I can’t believe how good Hurts was yesterday.  I’m eating a little crow. I did not think he had the ability to put up a performance like that. Only 1 bad drive where he took that sack and pushed us out of field goal range (Jake Elliott’s at least).  That 4th down teardrop to AJ Brown made my pants tight.

His two best games were yesterday and the SB.  He's been pretty good in the biggest moments.

btw - That sack wasn't really on Hurts.  Total whiff by Calcaterra after a semi mixup between Dickerson and Steen and Luvu was in immediately.  I went back and looked at it a couple of times.  Hurts really had no chance.

What did Jalen mean when he said Sirianni let him out of his straight jacket?

Yeah that’s how I interpreted it too. This team has played within themselves this year because they have been able to due to Saquon and the defense. In this one there was an opportunity to really open it up a little more and they did.

240, which isn't outside the realm of possibilities.   He's 2 yards behind Terrell Davis for the most all-time.

Saquon is 165 behind Anthony Carter for the most all-purpose yards in a single post-season.

Just think,  if he had stayed in some games (and last night was another rested 4th quarter), and played well week 18, no doubt he would have 3000 already.

Wow.

We played you guys tougher than Washington did wouldnt you guys agree?

I think y'all ran out of gas towards the end of the season and were just too beaten up to do much of anything in the playoffs.

That said, our first matchup was very close.  The playoff game wasn't especially close.

If only Calcaterra could learn how to block we wouldn’t need to be worried about looking for a TE in the draft.

Off-Seaon blocking camp for Calcaterra. ;)

Luvu was illegally trying to

He's done really well, at some point during this season he decided he wasn't going to try to force any tight throws and since then he's been damn near perfect.  If the throw isn't there, he scrambles and throws the ball away.  When you have an offensive line and a running game like ours there's no reason to force it.  He makes me nervous when he dances around in the pocket, holding on to the ball forever before deciding to throw it away...

I feel very good about our chances against the Chiefs.  This does not feel like 2022, this team is much better.  This defense has been feasting in the playoffs.  No Gannon to screw up our defense this time around.  In Vic we trust!

I also can't wait for Saquon to break off a long run for a TD in the biggest game there is.  That might actually be the best free agent signing of all time, aside from maybe Tom Brady to the Bucs?

Only 15 carries yesterday too. With the extra week break, he should be fresh.

Everyone should be fresh ... even our Centers.

What's the word on the injuries to Landon and Cam?  Hopefully nothing serious?

Best one I’ve seen yet. 😂

Love hurts at the end.  Wasnt expecting that.

Total team effort yesterday. Only major miscue was from Jake Elliott; just praying he won't be the deciding factor in the Super Bowl.

...and how about Saquon's blitz pickups yesterday?  He stoned Luvu on multiple occasions.

And you know Luvu would have taken serious shots at Hurts if he could have.

Josh Allen feels so much like a durable version of Wentz.  Trying to maximize his time in the pocket and takes a beating for it.  I don't think he has the leadership issues, but there are a lot of physical and game similarities.

I’ve said this before, their bigger issue is that Sean McDermott in games like this doesn’t have his defense show up. The Chiefs did not scored over 30 points all season. So last night they scored 32 and it’s the first time they do it all year. Sean McDermott‘s defense when they play the Chiefs in the playoffs is giving up close to 35 points a game. Their offense is scoring 28.3 and the last 3 games they are scoring nearly 30ppg. Furthermore, the bills would’ve beaten them if his defense could hold up for 13 seconds a couple years back. Take it a step further, the ravens were down 8 points with just under three minutes and 30 seconds left in the game with no timeouts. Lamar Jackson went 88 yards in a minute and 50 seconds against that defense. If not for Andrews dropping a 2 point conversion from that game potentially playing out much differently.

i’ve said this before it feels very much like a Tony Dungy Tampa Bay Buccaneers type situation. Where he might have gotten you as far as he can take you and you need somebody to get you over the top. A new voice. He’s a good coach but at some point that discussion has to be had.

I’ll say this… We get a hard time as a fan base but every other fan base is "just as bad”.

Yesterday during the game during that whole brotherly shove soap opera I have my birthday messaging saying "yeah keep doing that Washington, hurt the Eagles players”

Then today a friend messaged (Whiners fan) "so it’s the tush push vs the officials, great what a snore fest”. I mean he does realise the Whiners SB run was built on much the same last year right? A QB making the odd play and looking after the ball, an elite running back and an elite defense.

Opposing fans just need to pipe down.
