I don’t care too much about Kellen, I think he’s alright. An upgrade from what we had but not an advantage coaching wise. I just want to see Jalen have some continuity with his OC

I don't care for Moore either. Was expecting so much more when he was hired but I've been disappointed. I'm just happy that Hurts looks to keep his OC and have some stability on offense

And Friday night news dumping a HC hire is something else.

It tells you everything about how proud of this move they really are.

I wish he wouldnt find joy in the doubt. Rather he find joy in proving the doubters wrong. As it is, he must purposely be playing bad to continue being doubted because he likes it. Kinda explains some things.

Bringing BDN energy to the Linc.

It sounds like Schotty might bring aboard Eberflus as DC. That would be a decent start to the coaching staff.

Im guessing this was the orchestra @just relax was watching during our playoff game on Sunday.

Eagles fans on the EMB to other fans who have no impact on the outcome of a game: "stay focused on this week, one game at a time!"

Players & coaches during a playoff run: talking about retirement, going to other teams, interviewing for other jobs.

Gotta keep the main thing the main thing.

Just think of the irony here, as I was NOT one of these people. I defended the pick against the masses in here.

And also hilarious that they had basically the least thorough coaching search of all time.

Hiring from within, after the previous coach is fired because of ineffectiveness is a special kind of stupid.  But hey... the Eagles did this back in the day when Norman Braman fired Buddy Ryan, and hired Rich Kotite off the staff.

And you know when you are following in the footsteps of Norman Braman, you are doing some special stuff.

I think i recall you defending it. I defended it too. I still do,  just wish he would be more consistent.

I like the Raiders' hires. Carroll is old as crap, but at least he's a proven difference maker.

As long as all of their games are finished by 5 PM, he should be able to eat a quick dinner and be in bed by 6:30.  👍

Funny thing is, it’s all of the AFCW. Sean Payton is the youngster at 61.

Harbaugh is also 61.  Just checked... Payton is the youngest though, by 6 days.

Damn. Way to throw the losing candidate under the bus.

Still stunned by the Schottenheimer hire.

The Cowboys fan optimistic pov might be that he’d be a CEO type coach like Sirianni to run the program and the organization would hire strong coordinators to run offense and defense.

Or it’s a crazy short deal and they just wanna tank. That would surprise me though - tanking won’t make Jerry as much $.

But yeah I this reeks of 3 straight years of 8-9 and he’s gone.

Don’t think many are too optimistic

I just abbreviated your post… And I sort of agree. But I only agree because the grading is subjective. or at least I assume it is… Somebody correct me if I’m wrong if they know better.

Mahomes will always get the benefit of the doubt and higher grades because he’s Mahomes. But if a second year, much lesser known player, has the exact same game as Mahomes, something tells me he comes out with a far worse grade.

At the end of the day, how do they really grade these players?  I would think it’s subjective and human beings that work for PFF are assigned to certain games and certain players.  I don’t claim to know exactly how they do it, but I’m assuming that it’s not without pre-established bias from a player’s historic performance and reputation over the years.

If you're bored, here's the link: https://www.pff.com/news/pro-how-we-grade-offensive-and-defensive-linemen

Obviously mistakes will be made, but they have a system. One of the issues Carter has had this year is missed tackles. He's had 9 while Jones has had only 2. One key contributor to the missed tackles is simply taking yourself out of position (or allowing a blocker to move you out of position). Carter will get better with experience, but his tackling and overall run stopping needs to be more consistent to get higher grades.

Cowboys fans on Twitter seems to be pissed about Eberflus too. I’m not sure I get the hate. Former HC to help Schotty and has led some good defenses in Chicago.
