When I was in college in Williamsburg they won with the Riggins team.  That was bad enough.  Then, when I lived up in Arlington it was the bandwagon year where they were nearly invincible with all the hogs, Rypien, Monk, Carter, etc.  Guy I worked close with was not only in the Redskins band but he bought a maroon car and a vanity plate that was something like BNDWAGN.  He had four or five Skins hats in the back window.  We also had two wives of players at work and the CEO was a good friend of Calvin Hill (met him at a party which was cool).  It was horrible.

They are tough fans to be around when they are winning.  Otherwise, they more or less disappear.

As a person, I always liked Riggins. Funny guy.

At times, I'll kind of tease my brothers because Eagles WR Art Monk is in the Hall of Fame. Not 'Redskins WR', Eagles WR... lol

Wouldn't be at all surprised if Jerry announces tomorrow just to steal some thunder from the National Championship game.

Steal some thunder from the Inauguration as well.

You would have loved Koy Detmer then...

The Detmer family is iconic here in Texas, primarily because of High School football. They are revered especially down in the valley near Brownsville. He was great in high school, both he and Ty played for their dad who is a Texas HS coaching legend and one of the winningest coaches in Texas HS football history.

Just now, Sack that QB said:

Hurts better not run east west today. One cut and go. Not sure what he was doing last week, but east west he's running in quicksand. He's a different runner north south.

He danced way too much last week. Even my gf that is a casual observer was yelling at him lol

What a forgettable year lol. Don’t he play for the Jets as well?

Slick field will impact both Dlines and pass rush.  I was thinking we'd get a lot of pressure on Stafford, but now with the weather forecast I'm not so sure.

It may effect Smith and Sweat, but I don’t see it affecting Carter or Williams.

I started following the eagles in 89, as a kid in utah most the coverage I got of the birds were evening news highlights and newspaper clippings and box scores, which were limited in utah.

My best friend was/is a skins fan and back then they were really good, when Braman said if Buddy didnt win against the skins in the playoffs in 90 hed fire him my little kid heart was crushed when the birds lost and Buddy got fired

Ive hated the skins with a passion ever since.

I was lucky that I didn’t move to the DC area until the late 00’s.

By the time I got here, this was the general Skins chatter after a typical game (I heard this live)

We certainly owe them with a big playoff win

After the 92 Super Bowl was when I saw the light. I’ve despised Washington ever since lol

Yeah, way back in the early 70's. Their kicker in that 80's era, Mark Moseley, also played for the Eagles back in the 70's.

Omg I remember this so fondly. Good old fat Albert. What a waste. I wish Dan didn’t sell the team.

Wow didn’t know that. I met Moseley. If I’d a known that I would have had him sign an Eagles helmet not a Redskins football lol

Sounds like you're stuck in 90s.  Look at every remaining QB in the playoffs with the exception of Stafford.  They are all dual threat QBs.

The rest of the QBs other than Hurts are all elite passers as well making them much tougher to defend. Hurts is a below average passer at this point.

Ever hear about the 1970 Howard Cosell drunk MNF broadcast where he had to leave the game at halftime? Moseley was our kicker in that game. I was only about 18 months old at the time, so I have no memory of the game. But I have it on DVD somewhere.

They will be head hunting for sure. Both games against Philly have been chippy. Not sure if it would be as bad against the Rams.

Not sure the NFL wants a LA/Washington championship game. Two fair weather fan bases for sure.
