Renovations coming

So he paid 195 million for the team 20 years ago, and it's worth 8.1 Billion...that's got to be the greatest investment ever!  And he still owns 85% and gets a cool 1.2 Billion dollars.  Damn!

Pierre Paul had some success under Vic. If Vic gives the green light, bring him in. I always liked Irvin, I'd investigate him as well.

Would be an ironic full-circle kind of thing if they brought in JPP to replace BG.

Vic Fangio knows his defense so well I'd trust any new vet to replace BG.

Yeah, it was his responsibility until the exchange with Sydney Brown.  Kupp had inside position, Q got his feet crossed/slipped, the safety was a bit late and Stafford delivered a nice ball - c'est la vie.

On a second viewing, I might've been wrong on trix, but still looks like cover 4 and the ball was delivered just outside the hash, with no other routes deep on that side of the field, so it was a hole shot type of situation. If it was a seam route with Kupp lined up tight, you can make a better case that Q should've passed off to Brown, but with a skinny post from the slot, at best you can say Q expected help from Brown that came late. Definitely Q's assignment to some degree, but a damn good route and throw that split the deep zones.

Is Earl Thomas still around?  That would be the cherry on top.

Man it's crazy how Graham aged compared to those guys who we ****ed about not getting in the years after he was drafted. What a beast. Rare longevity.

Hopefully those include making everything on the stadium kelly green colored and changing the jerseys back to it full time.

What's taking so long? I thought they said last year it was going to be permanent in 2024

No, it'll never happen. They love midnight green.

You're leaving out the best part.  His now ex-wife's family (Smith - GC Cinemas) put up the equity for the original deal.  And through it all he ended up with the team.

I’m definitely rooting for a Ravens win tonight because they always seem to play better after a loss.

Living in Baltimore, I’m really hoping this isn’t the week Hurts has a dreadful game.

What part of Baltimore do you live in? I'm in DC. Would love to talk some trash to my Ravens fan friends.

Any word on Josh Sweat?

He went back in to the game and looked to be OK, but haven't heard anything as of today.

I remember being SO MAD that the Giants drafted Saquon Barkley but then remembered, they were still the Giants. He never was what he was at PSU. The fact that the Eagles have PSU's version of Barkley is unbelievable.

I might get killed for this but Saquon reminds me of Barry Sanders.  He's the closest thing I've seen to him.   Obviously hes bigger and a little taller maybe more powerful  but any hand off he gets is a threat to take it all the way.

The HC is responsible for managing the clock at the end of the half.   That's a "CEO" moment.   The 4th down play call isn't up to the OC, in terms of having carte blanche.   The goal for the play must be clearly stated to the OC before allowing for an offensive play call there, versus a punt.   The goal of the play has to be: 1 - kill the clock, the play MUST take 7 seconds.  2 - guaranteed to result in a first down.   And since option 2 isn't possible, then option 1 is the only option that remains... and the information shared to the QB must be that no matter what, this play has to take all 7 seconds off the clock, and the clock doesn't stop until the ball LANDS, even if its thrown into the 50th row of the stands.    And an intentional grounding call at that point isn't a worry, because the half can end on an OFFENSIVE penalty, it cannot end on a DEFENSIVE penalty.

So, yeah.. that's on the HC, because its ultimately HIS decision on how to handle the last seconds of the half.  And as 'CEO' HC, he shouldn't have tunnel vision about getting a first down, but be focused on the game strategy decisions.   Moore gets his share of the blame for a failure to execute, but the HC needs to be better at communicating what to do in that situation and what the goals are.

As for the idea that Hurts could scamper for 10 yards on 4th down... that ignores that that exact option just failed on 2nd down.   But, in the end, the decision to allow the OC to go for it on 4th down, with 7 seconds left in the half at midfield isn't up to the OC, its up to the HC.  And the HC needs to either approve the play call, or dictate the play call.  They were unprepared for what to do in that situation.  And that falls at the feet of the CEO.

"and the HC needs to either approve the play call, or dictate the play call. "

I think you just described the dysfunction that this team doesn't need

From this list, Green and Lawson seem like the picks. Body type makes sense and they've done something-ish in the NFL. I'd for sure work them both out.

If we're talking pure outside rusher, I'd rather take my chances with Jalyx Hunt. But if Fangio wants to mix in those looks he had with BG, he's gotta look outside.

I can't see BG ending his career on IR. He's back next year. In a sense, he just saved some wear and tear on the rest of his body!
