It stops momentarily... the ball is reset and then it starts again.   It only stops and stays stopped inside 5 minutes, I believe.   They did that to keep the games shorter.

My being right kinda makes him wrong. Yes, Elliott can miss a clutch kick that we needed. But if it comes down to that, its going to be because Hurts had another sucky game. Theres really no way Elliott himself can cost us a game. That doesnt just go for tomorrow, but either team we would face next week. The eagles are so much more talented than any NFC team. If they play like the should, our kicker cant possibly ruin it. MAYBE the Lions, but theyre not looking scary at all today.

Outside the 2 minute warning in the first half, and the final 5 minutes in the 2nd half, the clock re-starts when the ball is spotted for the next play.

Yeah totally.  Kickers only matter in a game if the QB doesn't play well.  That's means Nick Foles played terrible in the Super Bowl because Jake Elliott made a clutch field goal at the end

Youre not getting it. There was another team just as good as us. In the NFC playoffs, theres really not. If Hurts maximizes the talent on offense around him, we win by double digits. Shouldnt come down to kicking. If it does, its on Hurts.

I hate that split second they get when the play clock runs out. Since the ref has to look up, they should just make it where the ball explodes at 0.

I get your point here. But Elliott’s kicking woes is a big concern & can definitely affect the outcome of a game for us, regardless how rest of team played

I agree that its a concern. In the event that Hurts lets the game stay close, Elliott is a concern. 

I dont agree with framing it as that Elliott is basically our only weakness. If we lose, even on him missing a kick, its really not going to be on him. Game shouldnt be that close.
