trollin' trollin' trollin' what?

I went 5-1 on predictions last week (damn Chargers) so I'll take another crack at it for the Divisional Round:

AFC

Texans (4) at Chiefs (1) -- Chiefs 27, Texans 20.  My brother is a life-long Chiefs fan and he's worried about the starters' long layoff of 24 days.  They drew the perfect opponent; the Chiefs will start slow but I don't think the Texans will get very far ahead.  Chiefs will have time to shake off the rust and win late like they always do.

Ravens (3) at Bills (2) -- Bills 30, Ravens 27.  I'm not buying into this resurgence of the Ravens defense; they've been beating weak teams the past 4 weeks.  This is not a typical Ravens defense.  Problem is, the Bills' defense always comes up small in big moments so I don't trust them either.  The team with the last possession likely wins this game -- and I believe Josh Allen is the true MVP this season.  He will win the game late by force of will.

NFC

WASH (6) at Lions (1) -- Lions 37, Commanders 24.  I like Daniels a lot, I like the WASH offense a lot on the whole, but their defense is not going to give them a chance to threaten DET.  Goff will stay in rhythm and the Lions will score almost at will in the dome.

Rams (4) at Eagles (2) -- Eagles 28, Rams 17.  Rams will have to figure out how to slow down the Eagles' run game.  I don't see how they do it other than stacking the LOS.  Brown and Smith will be 1-on-1 most of the game and Hurts will make enough throws to carry the Eagles through.  Barkley might run for 120+ yards even facing 8 in the box.

2pm Sunday

And Midnight Sunday night.

It's trying to snow all day.

National sports media loving the Rams, their D.  Completely overlooking the #1 defense playing at home in poor weather against a warm weather team.  I want to humiliate their offense and defense do I can listen next week to how either the Lions or Commanders are going to take it to us.

The latest I am seeing indicate that the snow won't really accumulate a ton during the game.

As of late morning Friday. It seems like when the forecast gets worse over time, it'll end up being worse than the most recent forecast. Accuweather:

I give credit to the Rams because after the Eagles game they’ve been really good outside of that Buffalo game. However, I also think their defense is a little bit of fools gold. When you at it they beat up on a lot of below average to bad teams. Credit to them for doing so. The Buffalo Bills put up 42 against them, and that was the best offense they had faced.

tip your cap to them on Minnesota. However, I think Minnesota’s problems were twofold. One the emotional damage done the week before by the Lions that took everything they worked for away and then having to go play a road playoff game they look like they had no confidence and were flat. Secondly I think the Lions gave them the gameplan on how to beat Sam Darnold and Darnold’s confidence was gone.

imo bigger issue for the rams since the eagles game, the Buffalo game is the only game they have scored over 21 points on offense (excluding week 18 as rested starters and last week had a defensive td to make it 27)

Lol

Word is Goodell and the league are looking into moving the game to Indianapolis due to the snow since it will create an unfair disadvantage to the Rams.

Wells Fargo center is open. They can move the game to their and get it in before the Wings play Monday

Does Wing Bowl exist anymore?

After all the talk about snow watch it be only a light dusting during the game.

Teams build stadiums with the intent of a homefield advantage but snow is a problem?
