There were some bad holds not called. Notably one on Sweat very early in the game. He was directly behind Stafford, and directly in front of the ref. No way it wasnt seen.

The late tackle of Hurts after he was out of bounds was egregious.

And there was also a very dirty, very late hit of Barkley after he was down for a while. Also very blatant, had to be seen.

Mostly, nothing phantom that erased any big plays from us. And nothing phantom that extended any of the Rams drives. About as well officiated as you can get these days.

I was just happy to see Jalen Carter finally getting some respect from the officials finally drawing a holding call in his favor.

I'm not against a little home cookin' to ensure we win!

My only defense for the refs here....it was hard for them to see what the LOS actually was for all the snow.

Replay assist SHOULD have helped them out there.

Can replay assist be used in those types of situations?

Eagles and Siri should be putting the word out nonstop about Frankie Luvu and his illegal hits.  Get it in the refs minds before the game so they're watching for it.

A big 15-yard penalty on that dirty player could change the game.

He's going to start getting the calls now.   If anyone wasn't paying attention before they are now after yesterday.

Jake hasn't been perfect but these were two of the most clutch kicks of the year for him.  In those conditions, he misses either of those and it was a 3 point game with Stafford and Company in FG range at the end.   I haven't given up on Jake, Epic kick.

I thought that too until earlier this season or last when I looked it up and I recall reading it just needs to be a forward pass.

Yea, just looked it up. Seems you are correct.

In all honesty…

What is the point of having two high priced WRs when you’re running an offense that features Barkley and a QB that is a below average passer of the football and rarely throws for over 200 yards?

That money could be spent elsewhere…

Saw 2 crazy stats.

Barkley is the first player in NFL history to have 4, 60+ yard TDs against a single team. He did it in a single season.

Jalen Carter is younger than Jared Verse.

Ridiculous and ignorant statement:

Hurts to Brown: 2022 - 17 games- 88 recptions 1,496 yards; 2023 -17 games-106 receptions, 1,456 yards; 2024- 13 games- 67 receptions,  1,079 yards.

First off - those are not his receiving yards for this year. He had 833 in 13 games, so my guess is you just projected to make your argument appear accurate. And 2 - I’m not talking about 2022 or 2023. Hurts was an efficient passer in 2022. He is not even close to that right now.

Smith’s best 2 receiving games this year were from Pickett and McKee. That’s embarrassing. His game with McKee was elite. 11 catches on 12 targets from someone who can throw the football. Smith would be a top 5 receiver in the league if he had a pure passer as a QB that can actually go throw more than 1 progression and understand that Smith is open on almost every single play.  Smith has had 4 targets in both playoff games. That’s either the dumbest playcalling on earth, or it’s the smartest because they know how limited Hurts is as a passer.

That is an interesting rule though. In some cases it's regarded as a forward pass even if it is behind the line of scrimmage (laterals, intentional grounding) but in other cases it's regarded as a forward pass/lateral/running play (like this case).

So is Quinyon actually good or was he just assuming he was good? Waiting on mri results?

Disagree. If not for the defense we lose this game. A team should never be forced to win in spite of their quarterback and kicker in the same playoff game

A couple of times I have said if the D continues to be great, we can afford good specials (great not needed) and average O.  And so far it is true.  THIS is why we will win this week and against the Bills in the SB, imo.

Specials were average not good, but closer to good than bad for me.  Missed XPs and missed FG offset by decent punting (not great), making the FGs and no TOs on returns.  Also the kickoffs were solid.

Tbh we laughed at Sean Payton and saints when they went all in on reviewing penalties after that rams/saints fiasco. Frankly they should have someone in the booth watching every play to make sure the officials on the field get it right. Not just certain plays.

Then I have no idea why anyone would say Goedert screwed up and was past the LOS

No way

Is this a reviewable play? Coaches should be on this too

This. There’s no point to spend the money to have playmakers on the outside now that teams are just loading the box. There is no reason to not go 1v1 with the eagles WRs bec hurts can’t throw at all

We all know Siposs would have choked there. Remember last year when some people here just dismissed of finding anyone better than Siposs. Well, Howie got that one right too. He's been really good across the board. Elliott on the other hand...

Apparently it doesn't even matter, because it was clearly a forward pass

Here’s another one: including playoffs, Barkley has 20% of all 50 yard runs in the nfl this year

The short term issue with Hurts is mobility and the injury.  Outside of those two issues, we are complaining because of the "what if" for this offense.  But no one is suggesting benching him...outside of the injury issue.

If this injury gives Hurts a Matt Stafford level of mobility...I don't think he's playable.

If he can’t run what’s the point of having him out there? He can’t throw so how we going to move the ball? His only valuable asset is his legs and keeping the defense honest as a runner in the PA read offense. If he can’t run, we ain’t winning with his arm. lol

Not sure where the Goedert hate comes from.  The guy has been amazing every time his number gets called this season and not just pass catching/making plays - the guy is a grinder blocking.

Rumor is an AC Joint sprain. It will hurt but he should be able to play.
