College football f'ing blows.  Sad what an over produced sham of a sport it is now.

Games are 7 hours long, none of the players give two ishs about their school, you can't even keep track of who's on the team from one month to the next, and only about 4 programs can actually win the thing anyway, so why would I care about this at all?

And I'm from a state with no pro teams, raised on college sports. It's dead

Speak for yourself. It’s not dead to us Ohioans. Our buckeyes are CHAMPS!!

Good question. BG is strictly a PT DE now and you might get 25% of the snaps from him next year. Mack is still a starting DE/OLB. BG brings other intangibles too so you can't ignore that.

If the Eagles make the SB, I think BG pushes his rehab to come back, even if it's to play 2-3 snaps. Hell, they are dressing Huff to play 0 snaps. If that happens and they win the SB, BG retires. If the Eagles don't bring it home this year, I still think he retires but there's a greater chance he might come back.

BG-retires, Mack makes a lot of sense to replace veteran DE with the young guys.

If BG doesn't retire, there's a 0% chance it's to sign somewhere else and he's back here. I'd still consider Mack if he comes back.

Mack, BG, Smith, Hunt, rookie.

Interesting.  My personal preference would be for Howie to double dip in the Draft, which gives us

Smith, Hunt, BG, rookie, rookie, Huff

Just in case, McKee should be active for this game. And if Hurts is knocked out of it, we put McKee in and shock Washington and make Luvu wish Hurts was still playing.

Yeah, I’m on the McKee active bandwagon as well.

If that is "you getting a photo with him”, I really don’t want to know where you are when the image was captured

I wish the team would be on it, he's shown to be the better backup QB, they should not have Pickett as the QB2.   It's starting to feel like a Taijuan Walker situation where they only have Pickett as the QB2 because they don't want to admit their mistake in trading for him.

I rooted for you guys yesterday. That was a entertaining game but man I thought you guys were going to blow it at the end.

Come on TEW, lets get real

Washington - Daniels is better
Dallas - Dak is not
Giants - ??? is not
Bucs - Mayfield is better
Falcons - Pennix is not
Saints - ??? is not
Panthers - Young is not
Lions - Goff arguably is better
Vikings - Darnold is not
Packers - Love is a push with Hurts
Bears - Williams is not
Rams - Stafford is better
Seahawks - Smith is a push with Hurts
Cardinals - Murray is not
Niners - Purdy is not

So in the NFC 4 QBs are better, 2 are a push, and 9 are not better.

Buffalo - Allen is
Miami - Tua is a push with Hurts
Jets - Rodgers no longer is
Pats - Maye arguably is
Texans - Stroud arguably is
Colts - Richardson definitely is not
Titans - ??? Is not
Jaguars - Lawrence arguably is not
Ravens - Jackson definitely is
Steelers - Wilson arguably is not
Bengals - Burrow definitely is
Browns -  ??? Definitely is not
Chiefs - Mahomes definitely is
Chargers - Herbert is
Broncos - Nix arguably is
Raiders - ??? is not

So AFC has 7 that are better, 1 that is a push, and 4 that are not better

Grand Total 11 are better, 3 are a push, and 13 are not better

You have 8 in the AFC that are better or arguably better with one push. Then you have 4 that are better or arguably better with 2 pushes in the NFC. I think you are supporting his argument more than anything.

At the very least Purdy is a push also. He gives you the same thing hurts doesn't, safe QB play with minimal turnovers but he's a better passer. At least within the shanahan system. This coming from an enormous Purdy hater, dude was the most overrated man on earth in 2022 and 2023. He is a solid game manager, just like Hurts except he doesn't take the idiotic sacks.

Bothers me. Yes. Shouldn’t have lost to those scrubs. But nonetheless, we are still champions.

I went back and watched the last 5 minutes over again, from the point of Saquon’s TD run to go up 28-15.  From there on, the Eagles very nearly suffered an absolutely devastating playoff loss:

— Elliott misses his SECOND XP of the game.  Just WTF?

