Lots of factors contribute. By your logic, if not for the QB (scoring a rushing TD), we lose this game.

Hurts, Elliott, defense, penalties, AJ drop, dropped INTs, giving up TDs to the other team, plenty of things went wrong and things to clean up. Yet, they won.

And yet they team was forced to win in spite of it's quarterback .

Gotta draft a RB. There's a chance to get some real difference makers. No need to spend money on KG. Put all available resources in to Baun, Williams, Becton. Sweat and Rodgers if you can.

I agree with this. Would like to see them go RB with their Rd 2 / 3 pick that can spell Barkley a bit more and manage his workload next year.

Between the rook and Shipley, we should have some depth without putting significant cap resources at RB behind Barkley.

I haven't done much study on the 2025 draft to have an idea on relative positional depth, but I see the Eagles priorities heading into the draft presently as follows:

-- EDGE

-- TE

-- RT

-- RB2

This assumes Baun is re-signed (hopefully Williams and Becton as well).  After that it can be BPA (which it always should be, anyway -- within reason)

Maybe Vic can find another Hunt in the 3rd.

Hard pass on RB in round 2 or 3.  Need DL, DT, TE, OT, S, etc.  Back up running backs shouldn't cost much in FA if they go that route.. I think they also like Shipley as well so we'd be going after a # 3 back

I'm gonna take a guess that under non snowing & non slippery conditions and a bum leg, he gets out of that one. He was holding the ball for dear life and petrified of a turnover. Peeps are really not gonna get over that one in here. Are they? 😁 Be happy. It all worked out! Turnover soon after the kickoff. At least Bish when it effs the game up.

Murph called it out on that particular play in the video but people still don't want to hear it. Slow developing play in those conditions on that part of the field when you're QB is laboring and the OL is getting owned. Not the best idea there. TE came open late after a chip block but by the time he got to him in his progressions it was too late. Hurts had trash in front of him, not the greatest throwing lane, and a monster coming at him pretty much in a jail break situation. Could have been worse than a safety. It was 2nd and 6. Anyone with common sense would run it again or do something quick to get out away from the endzone there.

If his decision making sucked then he wouldn't have as few pf turnovers as he has and the Eagles wouldn't have as many wins as they have or be in thr NFC Championship Game for the 2nd time in 2 years or in the playoffs 4 years in a row now.

His decision making was fine in 2022 when they went to the SB.

Can't say it's been the same since.  They've had success this year because they lean on Barkley, the O-line and the defense and Jalen hasn't been turning it over.  That's the recipe.

I think he is capable of playing better but did not show it on Sunday.  Mistakes happen in games and I think they should have done more to help him but he does deserve criticism. He has to be situationally aware.  He lacked situational awareness that he should have in that play.  I am not crucifying him.  It's just factual.

Nope, any discussion of poor Hurts play is crusification - you are not allowed to discuss on an Eagles MB where and how the QB could improve and play better

The first 3 rounds need to be DE, DT, and TE.

RB and OT can wait another year.

Copy cat league. Top RBs are easily identifiable in the draft. Regrettably, they are not going to be overlooked like in the past drafts. If this plays out, late Rd 2 RB is a previously late Rd 3 to Early Rd 4 RB. Late RD 3 is Gainwell/Shipley. They should also entertain a workhorse UFA. There are quality bangers here who won't break the bank: https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/_/year/2025/position/rb.

Late round 2 should be DE or LB. IMO

One more thought, when you have a great player on a team, other players at that position watch and get better. Gainwell has improved a lot this year.

When there's one obvious reason it makes sense. When there's a lot of issues to blame but you ignore those and only harp on one, it's just obvious bias.

Again we're talking about a game they won.

Depends on who they re-sign in FA....I have Milton and Baun as priorities so dont have DT on the list (but have RT/RG up) but that obviously changes if say we sign Becton and not Milton

Eagles will beat the Commanders.

Either way, think we need to have a plan in place for Barkley potentially missing some time next year - given history of high worload backs the following years.

I personally would like an upgrade compared to what we had this year in Gainwell / Shipley combo, just given how much this team relies on the running game and also to reduce Saquon's regular season workload next year.

Never thought I'd see good ole Honey Buns being a desired coach. Good for him.

Rumblings the Cowboys are making an offer to hire Brian Schottenheimer as next coach. We'll see if true.

Maliata needs to find him and level his ass

You guys act like a win negates anything bad. Like nothing can't or shouldn't be improved upon or fixed

"You're complaining about a win"

Meanwhile the actual players will always respond that there is room for improvement

DT may be top priority if Williams is gone.

I went back and watched the last 5 minutes over again, from the point of Saquon’s TD run to go up 28-15.  From there on, the Eagles very nearly suffered an absolutely devastating playoff loss:

— Elliott misses his SECOND XP of the game.  Just WTF?

— Slay gets absolutely picked on every completion of the Rams next TD drive, including allowing some big slow white guy to get inside position on him for an easy TD catch

— after Barkley runs for 3 yards to get to 2nd and 7, what on earth was that QB bootleg call??  Hurts is on one leg, so let’s have him get buried 12 yards in the backfield to set up 3rd and 19?  That was an all-time boneheaded play call

— Rams get the ball back and start matching.  Finally, Stafford throws one up for grabs and DeJean drops an easy INT.  I understand it was snowing, but it hit him in both hands.

Thank goodness they made one huge play when it counted with the Carter sack.  I’ll have to go back and listen to the Sirianni PC.  I assume he was asked 5 or 6 times WTF that bootleg call was?

Yep - this was very close to being a loss that's why a lot of us are saying they really need to clean it up and play better the next two weeks.

D let them march right down the field and score a TD when a stop would have sealed the game, the O couldn't seal the game with a couple of first downs, the D then let them march down all the way to near our 10 yard line till Jalen stepped up with a couple of huge plays. We were literally one more 15 yard pass away from losing the game...
