Matt Stafford threw 3 picks that got dropped, had a costly lost fumble, took a bunch of sacks on stunts too.

And he was healthy, except for a rib shot.

But Jalen sucks.

I don't think either QB played well.  Stafford moved the ball more thru the air but the turnovers and sacks hurt his team.

Considering the conditions I'm not surprised both QBs struggled.   At least Hurts didn't turn it over but the safety was a killer.

If we were to rank the most important players on the team now and going forward say the next 3 seasons, I’m going…

1. Carter

2. Nolan Smith

3. Mailata

I'd say barkley is pretty important.

One was clearly his fault.  One was the other team trying to win the game too.

Verse is a beast, no doubt, and he showed why it's fair to give him DROY, but Becton can do better on both of those plays.

And the defense, their last scoring drive they threw down the field at will.

Disagree. If not for the defense we lose this game. A team should never be forced to win in spite of their quarterback and kicker in the same playoff game

No he doesn't.

Listen to podcasts.  Read the film reviews.  They run a very basic passing scheme.  They don't call many plays from under center.  They rarely have him rollout.  They rarely run screens.

This offense looks nothing like what Moore did in Dallas or SD.

Rarely run play action.

Like maybe once a game.

Me getting ready to go down to Atlanta to support the team.

Yeah he's clearly #1 and it's not close

There are a lot of similar concepts. All the stick routes happened a ton in Dallas/LAC. We still ride hank a ton.

We have a QB who is a good deep ball passer and we don't call enough deep plays. That's coaching.

And Barkley (how could I forget)

I read his post wrong and thought he was just doing the future and didn't expect Barkley to last long

Lots of people comparing the Stafford/Hurts performances and Stafford got the benefit of a number of great catches from his receivers.

Stafford allows for those opportunities. That's why the plays are made.  And his skill also has something to do with that.

Better ball to AJ probably results in a TD pass for Hurts,  but we got what we got.

Stafford was pretty excellent yesterday.  Hurts wasn't even just ok.

What do you mean by 'call enough'?

If the primary receiver is running a deep route and the QB sees that the coverage is unfavorable, then he should be checking down.   They 'called' the deep route, but the defense took it away.

What you see happen on the field is often not the OC's first choice.

You can always tell who doesn't know ball when complaining about the ball placement of a back shoulder fade to AJ.

Disingenuous. It's completely separate from the reality of what actually happened on that play in real life vs hurts is good make believe land.

Go watch the play again. I’m sure Brown would tell you the same thing.  The ball hit him in the chest. He should have made that catch.

There were points of the game where the Rams were fumbling it all over the place and falling down etc as well.

Yeah apparently some fans think 5 fumbles in a game is perfectly normal and has nothing to do with the type of conditions that game was played in.

So winner takes the SB…

Moving on to the Redskins. In the last game, before Hurts got hurt, the Eagles were running the ball at will.

Oddly enough, the two players who worry me the most are rookies. Jayden Daniels and Mike Sainristil. Contain Daniels, don't let Sainristil make a big play oh and don't let Frankie Luvu hurt anyone.

Excellent is a strong word for that performance. He had multiple interceptions dropped and sailed the most important pass of the game.

To put things in perspective here. Team scored 28 points with all kinds of crap going on. Just about everything going against them. Still win. Faced the best defensive line they are going to face and probably  a one off for our massive offensive line. As long as Hurts is semi mobile I have no worries here.

That was a great ball to AJ that he flat out dropped

Lots of factors contribute. By your logic, if not for the QB (scoring a rushing TD), we lose this game.

Hurts, Elliott, defense, penalties, AJ drop, dropped INTs, giving up TDs to the other team, plenty of things went wrong and things to clean up. Yet, they won.

AJ is still influencing defensive fronts, and has made 3 consecutive all-pro teams. He’s there as well

Yeah you can safely ignore anyone who said the throw was the reason for that play not being made. They're not to be taken seriously.

What is the selfish nonsense he does? Is that guy referring to the book he reads?

Designed plays to go deep pre-snap. 8 in the box on 1st in and 10.

1 on 1 opportunity with a vertical element. Let it rip.

Jalen is an elite deep ball thrower. If you don't want him reading/taking sacks, let him chuck the ball.