— Slay gets absolutely picked on every completion of the Rams next TD drive, including allowing some big slow white guy to get inside position on him for an easy TD catch

— after Barkley runs for 3 yards to get to 2nd and 7, what on earth was that QB bootleg call??  Hurts is on one leg, so let’s have him get buried 12 yards in the backfield to set up 3rd and 19?  That was an all-time boneheaded play call

— Rams get the ball back and start matching.  Finally, Stafford throws one up for grabs and DeJean drops an easy INT.  I understand it was snowing, but it hit him in both hands.

Thank goodness they made one huge play when it counted with the Carter sack.  I’ll have to go back and listen to the Sirianni PC.  I assume he was asked 5 or 6 times WTF that bootleg call was?

F Ohio State

Mahomes 177yds on 25 attempts

Allen 127yds on 22 attempts

Hurts 128yds on 20 attempts

The only QB that threw for any yards was Daniels with 299yds on 31 attempts and that was against an absolutely devastated Lions D.

Lots of rushing and very little passing overall.

I think the „Hurts drama" would be a lot less if he wouldn’t have been sacked 7! times. Some were his fault and that’s what gets people riled up (at least me). If you could, I know it doesn’t work that way, take out those boneheaded plays, then he would have had a good game.

Yeah, I went back and looked at the entire game and Hurts had one really bad throw and had two really bad sacks.  Otherwise, he didn't do anything spectacular aside from his long TD run but he was solid and didn't turn the ball over.

And he also had that long pass to AJB dropped and the nice screen to Goedert called back. Doesn’t take away his bad plays, but also would’ve put more points on the board and made his stats look way better.

We've also been fed way too much Jason Kelce since he retired. Enough already.

Agreed....I mean do they need the money that bad?  He made over 86 million in the NFL!  And he doesn't look like the type that just pissed it away on cars, homes, chicks, jewelry, etc.  So have some pride man, you're coming off as an attention grabbing ****.   I mean ok, choose a product/commercial that you like and run with it.  Not 50 of them!

So you and TEW are pretty close here in opinion.  You have Hurts tied with 3 guys for 12th... TEW has at least one of the guys you think is tied ahead of Hurts.  Where's the big disagreement?

Btw, after a quick recount, you listed 12 ahead of Hurts with the "arguably is"...

Daniels, Mayfield, Goff and Stafford - NFC

Allen, Maye, Stroud, Jackson, Burrow, Mahomes, Herbert, Nix - AFC

Seems you agree or can understand the argument to list Hurts no higher than 13, and as low as 16  So you don't have much disagreement with TEW at all.

Also, to all of you nitpicking fans, waaaa...waaaa...waaaaa, the Eagles will be playing in their 8th NFCCG since 2000 with a chance to go to their 3rd Super Bowl and play for their 2nd Lombardi.  I will tell you as a fan growing up in the 80's and 90's, be f'ing grateful!!  Enjoy this ride, there may come a time where there will be ZERO NFCCG's in 2 DECADES instead of basically going to a 3rd of the NFCCG's over 25 years!

It’s not even close for me. I’m 43. I don’t know if it’s an age thing, but Dawkins was so much more impactful for me as a football fan growing up.  Let me know when a safety like Dawkins ever exists again in the NFL. It probably can’t happen. I love Kelce. He is probably 1st ballot HOF, but what’s funny is we haven’t skipped a beat with Cam Jurgens.

Hand picked by Kelce and trained with and by Kelce...and Stout. Dawk and Kelce both great and can both be true...never get me to say a bad thing about either.

It's incredible how many people are ready to crown guys like Love, Stroud, Maye, Daniels, Herbert.  Even Mayfield and Tua.  What the hell have any of these guys done besides put up some nice stats from time to time?

Mayfield has bounced around and failed more than succeeded in the NFL. Tua is a joke, he's not a better pro QB than Hurts and is probably even more system-oriented.

All those other guys have awesome arm talent but need to actually do something to get that respect.

Well said. Also went through the 80’s and 90’s with a bunch of bad years. Those years with the vaunted defense and Randall at QB will always sting because they weren’t successful at the end for various reasons. With all the heartbreaking moments we have had to endure since A. Reid became coach back then, I’m still thankful for all the positive years capped off by finally winning that SB.

Yep, he's essentially stuck in the middle of the pack with about 4 interchangeable guys.

You'd think you would know that should they win it will be their 5th SB appearance...or 4th if we're talking just from 2000 onward.

Carry on though, super fan!
