This game is going to come down to our defense. If they play the run and tackle well, I think we will have a good shot of containing the Commanders. You cannot allow them to have success on the ground, as it will make stopping Daniels a hell of a lot harder. Then they can go on long, time consuming drives and that’s been a winning formula for them when they’ve beaten us.
They seem to give us problems, even when they’re really bad…

What's the point of opening the 21 day window for Covey if he's going to practice but not play?

Sounds like he's playing.  He was a full practice.

How is 21% considered filled?

Also there are a lot of Eagles fans in the DMV. I know because I was one of them

21% of Commies fans have not bought tickets. It's fake news and more garbage from that garbage account that should've been blocked on here a while ago.

21% of a niche ticket resale website when the majority of Eagles fans probably didn't even sell their tickets.

Watch out!

Every time he looks great at practice he comes out and wets the bed.

Set the training camp record for no interception. Games started and he couldn't stop throwing them.

Concussed. They said he practiced great.  Stinker against green Bay.

I think I'd rather hear that he can't move.  Because now that's what I'm expecting.

I have a love-hate relationship with the national media shows this week.  I just heard one of the only guys that I halfway respect say that this upcoming game between the Eagles and the Commanders is going to be a shootout.  I get that Jayden Daniels is having an all-time rookie year.  But you would think some of these guys would have less recency bias.

The Eagles and the Lions defense are polar opposites.  The Eagles have only allowed about 16 points per game since the bye.  Yes, I know the commanders scored 36 last time.  I think 21 of those points came after CJGJ left the game (someone correct me if I’m wrong).  I also just trust a seasoned defensive coordinator with a stout defense playing at home over a rookie QB any day. It’s almost like these media guys have never watched the league over the last six decades or so.

Now, if Daniels proves me wrong and lights the Eagles D on fire, then he deserves everything they say about him.

I am also obviously biased… But I try to check that bias and be as objective as possible. This isn’t just biased because I believe in the Eagles defense, this is basic NFL history. Rookie quarterbacks are not supposed to look good in games like this… Not against defenses like the Eagles have.

My bigger concern about Cam's injury involves the moving of Dickerson to center. That effects two positions which I have heard over and over agin that Stoutland tries to avoid.

Let's try to spin a positive light on it. Cam is going to play, but if he can't finish, Dickerson got some run at C and a lot of practice with snaps so at the very least, he won't be going in to it cold on Sunday if it gets to that.

It's 21% of tickets sold on the secondary market. It's not as many as people think when they see that %. I'd take a guess around 3-5k seats or less sold on the secondary market.

1k Skin fans in a 69k plus stadium is not much of a take over.

I think the only chance it plays out that way is if Washington gets a big early lead, and I think the only way that happens is something unforeseen like a TD followed by a pick 6 or fumble return TD.  As long as the Eagles are ahead or tied (or even down 3-4 points) they will try to wear the Commanders defense down by running at them, and organically that runs the clock.  There are several reasons for this -- Commanders 30th ranked run defense, the Eagles run-first formula is working, Hurts' difficulties hitting big plays in the passing game (which has been an all-year thing, pretty much).

The game sets up much as the Rams game did.  Barkley ran for 296 yards in two games against Washington this season, and the Eagles will feature him again.  Washington will have to decide whether to play single-high safety or not.  My suspicion is Quinn will play two-high safety but creep the safeties closer to the LOS; try to keep Barkley's production manageable for them while forcing Hurts to throw over their heads and hit a few big plays in the passing game.  The Commanders will also test Hurts' mobility by defaulting to tackling Barkley on any play action or option plays.

I'm hoping the Eagles get to 27 or 28 points, and I'm reasonably confident they can keep Washington under 21.

Exactly this.  ONE website has 21% of its sales to people residing in the DC/MD area(s).

1) how many total tiks to the game were sold on that website? 100? 1000? 5000?

2) how many are Philly fans that live out of area?
