Jordan Love beat you guys up…Hurts was bad that game, but Love’s play made Hurts look like an MVP.  He was that bad.

I wish I could have given more than one like to whoever posted that tweet that said (paraphrasing):

"The haters said you couldn't do it, 10 ... and the haters were correct.  Seriously great call by the haters"

That was spectacular.  Maybe because I'm a hater.

Tack it to the bulletin board.

Maybe he will take Kellen Moore's place if he leaves for the Saints.

Kingsbury is more likely to go there.  I don't think any wise owner will attribute the Eagles success to Kellen Moore (as much as the o-line and Barkley).  Key word being wise.  I'm not saying Moore's terrible.  I just don't know how good he actually is - and I would think that confusion is probably common and shared around the league.

Love it.  I also love that the Chiefs actually look really strong right now, too.  And Mahomes is playing his best ball of the season, really.  Last thing I want is a broad consensus that the Eagles are the better team.  Eagles heard that two years ago...I did anyway.  I prefer them being the underdog.  At the end of the day, the consensus better team going into the game doesn't matter that much in reality...just what makes me feel better lol

On purpose, to create controversy.  He's in the media business.  Just ignore him and all the rest.  We have to trust what we know and see as fans.  This is why the EMB is great.

I think Nakobe Dean's inability to stay on the field makes the decision to pay Baun an easy one.  Howie will sign him at about $12-13M AAV.  The big question will be who plays hardball in negotiations, Williams or Becton.

I expect Baun to be right around $10M AAV.  With incentives based on how well the team does.

Howie can probably be creative with those incentive bonuses too.  Baun may feel he’s more likely to hit them here w/ Fangio than someplace else

I do. However, you can’t pay everybody. I’d keep baun, Williams and becton if possible. But i have what I think is a viable replacement in Tyler Steen who’s gonna be cheap for two more years and 24 and someone stoutland also loves that they drafted him in the third. And played well when asked to come in.

to me if they’re planning to move becton our to right tackle when Lane retires then it makes sense to re-sign him and eventually have steen at RG. If we could only sign 2 of 3 of baun, becton and williams then I’d go Williams and baun due to having stoutland and steen. Frankly I’d love to keep all three. But i don’t think that happens

By your logic they also have Williams’ viable replacement on the roster.  Is Steen better than Ojomo?

With that said, I expect all three to be extended … but not Sweat.

Man... it doesn't get much dumber than Skip... and yet people still tune in and he cashes in on it daily.  He's either the world's best troll or the luckiest moron.

That was in preseason.  He has publicly eaten crow since then.

Oof. Yeah I’d put him at about the same level as Hargrave. That’s a bit rich. Especially since we still have Davis for another year, Ojomo and Booker showed flashes, and Carter may become the highest paid defensive player ever in a year or two.

Priority should be signing Baun.

I don’t count on Booker.  I don’t see him at the Ojomo level.

Plus it is a very deep and talented DT draft.

I'll have to go back and watch some highlights of the Harbaugh bowl but I recall Flacco carving up the Niners fairly easily, so I'm curious to see what exactly went wrong there on some of those plays. I will say that we may just have that Niners team beat from a talent perspective, but it's probably pretty close.

DL: Justin Smith and Sopoaga were dogs, no doubt, but Jalen Carter is almost a cheat code at this point.

  • Verdict: 2024 Eagles

Edge/OLB: Aldon Smith was just a nightmare for OTs prior to his substance abuse issues.

  • Verdict: 2012 Niners

ILB: I know I'll catch some heat for this, but it's not that close objectively speaking. I've been singing Baun's praises since Week 1 (I think he's the highest priority to re-sign), and while I thought Burks played exceptionally well filling in for Nakobe, but as good as they've played,  Willis and Bowman, they ain't.

  • Verdict: 2012 Niners

CB: I had to look them up because they were so unremarkable. Carlos Rogers and Tarell Brown. Yeah I'm sure they played well but I'd be shocked if they weren't the prime beneficaries of a DB friendly Fangio scheme and the all-pro duo at ILB. No brainer.

  • Verdict: 2024 Eagles

S: Looked them up too. Dashon Goldson and Donte Whitner. Better than their corners but Whitner was a liability in coverage at times. Gotta give this one to us too.

Edge or interior DL will be the first pick

Yeah, this can’t be emphasized enough.

This draft doesn’t have a lot of blue chip top 10 type players, but it is EXTREMELY deep at DT, EDGE, and RB. You can get a Williams replacement relatively easily.

And RB in particular might be the deepest class since 2005.

Kicker is a lot more interesting than the tight end.

And Howie is licking his chops to trade out of that first round pick for extra draft capital.

I’m very interested in Elijah Arroyo from Miami as a TE. The video analysis of him should start this YouTube clip, but if it doesn’t do that the analysis of Arroyo starts at the 41:00 point.

Their top 15 TEs are as follows and Fairweather is not among them.

Agreed. Walter Nolen would be a dream come true at DT.  There are four or five Edges that would be good pickups.  If Howie has a long list of solid targets still on the Board when we pick I fully expect he will fleece another team that wants that fifth year option.

I wonder how many of those were when he was head coach for the Broncos? You setting up your excuse for Hurts just in case the Eagles lose? I looked it up. 3 seasons with the Broncos.  So 0-6 with them. That makes a big difference.  I won't put to much stock in that stat.
