Can we thank the Giants for actually one-upping the Vikings Reagor/JJ FO leaks with their Hard Knocks Saquon Barkley content. It just keeps winning

The gift of Brandon Graham never ends.  It's worth the time.

He doesn’t "want to” he just didn’t rule it out. McCarthy is going to be out in Dallas.

You have to wonder if Kellen Moore will be on his short list of potential replacements.

Moore has seen what the Dallas HC goes through working for Jerrah.

Also, that team is on a personnel cliff right now.  Aging QB.  Less than a handful of star players. Questionable draft process.  Cheap owner in FA.

Jerry should just name himself head coach already.

Stack the box / mush rush / take away the scramble to the right / bracket #11 - basically force Hurts to stay in the pocket and find the open man and make an accurate pass.  Not really a new thing but with #26's crazy success, almost a must now.  Should see it this weekend I would think.

Thanks for the reply.  We don’t see you here often.  Hopefully we will see you more.  Always good to have another insightful voice.

Regarding you comments, my read of them is that they are all focused on Hurts rather than Saquon.  As long as Saquon is going off like he has been, isn’t taking steps to limit Hurts putting the cart before the horse?  Saquon has shown that stacking the box on him (with this O-Line) is an invitation for breakaway runs.  Any mush rush deployed to address Hurts simply plays into Stoutland’s hands.  Our O-Linemen engaging a D-Lineman or LB who is in a mush posture is going to feast, leaving gaping holes for Saquon to run through.  Then when the opposing DC adjusts to address Saquon, play action from Hurts becomes a much more attractive option.

Thoughts?

Hope all this Shaq Barrett stuff is true and we pulled him out of retirement. Not sure how long the process takes and what Miami does with his rights, and then does he even clear waivers... Seems convoluted, but if we get him here along with Charles Harris, that's a very good attempt to fix the issues.

Good to see you gd.  You’ve been a bit scarce around here … and have been missed.

When will we know if Houston was claimed by someone ahead of the Eagles?

I think Jerry is going to consider him.  I don't know  if Kellen would want the job.  His view on Dak is going to be positive.  Dak is 31 which isn't that old.  He will know that Dak can understand and execute his offense.  He also may look at this year and think that they can invest in o-line and d-line to improve the team.  It's not an ideal situation but it's not terrible.

Jerry signed off on firing Moore after the 2022 season. I'd be surprised if he is a candidate to come back.

I don’t disagree but I wonder where Moores head is at. He’s been the hot coordinator who cooled off and has been through multiple HC interviews with never getting the nod. He’s on a similar trajectory of a Bieniemy. I don’t think it would be a shock if he took the job.

No DeVonta this week either.  Guess we won't see him until the Steelers game at the earliest.

Today at 4

Sounds like it’s up to Hunt to pick up the slack, according to Vic

1.  Barkley should be the NFL MVP if the season were to end today.  Lamar Jackson is having the MVP QB season with incredible stats, but there is fatigue there.  Call it the Embiid effect.  He probably belongs around 3 or 4 in the odds though, simply because it's tricky for him to keep it up and the RB inertia for the award.

2. Moore is getting a HC job, somewhere, and Siri + a new OC will be running the offense next year.  We knew this would happen (it was either that or they all got fired after a bad year).

3. I know everyone adores BG, but the loss is getting overstated.  He was edge 2B on a defense whose biggest weakness is top line edge production, not edge depth.  The memory of what he did on Sunday night was against a backup tackle who isn't long for this league.  Graham's value to this team was his strength and discipline in setting the edge.  They can and will find that from someone else.

When BG is mic'd up, those are always the best videos.

Perhaps, but he's significantly younger than Bieniemy, so I think he has a little more time before going all the way down that road.

Didn't Kelce say that to BG last year when he was playing Dexter Lawrence

I'm obviously biased for my dislike of Ravens but the mvp shouldn't go to a QB this year as overall the quality has been down this year

I think it depends on if Moore is happy here or not. Does he want a different style QB? Even though he is supposed to have control over the offense... he's been overruled by Nick (though it seems lately that's stopped). He may be fine with staying if Nick really lets go the responsibilities of the offense to Moore

I think I'd be worried about whoever they get again and Hurts having to learn yet another new system

True, he has time to still build on his name. It just seems like in the NFL with the coaching cycles it’s hard to be the hot name, cool off and then get hot again. Every year or so some other younger guy shows up and becomes the new hot name. NFL teams seem focused on finding the next McVay, like Ben Johnson or Bobby Slowik. Specifically in Moores case, it seems like he’s getting less and less HC interviews each year.
