On the contrary, I suggest you create a twitter account and take it up with Shane Haff who posted the tweet in question. Show off some of your finely honed football knowledge to him and then come back and share with the rest of us what you've learned.

What does Shane Haff know?

Watching it back, Slay had a better game than I realized. He's not as fast as he used to be, so maybe he does better with matchups against bigger WRs like Nacua and Kupp, but it was pretty cool to see the old man ball out like that in back to back games.

Out of curiosity are there any similarities for the games that Pickett and McKee started?

That would be the answer for someone who likes to dig into film to figure out. This was the same thing last week against Green Bay as well.

Reason I ask that is that would tell you if it's only happening when Jalen is playing QB vs Pickett or McKee. Maybe with more of a passing QB they run something different

He's being generous even if he does feel partially responsible. Hurts had enough time to get rid of the ball regardless of the play call. At worst he should've thrown it away towards a sideline and hope that the refs give him the benefit of the doubt on a WR being in the vicinity of the pass. If they still throw a flag for grounding and call it a safety, then so be it, but at least you give yourself a chance with that rather than removing all doubt with a sack.

Calm down there paisan! 🤣

Some random thoughts on the teams eliminated this weekend:

Texans -- It's all really going to come down to finding out who is the real CJ Stroud. He and Jordan Love were the hyped up guys going into their second full years as starters, and both regressed substantially. As a side note, they are cautionary tales about getting too excited about the QB we are playing against this week. But that division should remain AWFUL, so I expect they will be back again next year. Gotta think they let Diggs test the market. If Stroud can bounce back, they should win the division but I still don't see them as a real threat to win the AFC over the Chiefs/refs, Bills or Ravens.

Detroit -- So this will be controversial, but...I think they are set to collapse next year as Dan Campbell gets completely exposed without Ben Johnson and (likely) Aaron Glenn. Campbell is a media darling for some reason, but his game management decisions make Siranni look like Belichick. We saw what happened when Nick lost both coordinators, and we had a lot more talent than Detroit and Nick is a better coach (seriously, he is). I think it completely falls apart and they miss the playoffs next year. The entire NFC North beat up on an easy schedule (AFC South, NFC West), and that flips to the AFC North and NFC East next year. Add in KC, TB and the Rams...Detroit is in real trouble.

Rams -- Assuming Stafford comes back, I think they have to be the favorites in that division in 2025. Let's assume Kupp comes back at a lower salary, then they really need to prioritize bringing back their LT Jackson and hoping the young defense continues to ascend. If Stafford has another year in him, they will be a threat in the NFC in 2025. The division should be bad again (49ers need to start tearing it down, Seattle doesn't have a QB, Arizona doesn't have a QB or coach). Health will be their biggest issue - Nacua and Kupp have to stop missing games.

Baltimore -- As long as they have Lamar, they are going to be a threat. They have to resign Ronnie Stanley, and they have to make a decision on King Henry -- you don't want him to carry a $12.85mm cap number, but you can't really extend a 31 year old running back either. Maybe add void years, flip most of his $6mm base salary into a signing bonus and save $4.8mm. The real question that needs to be asked -- is Lamar ever going to get over the hump. He had 2 brutal turnovers yesterday that can't be washed away by an almost game tying drive. Burrow is still in the division, and Lamar struggles with the Steelers and Chiefs. Feels like the window is closing.

Hrm. I don't know if that was the right terminology to use.

First off **** Red is a cheap house wine. It was basically a bunch of red wines swirled together. Secondly, **** is an offensive slur for an Italian.

EDIT - see the board knows it is a slur as well.

Good stuff. I agree with 90% of it. Especially this part about Detroit. I think they can still be a decent team but they are in for a big step back.

I think Stroud is just the usual sophomoric slump. Love had better passing stats than Hurts. They just need to continue to build around him

I'm curious what happens to Lions. It'd be a shame if they had such a short window. It's interesting to me that Ben chose Bears. Campbell will get more acclaim if they don't lose a step much

I wouldn't keep Henry but I hope they do (don't like Ravens). Father time will come for him soon

With a 7 team format, it would be pretty tough to miss the playoffs without losing 8 or more games, which I don't see happening. I think they make the playoffs but lose in the wild card round.

He almost never does that unless he's escaped the pocket already....it's one of my biggest pet peeves about him.

Also, major photoshop opportunity there 👀

For the many casual fans here whining after Ws.

I have this argument with my friends who are raiders, bucs, rams fans. I've known nothing but success in my time as an Eagles fan. Since I was a kid (I'm 31) they've had like 5 losing seasons. The standard has changed, it's no longer "oh nice we made the playoffs".

Obviously you can't win the super bowl every year unless you're the chiefs, but with the team we have right now honestly an nfccg loss would be an enormous disappointment. This is probably the best eagles team ever in terms of pure talent, and yet every game feels like a struggle even against weaker opponents.

Sure there may come a time again when there's no NFCCG in 20 years (if the NFL is even around long enough for us to reach that point and have a drought that long), but right now no i will not be grateful just to make it to an NFCCG. Am I happy they made it? Yea of course. Is the season a success if they lose the NFCCG to the FING COMMIES? Hell no. This is the easiest path any team could have had to the Super bowl, if they choke it's going to be embarrassing

I was more commenting on the negative nancys that have to rip apart Hurts, Elliott, Cheerleader #5, etc.........You would think we were the Raiders, Browns, Jaguars MB's.  Healthy debate is good, but man o' man are there just some people that are never happy on here.  And yes, sign me up for Curb Stomping the Commanders and no, no way in f'ing hell should we lose to them and I would not be happy!

Went back and glanced at the second Washington game.

Not only did Hurts leave, we didn't have Goedert.  Also, we've now seen how they would attack the run game and force Hurts to throw.

Lastly, and this is after having looked back at several games during the season, if we just throw to Dotson on every play we'll blow them out.  Defenders ignore him.  Just pump once to Brown or Smith and throw to Dotson.

PFF - Hurts was a 63 and Stafford was a 55

:-)

Except on the safety, he had Goedert right there and has to know to get the ball out to him.  It wasn't a terrible play call.  It was terrible execution.  Hurts could have easily avoided it if he took the check down.  He did not.

That too. Forgot about that. Huge part of that game falling apart.
