So the play takes 8 seconds, that means you have 23 seconds to get yourself set to get it off with 1 second left. If you can’t get yourself set right with23 seconds on the clock that’s a bigger issue towards coaching. After a timeout you get 25 seconds of play clock so you’re telling me with 24 seconds they can’t get themselves set right? They would have 23 seconds in your scenario to get themselves set right. That’s not exactly rushing it. It’s a whole 23 seconds.

23 seconds to get set up and 1 second to snap it isn’t some small amount of time where you have to rush everybody out on there. It is an entire play clock after a timeout

also, with the way Caleb Williams was holding onto the ball a play for him might have taken all 10 seconds if you want to call a play with 10 seconds. So you might never get to use the timeout. That last play he called at eight seconds. used up the entire time. Wasn’t even caught. If it was caught that’s another potential 2-4 seconds. There’s a chance you don’t even get to use the timeout in that scenario if it’s caught and guy doesn’t go down fast enough or close to the sideline. Imo just as much of a risk factor of clock running out snapping at 10 seconds. Feel like 15-17is much less risk if you wanted to preserve the timeout and run a play.

i’d be much more on your side if it was closer to 20 to 22 seconds. Not 32 seconds. Because 20 to 22 seconds yeah maybe the play takes 10 seconds now you’re rushing guys onto the field with 12 seconds just to get a kick off. You’re not rushing anybody when you have 20 seconds to get set up to kick a field goal if the play takes 12 seconds. That not rushing them.

It’s just really poor decision making and risk management.

You don’t put your chance to tie the game in jeopardy in order to run 1 extra play from the 35.

Way too many moving parts. Way too many things that can go wrong. Theres absolutely zero reason to risk the entire game on one play to maybe get a closer FG.

Feels like everyone’s trying to hurdle someone this year

Overshown has been a good find for them

Aiyuk is currently out for season I don’t see how you deal him with that new $120M/4yr

I don’t think they could. The time to do it was the offseason. With the new contract the choice would be Deebo. But can’t even do him I’ll 2026 due to the structure of his deal.

After the sack, it wasn’t at the 35. They were at the 41. So that’s a 59 yard field goal with a poor kicker.

The issue was more on second down. Williams can’t take a sack but the bears play call was stupid. Re-watching it and solak’s break down they were running a QB draw. Explains it looked like their WRs were running slow developing routes cause they basically were just jogging and waiting to block their guy. Needed 5-8 yards to get yourself from 35 to the 27-30. Didn’t need to convert a 2nd and 20. Just get 5-10. Better off throwing it to preserve time and timeout if incomplete

Something doesn't add up with the Barrett story. That he wants to unretire and play and a team can deny him the ability to play by not activating him. I still say he finds his way to the Eagles and holds the fort til BG comes back in January.

Going well with the coaching staff

Is that a possibility? That BG could still return this year?

It already happened with Deion Sanders years ago and Graham isn’t coming back this year. Stick with the "Eagles won SB 57” shtick instead of making up stuff to confuse everyone.

Yes. Will need to see how he responds and what he's able to tolerate. If you put enough positive energy out there, anything can come true that you desire.

Another horrible call. That's a catch.

This is somehow worse than the first game

Actually it's not that surprising, it's two bad teams compared to just one earlier.

I'm probably late noticing this ..... but should this be allowable for NFL team reps (not just scouts) to be visiting college facilities (not games -- facilities) before a college player has even declared for the NFL draft?

Members of the New York Giants' scouting team and management group were reportedly present at the Colorado Buffaloes' facility this week to take a closer look at quarterback Shedeur Sanders, a potential top name in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, members of the management team were speaking directly to Colorado coach Deion Sanders and watching practice at Colorado's facility.

"The Giants brass [visited] Shedeur Sanders, Deion Sanders and several of the top QB prospects," Rapoport reported on NFL GameDay. "They've been to Miami to see Ward, they've been to Texas to see Ewers, the Giants are doing work on all of the top prospects and the work is just beginning."

Tbh schoen and the entire giants FO might not even be back next year so it’s likely not helping the giants all that much lol

Pushups on the sidelines is weird as hell to me

This is really his rookie season because of the ACL last year in the last preseason game. He’s a little light in the seat for a team that needs run stopping linebackers imo, but could be a heck of a SS, I bet Darren Woodson played SS at a heavier weight. Different times with nickel being played more than base defense now days. But yeh, good pick for a 3rd rounder.

If Andy Reid had Turpin he'd use him way more than Dallas uses him.

  wow

They got rid of Daniel Jones for this scrub to take over?

Reid has Xavier Worthy - just as fast - maybe faster than Turpin
