Would make more sense to go back to the Broncos

That's an interesting take.  Why the Broncos?

Even with a hypothetical loss to the Rams two nights ago, putting us at 8-3, I would still be feeling so much more confident about our ability to contend in January than I did last year at this same point with a 10-1 record.

For Miami.  He ain't coming to Philly.

Throwing this out for debate...

What did John Madden do as a coach that Sirianni isn't being asked to do?

When Madden was coaching the Raiders...

  • Stabler called the plays
  • There weren't two-point conversion or replay challenge decisions
  • He had 11 Hall of Famers play for him (Biletnikoff, Blanda, Branch, Casper, Willie Brown, Guy, Hendricks, Otto, Shell, Stabler, Upshaw)

He inherited a Raider team that had gone 12-2 the previous season.  He had lots of talent to work with.  He wasn't known for any scheme or innovation.  He didn't have to deal with as much game management as today.

Thoughts?

Turducken.

One thought about stacked boxes against Saquon and this Eagles O-Line ... with a stacked box, if the O-line opens a hole for Saquon through that stacked box, there isn't anyone in the second line of defense to stop him from taking it to the house.

He's done that frequently recently.

Don't know why the Dolphins would do this, but extremely conspicuous timing

Dolphins have two choices.  Honor the contract and put him on the roster or release him.  This really reeks of a player challenging them to do either so he can play out the season.  After the trading deadline so they can’t trade his rights. Seems more of a player move unless the Dolphins contacted him and convinced him to come back.

With Thanksgiving a couple days away, I'll share a story.

About 20-25 years ago, my wife and I were just married and living in NJ, and I saw the turducken on Thanksgiving Day.  So, I decided to take it on, but not to compete with Thanksgiving dinner with the in-laws, I prepared it for a Christmas week feast.  (The in-laws always do lasagna for Christmas.)

So, I got myself a duck, chicken and turkey... and proceeded to spend about SEVEN hours de-boning the things!    I carefully placed layer upon layer of stuffing between each layer of bird... and proceeded to lovingly suture the turkey back together.  I threw it in the oven and it seemed to take forever to cook.

It finally came out of the oven and it was the biggest thing I've ever seen served up for a feast.  I got a 25 lb turkey to ensure it could hold all the other birds inside.   The eating experience was ok, but it definitely wasn't worth the hours and hours of prep.  I'm sure I made a bunch of errors and likely could have tried different steps along the way to make the process faster, or to make it better, but that time investment just didn't make sense.

On the other extreme, I found a guy on Youtube that teaches you how to roast a "whole" turkey in under an hour.   This is much much better!

I used to listen to Bo and Berman but the show has gone downhill. Jamie also sucks. I don’t get his appeal

That Jamie Seltzer guy?  Yeah.  Way too homerish and squeeky for me.

Dean is quietly rounding into form

What I like more than anything else is that Dean is wrapping up to make the tackle.

. There is indeed evidence to that fact.

Does anyone know what the link for a YouTube of all of Saquon’s TDs this year might be?

The analogy is one of spirituality, not Religion.  Romans Chapter 1 is Religion.

Frankly, it is a mix of discussions.  Your context was for the word believe.  Your example was belief without evidence.  @Iggles_Phan countered by citing evidence.  Sort of like you saying belief in Santa Claus without evidence and his offering up that Santa brought him gifts as evidence.  The bottom line is that you can have a belief without evidence and you can also have a belief with evidence.  As @McMVP was asking was whether the belief was founded in evidence.  You did offer some evidence, circumstantial and slim though it might be.

I’d point out that the evidence offered in the Santa example assumes a fact, as logic equations tend to do.

So, seems like running the ball is a good idea with a monster O line and the best RB in the league. Who knew?!

Weird body type to replace Graham.

For better or worse, think we're looking at Sweat/Nolan/Jalyx/Huff the rest of the way, with Tarron Jackson playing like 5-10 snaps a game with Huff out.

Holding out a liiiitle hope we can snag a 6-2ish, 275+ kinda guy to keep those BG looks

Wouldn’t be surprised if Hall sees an elevation.  6’6” 295 so a big DE/DT type perhaps at this juncture?  They kept him on the PS all season, which for a rookie, may suggest they see some developmental capabilities in him.

Anyone got a good turkey brine recipe?

Sadly, last year’s collapse was easy to see coming.

It's almost like Hurts wasn't the problem last year, when it came to our struggles against beating the blitz.

One guy who I think isn't getting talked about enough is Moro Ojomo. For a 7th round pick in only his 2nd year, he is making some real nice plays. If we lose Milton Williams this offseason, I could see Ojomo stepping into that role. Huge draft steal so far.

He was one of my favorites last year. Obviously won’t be a superstar, but he’s a plus contributor in a rotation.

I'm not a huge draft guy, but I feel like he was expected to go earlier. Super raw and new to football, but the physical traits are there.

They'd have to cut him, but do vets go through waivers as well? I'm sure someone else would grab him and he'd end up retired again.

He does

Williams is becoming a priority signing for me. I was down on him so far, but as Jalen Carter ascends, Williams is the direct beneficiary. He's taking advantage of Carter and using his 1v1 skills to wreak havoc. Give me a fierce DL please. I like Ojomo, but let's not just let a rising young DT leave.

Yeah most of the mocks I saw were late 4th or early 5th.

When you get late in the draft I don’t know why teams don’t focus more on physical tools and draft 5th year seniors who will probably never be able to compete instead.
