Unlike the last matchup in 2022, we can stop the run with 6 man boxes AND our LBs are actually disciplined. TJ Edwards was atrocious in the SB and should have been replaced by Nakobe Dean. Not hindsight: said it at the time. The zone coverage we run also makes it harder for QBs to scramble too.

I'm more worried about Kelce, given what Ertz/Higbee have done to us in back to back weeks.

This is where the Dean injury is showing up.  Burks is good, physical, but not as good a tackler, not as fast and simply can't cover a TE or RB.

We now enter the time of year where some obscure allegation surfaces in an attempt to distract the team.

I was watching Saquons post game interviews with great interest.

With everything he has gone through in his career, it would be very easy to be satisfied with a big win like this.

But nope, all business with complete focus on the next game and winning it.

Great sign for our chances IMO

He's 30 yards from the all-time record for single season rushing (regular and post-season combined)... And he's about 172 yards from the all-time single post-season rushing record (2 yards behind Riggins going into the Super Bowl).    Granted, if he was all about records, he'd have stayed in the games throughout the season, but with it being the Super Bowl... that might be the game to go all out and just rack up whatever yardage he can.   There won't be a game to save it for in the weeks ahead.   Just get what you can get, Saquon... and...

This team is in a better place for the Super Bowl than 2 years ago.  There is an axe to grind against the Chiefs, the roster is far more better balanced and the O has Saquon in prime form.  The D,so far, seems to be better coached and is way more physical. The team overall have the subtle swagger of a team that knows they are good, but knows it won't win if they don't work hard and do its job.

I hate the fact my first thought with the Chiefs is they will get bailed out by the Refs - it shouldn't be a thing in this day and age. The Chiefs are a very, very good team that has talent and great coaching, but the overall perception of many fans is they are the leagues favourite and will get bailed out. They are still trending on X for the questionable calls last night - not healthy for the NFL to see

I can’t believe how good Hurts was yesterday.  I’m eating a little crow. I did not think he had the ability to put up a performance like that. Only 1 bad drive where he took that sack and pushed us out of field goal range (Jake Elliott’s at least).  That 4th down teardrop to AJ Brown made my pants tight.

Likely right. The straitjacket comment will be the first one twisted up and spit out over and over again.

...and how about Saquon's blitz pickups yesterday?  He stoned Luvu on multiple occasions.

Josh Allen feels so much like a durable version of Wentz.  Trying to maximize his time in the pocket and takes a beating for it.  I don't think he has the leadership issues, but there are a lot of physical and game similarities.

Some poetic symmetry...

Washington put up 22 in the 4th quarter in their win week 16.  We put up 21 on them yesterday.

He pancaked Bobby Wagner too.

He picked it up perfectly,  but Becton gave Wagner a little shove as well.

How far from 3000 total yards from scrimmage?

Short lived but Wentz was better.  Allen is inaccurate.

I’m as guilty as many of the criticism of this coach and this QB. Much of it is warranted, some of it is not. But we are in the Super Bowl for the 2nd time in three years and have the chance to not only hoist another banner, but like last time, make history and end an evil empire’s reign. Yes we will be underdogs again…right where we like to be. It’s been one hell of a Fing season but it’s time to finish the story.

We played you guys tougher than Washington did wouldnt you guys agree?

240, which isn't outside the realm of possibilities.   He's 2 yards behind Terrell Davis for the most all-time.

Saquon is 165 behind Anthony Carter for the most all-purpose yards in a single post-season.

You were wearing pants?

Great all around game yesterday. As much as an A type of game one can expect. All facets of the team were involved in an awesome victory.

Eagles have a chance at redemption in two weeks.

Win the SB in New Orleans and make up for the very first one in 81, which we lost to Raiders.

Beat the Chiefs and pay them back for that devastating loss two years ago.

We’re the last defense to their three-peat.

Let’s go 🦅   It’s time to slay the dragon!

One of the reasons I feel more confident in this matchup compared to two years ago is the schedule and quarterbacks this defense has faced compared to 2022. Burrow, Lamar, Love (2x), Stafford (2x), Daniels (3x), Baker, they even caught Bryce Young during his good stretch if you want to throw him in there. The 2022 defense wasn’t nearly as tested in the quarterbacks they faced. Especially in those playoffs leading up to the Super Bowl.

You did not lose by 30+ points and get 55 dropped on you, so yes.

And our DC isn't browsing for properties in Arizona on Zillow.

We almost had you guys in week one and only lost by 12 the second time after we pulled to 16-10. We had chances.
