Foles . Great all around game by the offense. Defense played lights out after they let the vikes score on their opening drive

I forgot how beautiful this game was…and my goodness the play design in some of this.  There’s a PA there with a post to slant read based off where the S goes that’s just crazily well executed.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Moore ever really had much of a screen game in SD or DAL, and we know our screen game took a major nose dive after Steichen left so obviously Sirianni isn't much help there. And before the usual suspects chime in, no, a screen pass is not something limited by the QB's ability. It's strictly a play design issue. If anything it's limited by the talent and mobility of your OL, but again, I think we don't have any issues there either.

Regarding your final sentence, I respectfully disagree.  Our O-Line is so good that when the opposing D senses they are getting a free pass rather than the normal blocking, it is a huge tell that the play is a screen.

Has a rookie QB ever played in the super bowl? If not, let's hope he's not the first.

No, he was a rookie in 2004, played in the Super Bowl in 2005 (2006 but the 2005 season).

No - in his rookie year we played the Pats in the SB

If his decision making sucked then he wouldn't have as few pf turnovers as he has and the Eagles wouldn't have as many wins as they have or be in thr NFC Championship Game for the 2nd time in 2 years or in the playoffs 4 years in a row now.

That dude played as well as he ever has for the two biggest games of his life. If there exists a QB who's had a better combined performance than he did in the final two games of the season, then I haven't seen it.

Correct was blown out by Tim Brady 40 something to not a lot and threw a handful of picks in the AFCCG.

Daniels set a California state record in 2017 with over 6,400 total yards during his junior season leading Cajon to an appearance in the Division 2-AA state finals.

That is part of the "not a rookie on tape” part.

Thought that was his second year. But I do remember a stat that his passer rating in the super bowl was lower than his age (Randle El threw the only passing TD on a reverse.)

Can the Eagles beat the conspiracy theory? There's an awful lot of red in that logo, and the words "Super Bowl" appear to be in a darker, maroon-like red.

That made for a fun meme a couple years but last year's logo had a LOT of purple and it was Chiefs vs 49ers so most people stopped that joke.

Most people.

From a tape perspective…probably 2 of the best games ever put on tape by a QB ever I’d say.  Stats aside…

I remember that night vividly…for a lot different reasons (i got my old roommate arrested finally for check fraud leading to me getting evicted and all my stuff stolen while i was in Iraq because he decided to show back up in town while i was restocking on beer at Walmart at half time and ran into him).  He was abysmal…that was the night the NFL became full WWE scripting things to get Cowher and Bettis rings.

I have this argument with my friends who are raiders, bucs, rams fans. I've known nothing but success in my time as an Eagles fan. Since I was a kid (I'm 31) they've had like 5 losing seasons. The standard has changed, it's no longer "oh nice we made the playoffs".

Obviously you can't win the super bowl every year unless you're the chiefs, but with the team we have right now honestly an nfccg loss would be an enormous disappointment. This is probably the best eagles team ever in terms of pure talent, and yet every game feels like a struggle even against weaker opponents.

Sure there may come a time again when there's no NFCCG in 20 years (if the NFL is even around long enough for us to reach that point and have a drought that long), but right now no i will not be grateful just to make it to an NFCCG. Am I happy they made it? Yea of course. Is the season a success if they lose the NFCCG to the FING COMMIES? Hell no. This is the easiest path any team could have had to the Super bowl, if they choke it's going to be embarrassing

Several comparisons position by position of the 2017, 2022, and 2024 teams has been done and 2022 beats out 2024 by a nose.  2017 is consistently third, but you can’t underestimate the "caught magic in a bottle” factor for that team.

He lost in the championship game  as a rookie to the pats i think.

It was surreal to watch, he was like a super natural being while everyone else on the field was mortal. Including in the first half of the SB when Brady had quite a few misses.

Odd…looking back at that list of rooks that made an AFCCG.  Flacco is a name that sticks out…pre Super Bowl he never was pretty, but he just won.  His SB run was absolutely ridiculous, but his playoff stats were pretty bad outside of that.  I know a lot was the defense and run game carrying…but that dude was a gamer till his knee got blown out and Baltimore got hit with the retirement bug.

The bucket drop to Jeffery to start the game and then the late one to Clement, are 2 throws that most QB’s can’t make in an entire career.

Is there a hot read that Hurts can check to that he doesn't? Are receivers running the right routes? Finally, he looked at Dotson and could have thrown to him albeit the defender could make a play on the ball.  He moved to Wilson and Wilson has leverage on his DB. He could have thrown to him but does not.  Then he runs out of time.  Hurts needs to have a better internal clock on this play.  He could just throw it away if he doesn't want to throw the first read which looks like it was to Dotson.  He should know they are sending an extra pass rusher.  I agree with Haff that the routes don't take advantage of the coverage but that isn't most of the reason there's a negative result on this play.

There is almost always a 2nd or 3rd read, or a check down right in front of his face when Hurts takes his idiotic sacks.  But we're not supposed to discuss that.  We should just be grateful and bury our heads in the sand because we're in the NFCC again.
