Presumably forever (in the NFL).  I remember this was an issue when Brady didn’t sign a one day contract with New England when they celebrated him.  Allows him to come out of "retirement” easier because he is officially retired.  I remember, last year I think, the Eagles released Bernard Williams, who they technically still had the rights to from his decision not to apply for reinstatement.  At the same time, they released their rights for Myles Jack.

Are you sure that's accurate on the one-day contract aspect? I thought one-day contracts were purely symbolic and didn't have any affect on their rights should they decide to come out of retirement.

I think we're getting blown out.

Feels like a stinker of a game against a really tough team

especially if hurts and offense can't score early

I'm expecting it also, can't remember the last time they beat Baltimore in the regular season. As long as we come out healthy I'm OK with it.

With losses by the Jags and Raiders the Giants have dropped to the 3rd overall pick. So there's that, at least.

This is my concern. Falling down early and letting them lean on Henry and taking Barkley away is a recipe for disaster, especially with Smith out

Ours

If we didn't have Hurts I'd feel better about it. He may have to throw today and he'll pull a Hurts.

Feels like with TO was the last time. However that’s the only one i can remember us winning.

This game really is on the defense. The offense is going to start slow, it's who they are at this point. If the defense also starts slow and we go down big early it's going to be a very long game.

This is a game where you need hurts to win it, a terrible passing defense with a great rush defense. I don't think he can do it

Yikes

Three defenders there to stop Fields and they all let him run by lmao

Rodgers wasn’t a FA. The Jets actually traded for him, which seems worse when you think about it.

At yeah, true. That makes it even worse indeed.

2 QBs are going early. I am not sure the Giants are going to do any worse having the 3rd pick.

So not shocked that Jacksonville came back and made it a game when Lawrence went out.

thats why they 4-7 ..4-8 now

I'm more worried about Lamar running than anything else they do on offense. Those 3rd down runs are demoralizing. Eagles have never won there, though they have tied.

Good start- now don’t let up.

I predicted a slow start…which means they’ll come out firing.

Depends on what happens week 18. If it's a meaningless game for us they could win and get to 3 wins. That should drop them down further. But yeah, otherwise you're probably right.

Giants are a badly run organization I wouldn't worry too much about what pick they end up with.

To be fair, in between then and now there’s only been 2 games. Both came down to the wire too.
