"How come they're allowed to say the D-word to each other but we aren't?!"

My father-in-law calls people the D word all the time.  But that's ok... we call him the D word too from time to time.

Except on the safety, he had Goedert right there and has to know to get the ball out to him.  It wasn't a terrible play call.  It was terrible execution.  Hurts could have easily avoided it if he took the check down.  He did not.

I'm gonna take a guess that under non snowing & non slippery conditions and a bum leg, he gets out of that one. He was holding the ball for dear life and petrified of a turnover. Peeps are really not gonna get over that one in here. Are they? 😁 Be happy. It all worked out! Turnover soon after the kickoff. At least Bish when it effs the game up.

Do you think Hurts is capable of playing better and making that easy throw to Goedert in snowy and slippery conditions?

What an awesome $20 buy from Walmart

That was a really wet situation hemmed in at the end zone. Not saying he can't do better. For sure. He's getting crucified in here tho. I just think that under normal conditions that play never happens. That's all. My educated guess is he was playing with a sprained MCL there.

I think he is capable of playing better but did not show it on Sunday.  Mistakes happen in games and I think they should have done more to help him but he does deserve criticism. He has to be situationally aware.  He lacked situational awareness that he should have in that play.  I am not crucifying him.  It's just factual.

Watch the play on rewind. Goedert comes off his rub and gets open. Hurts has about a half second to pull the trigger, which he should have, before the D lineman is moving on him. The play should have been a 1-read play and it would have worked. Hurts didn't process it that way and didn't expect Jergens to get beaten as fast as he did--doesn't look like he saw that happening in real time. Who is it on? (1) Moore for not calling for another 3-4 yd run with Barkley (first down play), (2) Jergens for a total whiff and (3) Hurts for not taking the easy outlet play. IMO

He constantly holds the ball too long even in normal conditions

If I noticed later today that Jason Kelce's face was on my paper towels, toilet paper, socks, the side of the amazon delivery van...it probably wouldnt surprise me.

LOL, I was in Target and him and Travis are all over the cereal section.  I'm still laughing at his fireplace Old Spice Commercial.   Look Jason is retired and just trying to keep busy. Some people are saying he's doing too much but I just think again he's just trying to stay active.  I still haven't seen the late night show yet, lol.

Clearly we're going to ignore how long that play took to develop and the OL totally whiffing on a block.

The best thing Hurts could have done would have been to identify the playcall as stupid before the snap, expect the pressure since he's near his own GL, and just planned to immediately ignore his first couple of reads and go right to Goedert.

It was a negative play but looking at it again it was a really stupid call and even worse execution by Jurgens.  Id say Hurts would be #3 on the blame list for that one.

:roll:F the Ravens

Gotta draft a RB. There's a chance to get some real difference makers. No need to spend money on KG. Put all available resources in to Baun, Williams, Becton. Sweat and Rodgers if you can.

During the game I made a post to not forget the screen game and you responded "Ew”. I didn’t understand at the time but I’m guessing you thought I meant those terrible WR screens, but I was meaning the delayed RB/TE screens.

I don’t know why they’re not a part of our offense, especially when Hurts is struggling to read coverage post snap.

lol yea, probably because it was in game so I’m not thinking much in depth but when I saw screen I just thought of the god awful WR screens that never work.

Wildly stupid play call. Sublimely dumb.  I don't want to hear it could or should have worked or G was open.  Don't care. Our guy is not great on the fast trigger stuff.

Then you get bad O line execution.

Then you get slow processing Hurts.

But WHY WHY WHY do stuff that we suck or at best are average at?  Just hand the ball off.  No one is mad if they just hand the ball the f off.  Maybe we have to punt but we get more room and don't lose 2 points.

I'm glad Kellen took reasonability for the safety, horrible call.   Saquon just rushed for 4 yards and your QB was dealing with an issue and you don't run it again to make it a manageable 3rd down since they were buried near the end zone.
