Really is surprising that it took THIS long for the Lions injuries on defense to catch up to them.

true but if their offense had played to their potential and not turned it over 5 times they may have won but they may have still lost but not by 14

On a scale of Jason Garrett to Wade Phillips, how would you rate a Kellen Moore hiring?

Was Kenny Pickett playing defense?

I mean pretty much. He almost immediately threw them the ball from our own end zone and it went down hill from there. The Eagles were moving the ball at will and keeping the Commies off the field until the dirty hit on Jalen. The Commanders aren’t scoring 35+ at the Linc unless they are playing the Lions 3rd stringers again.

So here's a crazy conspiracy theory that could come into play if the Eagles beat LA:  Washington is up for a new stadium.  Means a lot of money for the team, and more importantly, the NFL.  A lot of money.  The day after a bill passes in Congress authorizing a stadium in DC, the Skins beat the Eagles in very strange fashion.

Josh Harris, owner of Sixers and Commanders agrees to a JV with Comcast to construct the new arena at the Sports Complex and ditches the Market East plan that was opposed by the Eagles and the NFL.  The Comcast deal is in line with what the Eagles want.  Roger Goodell and Adam Silver were both lobbying for the Sports Complex deal.  There are huge development plans for the Sports Complex District.  Huge.  There is also the prospect of the Eagles gearing up for a new stadium over the next decade.  A lot of money for the Eagles at stake here.

Could the outcome of a NFCCG be decided based on money?  If Washington wins, the value of that franchise, the new stadium in DC and receipts for the NFL look to be enhanced.  Does Lurie owe Josh Harris a favor for reversing course on the Sixers arena?

Could the above impact the outcome of a potential NFCCG against Washington?  Sure it's a wild conspiracy theory - but did the officiating in that Chiefs-Texans game look kosher?  Seems to me that the NFL is more than capable of fudging outcomes of games if the bottom line for the league is affected.

Thanks. That answers my question but I’m still confused why the Lions wasted time to get a guy on the field not lined up on the LOS.

I was wondering why Williams didn't just go out of the end zone and leave 10 men on the field to spike the ball, instead of running all the way back to the line and waste 10 seconds

I live in Baltimore and I’d say there’s 5x more eagles than Commandos fans here. Not even close

Off topic: if you like Thai food, go to Spice and Dice in Towson.  Best food anywhere in the Baltimore area.  Tell the owner that mattwill sent you and they will treat you really really well.  They will treat you really well regardless.

That game was lost by the Lions on their very first offensive snap

Their first offensive play their most dangerous offensive weapon, and league leading td getter is sitting on the bench and they hand the ball to montgomery for 2 yards...

WTF happened? Was this a thurmond thomas situation where  jamyr gibbs couldnt find his helmet so the backup comes on first play of the game

Its inexplicable, why would he not be on the field for the first play of the game especially on a running play?

If the eagles come out with Gainwell on the first play of the game and hand him the ball, id assume barkley had been abducted or is dead.

Lions had to much time to overthink their game plan and got too cute.

Sure playing your 3,rd string D didnt help but not having your best player on the field for the first play is just idiotic

Cowboys now the only team in the division to not make it to the NFC Championship Game in this current century/millennium. We are a quarter of the way through the century.

no they're the only team in the conference to not make it to the NFCCG

I don’t know about the best in the NFC but he is definitely one of the first young QBs selected early in the draft that has lived up to the hype in a while.

If i'm starting a team and I had to pick 1 QB from the NFC, I'm not sure who else I'd take over him to be honest. Love, Purdy, Hurts, Goff, Murray, Baker... I'm taking Daniels over all of them.

Ben Johnson got too fancy.  Wanted to put up gaudy stats instead of running the ball, controlling the clock, protecting his D, and limiting chances for mistakes.

Many entities in here would approve of that mentality no doubt.

He's this year's CJ Stroud (from last year).

I'll admit I'm impressed so far, but let's see how he responds to adversity before crowning him the next Mahomes.

I'm not crowning him Mahomes, but I'd take him over any NFC QB.

When you order Thai (or any Asian restaurant that asks), where do you fall on the 1-5 when ordering? I usually go 4 but sometimes get crazy. I love my spice.

Edit: just saw spice was in the name of the place, not talking about spicy food

Go ahead. I'll take the one that leads this team and has been through ups and downs and knows what it feels like to leave a postseason on a loss. I'll take the one that focuses on football in warmups instead of playing with a basketball for 10 minutes.

Thought the first half was great but it soon got out of hand. The Lions had some really great plays and some really horrible plays

Also I was surprised he didn't go for it on that 4th and possibly 8 near the goal

I’m probably a 3, but the great thing about Thai food is how easy it is for them to match the spiciness of the dish to your personal tastes.

Detroit had a good offense, but they have been getting lucky since Thanksgiving where teams let them off the hook. Credit to DC they didn't.

He's right. Someone needs to say F it and light him up so bad he doesn't get up. Don't even slow down. Take the 15 and pay the fine and that flopping crap may stop.
