You know Becton is also only 25, right?

I do. However, you can’t pay everybody. I’d keep baun, Williams and becton if possible. But i have what I think is a viable replacement in Tyler Steen who’s gonna be cheap for two more years and 24 and someone stoutland also loves that they drafted him in the third. And played well when asked to come in.

to me if they’re planning to move becton our to right tackle when Lane retires then it makes sense to re-sign him and eventually have steen at RG. If we could only sign 2 of 3 of baun, becton and williams then I’d go Williams and baun due to having stoutland and steen. Frankly I’d love to keep all three. But i don’t think that happens

I think if he had let up it maybe doesn't get called but he ran through Barkley trying to hit him.

Yeah if he extends his arms, there's not only a better chance of initiating contact before Barkley is out of bounds, but he'll get the benefit of the doubt from the refs that he wasn't using unnecessary force. Instead the moron tries to drop a shoulder into him and make a big hit which carries a much bigger risk of drawing a flag when the timing is questionable.

At this point Nolan Smith is playing his way to a solid pay day too. Not a bad problem to have.

We all knew Saquon was good before the season started. I really undersold how good of a leader/teammate he would be right away. Can't believe the Giants let that leave their building.

I'll say that I was extremely excited when they signed Saquon.  I was hoping he still had it in the tank...and I can say that he's exceeded even my expectations for what he could be this season.

THREE 60+ yard TD runs in the playoffs... first one ever to do that.

And... he's actually limited himself.  He could have so many more yards if he had wanted them, including ANOTHER 60+ yard TD run in the playoffs against the Packers.  But, its always team first for him. Amazing.  I'm not sure I've seen a more selfless superstar in this town.  And I thought really highly long before he ever came to Philly.  He's blown me away... and I expected ~1600+ yards rushing and 2000+ all-purpose yards going into the season.

Some idiots out there asserting that the hit on Saquon shouldn't have been called.  That's been called a penalty for 50 years.

They keep their main thing the main thing.

Milton's name will be near the middle of this list when he signs his deal. I think the Eagles take the comp pick and trust Ojomo is the next guy in line.

I mentioned it to @HazletonEagle... the subway before a game is like a mobile party! .  Though, this is the first time I saw THIS level of party!    There was a guy that always brought a pig head to the Vet for matchups against the Redskins though... every time.

Yea, Howie's done a great job building this team. Next challenge is deciding who the core is and how to keep them together and then replacing the ones who depart with adequate or even better players.

At this point, I want a defense built around Carter, Smith, Mitchell and DeJean. Those 4 guys are the main group. Can you keep Milton Williams and Nakobe Dean for the long run? Can you sign Ringo to a team friendly deal before he truly finds his stride and hits his prime?

I'm looking at 5-7 years with this core group. You might only get 2 more years out of Baun. Williams might walk. One of the two safeties probably gets paid somewhere else at some point. Can they add a DE and DT in the draft? It's not a strong LB draft so let Trotter develop. Lewis Cine is here, can he finally be healthy and be a player?

The mentions there are hilarious where Commanders fans are asking for a flag. If you're going to throw flags, you have to penalize both guys😅

Well, they were disillusioned by the PF on CJGJ after their guy knocked his helmet off... and then tossed from the game for saying mean words in the 2nd matchup. :nonono:

The weirdest thing is that he was holding his lower back on the field, and as he walked off the field. I think he injured himself on the flop.

Would serve him right.

Oof. Yeah I’d put him at about the same level as Hargrave. That’s a bit rich. Especially since we still have Davis for another year, Ojomo and Booker showed flashes, and Carter may become the highest paid defensive player ever in a year or two.

Priority should be signing Baun.

They've ruled on thousands of calls before without actually seeing the physical ball in 1 angle because of multiple angles painting the whole picture. It's not some new concept and I'm not sure why you're fighting on this hill

You showed a shot that didn't show the ball.  You can piece shots together yeah for sure but that's not what you did.  You showed one shot where you could see the ball and was short of the line and then one shot where his head and part of his body were over the line but no evidence of where the ball was at that point in time.  You would need another shot showing the ball at the time where his body is over the line.  Do you have that other shot?  If not then it can't be overturned.

I've ragged on this team for their gameday roster decisions and some of the headscratchers over the last few years, but the decision to keep Jurgens up yesterday instead of saying nope, he can't go was huge for this team. If Cam's not dressed, that OL looks drastically different once Dickerson gets hurt, or even worse, Dickerson tries to gut it out and makes his injury worse than what it is (which we still don't know how bad or what it is).

Kudos for the final decision to have Jurgens active.

Yeah, if he tried to hold up and nicked him a bit then he would have been fine.  That was a full hit a yard out of bounds and that has been called a penalty every single time forever in this league.

Kicker is a lot more interesting than the tight end.

And Howie is licking his chops to trade out of that first round pick for extra draft capital.

Carter is a borderline psychopath, which is what’s needed for that position. If he can continue to find that balance of having a high football IQ, being disciplined, while also being a little crazy, we’re in good hands.

Yup

Yeah, it seemed like a strange decision at the time but it made a huge difference.  So Cam could have gone from the very beginning but they were very comfortable the the Dickerson/Steen combo and letting Jurgens stay on the sideline.  That's massive confidence in all those guys to make that change for the NFC Championship game.

You have to keep Baun at this point.  We needed to keep him even before the Dean injury.

Becton is a no-brainer too - after watching what this offensive line has done all season, you keep him either at guard or you have him be the Lane replacement and you know he can kick inside if needed.  You only let Becton walk if Lane tells you he's playing for another 3, 4 seasons.

Williams is the one they can most comfortably replace.

Where’s becton on OL FA list this upcoming FA? I have to imagine it’s going to be near the top of FA list for OL in a league desperate for OL
