Have to give Zach Ertz some credit.  He played a great game.

Wow, just wow, I missed that one yesterday.  He's such a force.  I want him to intercept a spiked ball.  One day he's gonna get the timing of that one down.

Harris is a good owner.  He's just not a great owner for the city of Philadelphia.  He should sell the 76ers.

Hurts best two games in his career were yesterday and the SB.  He does his best work in the biggest games.

That was my point about my McNabb comment compared to Hurts yesterday.  For all of his limitations, I still feel confident he’ll bring it.  I never really felt confident in McNabb going into a big game

Jalen Carter may well be the highest paid defensive player in the league at some point in the near future.

If only Calcaterra could learn how to block we wouldn’t need to be worried about looking for a TE in the draft.

Off-Seaon blocking camp for Calcaterra. ;)

To put that in perspective - that’s running over one and a half miles with eleven 200-300 pound men trying to rip your head off every step of the way.

I think y'all ran out of gas towards the end of the season and were just too beaten up to do much of anything in the playoffs.

That said, our first matchup was very close.  The playoff game wasn't especially close.

I honestly dont think were going to be that good next year. We play the AFC North and NFC East. That will be very tough.

I would argue some of the Sixers problems stemmed from the top down.   First, he let the NBA push him around to put Colangelo in charge. Who pissed away assets they had and had burner gate on top of it all. Harris never should’ve allowed that. Stick with your plan. then he allowed Brett Brown to Be making personnel decisions at a critical time in the sixers window. Brown had no business being given that much clout. Frankly brand also shouldn’t have been as he was still young in his position. They paid the price as they signed Horford to a miserable contract and Tobias Harris while letting butler walk. And don’t get me started with their training, staff and medical staff. They’ve been a disaster in that area for years now. Part of the reason why the Sixers are stuck where they were and are where they do now is because of countless issues stemming from the top down.

The fact that they ultimately had to just hope Paul George lasted at an all star level for at least two seasons to give them a chance of a championship window, is because they did it wrong. That was your last hope with Joel Embiid because you pissed away assets and cap space and made poor decision after poor decision for years. And it all started with Harris bowing down to silver at a critical time in their building of the team.

I will give Harris credit because he’s willing to spend money on the roster, but just cause you spend money doesn’t mean you’re good at it. The money they’ve spent has gone to some really **** contracts and screwed their window with embiid. Simmons extension bad. Horford awful. Tobias Harris bad. Looking like Paul George is not gonna stay healthy and be a bad contract.

I can’t believe how good Hurts was yesterday.  I’m eating a little crow. I did not think he had the ability to put up a performance like that. Only 1 bad drive where he took that sack and pushed us out of field goal range (Jake Elliott’s at least).  That 4th down teardrop to AJ Brown made my pants tight.

I think his best play all day was the pass interference Devonta Smith, in the end zone

You can already lock that in. Chris Jones is making 31 a year

It was the 4th down throw to AJ. That was a dime

Total team effort yesterday. Only major miscue was from Jake Elliott; just praying he won't be the deciding factor in the Super Bowl.

That wasn't a major miscue.  Miscue definitely, but major?  Not so much.

Honestly rewatching the game might have been the play that changed the entire course of that game. If he doesn’t hit brown on that 4th down then the commanders down 2 get the ball at midfield with a chance to go up into halftime.

I’ve said this before, their bigger issue is that Sean McDermott in games like this doesn’t have his defense show up. The Chiefs did not scored over 30 points all season. So last night they scored 32 and it’s the first time they do it all year. Sean McDermott‘s defense when they play the Chiefs in the playoffs is giving up close to 35 points a game. Their offense is scoring 28.3 and the last 3 games they are scoring nearly 30ppg. Furthermore, the bills would’ve beaten them if his defense could hold up for 13 seconds a couple years back. Take it a step further, the ravens were down 8 points with just under three minutes and 30 seconds left in the game with no timeouts. Lamar Jackson went 88 yards in a minute and 50 seconds against that defense. If not for Andrews dropping a 2 point conversion from that game potentially playing out much differently.

i’ve said this before it feels very much like a Tony Dungy Tampa Bay Buccaneers type situation. Where he might have gotten you as far as he can take you and you need somebody to get you over the top. A new voice. He’s a good coach but at some point that discussion has to be had.

They were a totally different defense when Rapp didn't play this year. Him being out really hurt them

Both were dimes…but the one to Devonta was on the run after avoiding the rush.

The Sixers owner buys a team that rivals the Eagles so the Eagles owner buys a team that rivals the Sixers. I love petty richness.

For people who have gone to the Super Bowl before, when is the best time to buy tickets?  Cheapest now or do prices generally drop at all in the leadup?

You won't be loving it when Roseman takes the opportunity to be GM for the Celtics to try it out in a different sport.
