Ones that can throw the ball well, and process the game.

Id probably take some that are lesser overall as a player in general because I feel the mental aspect of their processing, as well as arm talents are more valuable than a few scrambles from Hurts with all of his shortcomings. And when you mix in so many of those horrible QB draws....

I do not feel that what he adds with his legs, outweighs the collective potential contributions of the rest of our skill players if they had a QB who was able to maximize their talents.

More production from Smith, Dotson, Goedert, RBs more involved in the passing game, even using AJ Brown in even more varied ways making him even more dangerous... All of that sounds so much better to me than a spaz QB who has to limit his throws in games and occasionally makes a few plays with his legs.

I'm not asking you to name them but how about a rough number.  Would you say 3 or 7 or 20 or what?

OK...let's add another type of QB to the Blog glossary..."Maximizing QB".  For that matter, we should also include it's evil twin..."Minimizing QB".

So you are saying that Hurts minimizes the offenses potential?

I have him on ignore and hate to say it but I kind of agree with HE

Assuming we can only keep 3 of Becton, Williams, Baun and Sweat who do you keep?

How about if we can only keep 2?

Normally I would be fine letting Becton walk and keeping the defense together, but not only is Becton good but he’s unique.

I think my priority is Baun, Becton, Sweat, Williams in that order.

Part of what needs to be considered is who is sitting behind the player.  For Baun, that’s Trot2 and BVS.  For Becton, that’s Steen and Keegan.  For Sweat, that’s Hunt and Huff but they also lose BG, most likely. For Williams, that’s Ojomo.  For Gainwell, that’s Shipley.  So basically, the Eagles drafted or signed replacements for all.  Plus they have some extensions coming up for other players and the cap hits from Cox and Kelce retiring plus likely hits for Bradberry and BG.  So cost becomes a factor.  We also have Rodgers, Mann, Lovato and Fred Johnson coming up although after seeing Fred’s placement on the island chart, I am not sure what he can command. And is Driscoll on a one year deal?  (BTW, note that Bates was inactive last week that makes me think he may be the back up C.).

I don’t disagree but I wonder where Moores head is at. He’s been the hot coordinator who cooled off and has been through multiple HC interviews with never getting the nod. He’s on a similar trajectory of a Bieniemy. I don’t think it would be a shock if he took the job.

He’s 36, so hardly over the hill.

Not sure I like the trick play this early but it was funny that it took half the defense to just push Sewell out of bounds.

Who do we want to win the Cowboys-Giants game?

As much as I hate the Giants … much much more than the Cowboys … this time I want them to beat the Boys.

Go meteor!

No way the Cowboys lose to Drew Lock. Imagine losing to that guy, ha ha....

Lions kinda remind me of the 49ers last year. They get rolling, they can drive you into the ground. You stop the run and complicate things for the QB, you can get them. Also not nearly as scared of their defense

I don't see the eagles catching the lions for #1 seed

That's all we use

Has everyone heard the background…

Not sure that's a catch but here's hoping.

Yep it's ruled incomplete. Oh well.

I think we beat the Lions but head to head, not in the race for 1.

Everyone says I’m negative, but I think the eagles are in the exact wrong spot in the playoff race.  Going to run down Barkley et al chasing the 1 seed right down to the last week of the season thus not getting any rest…

Wasted challenge. That wasn’t close.

But gonna be tough for eagles at #2 assuming #3 seed makes it to the divisional round and that will most likely be falcons or bucs

Bears 29 looked scared to tackle him

Eagles are going to have to take care of them. Shame they beat Houston. Will probably be in Detroit.
