They were easily in FG range for that 4th down where they were stopped.   So either way, the Lions haven't forced a punt.   They need to.. and/or get turnovers.  That's their only hope to claw back into this.

I think if Washington wins they are making it to the Super Bowl. They are playing with confidence and have gotten hot at the right time. Almost every year there’s a surprise team and sadly it might be them 👎

Yup. It’s why the commanders with 21 seconds and 2 timeouts before the end of the half should’ve tried to get into FG range. Try for as many points as possible with as many possessions as possible. Cause likely Gonna need to score more and more vs  the lions

You are bringing your biases into what is a simple objective situation.  So here are two generic questions you need to answer … 

(1) Does a QB (selecting randomly from any and all QBs) have more influence on winning or losing a game when compared to a Kicker (selecting randomly from any and all Kickers)?

(2) Does a Kicker (selecting randomly from any and all Kickers) have zero influence on winning or losing a game?

The answers are very simple (1) a QB has more influence and (2) the influence of a Kicker is not zero.
