I'm still unreasonably annoyed that the blatant hold on the Ravens was basically disregarded on Lamars 39 yard run.

The Eagles should have shut them out in the 2nd half, and the fact that they threw then picked up the flag is absolutely mind boggling.  It should have been 3rd and 13, no way they convert that and score a TD.

The NFL needs to seriously get their refereeing under control because not only is it insanely frustrating but it actually makes you question the validity of some of these games.

At any rate, I've pretty much learned to shut the hell up during opponents' first 2 drives. Because, like clockwork, Fangio figures it out and makes adjustments and the defense just locks people up.

I have not yet found this same level of zen with offense.  I totally understand saving Barkley for the 4th quarter but for gods sake can we get some better playcalling to start our games??

YUP!!!   Refs were pretty bad most of the game, but they had checked out by that point.  They just wanted their warm locker room by that point in the game.

The refs had a massive hard on for the ravens all game really. The amount of missed holds is very disturbing and yeah makes you question the bigger picutre. You could understand once or twice, but carter must have been held at least 20 times with them turning a blind eye and getting us for nothing.

The replays of most of these penalties were not shown, theres a good reason - they were bogus.

The crazy thing is, the flag was on the field. One of them already threw it. And the head ref had to go announce that they picked the flag up. While youre announcing, just announce the penalty.

I know it didnt end on the spread, but I bet they were trying to get it closer. Had baltimore recovered an onside kick and been able to attempt a hail mary who knows what happens.

And the flag they picked up in the secondary, probably just cause they felt bad calling a penalty on an injured guy... then he came back in to the game anyway.

Given that the NFL wants betting on every aspect of the game and the FF element - the refs can’t swallow their whistles when the games get out of hand, folks will have a good reason to notice. Fortunately, the o/u wasn’t affected.

Yep, if tucker not missed those kicks the ravens would have probably win.

However, if my grandma has wheels she'd be a bike.

While the Ravens had 7 points off the board due to missed kicks, 6 of them were long kicks that were no gimme.  And the final 7 points they put on the board were a pure gift.

Something positive to come out of the NFL yesterday that might help the Eagles this week: the Panthers nearly pulled off the upset over the Bucs.  That should help the team not look past them and stay focused.  But the Panthers are an easy team to overlook, especially sandwiched between two playoff quality opponents.   This team can't afford a let down while they are chasing the Lions.  So, having the Panthers nearly pull off the upset should help make the case that they can't look past them and look ahead to the Steelers game.

Last night was an emotional game for the whole team.  The defense wanted to bog down Henry to slow down his rushing totals, and the offense wanted to extend Barkley's lead in the race.  Both accomplished their goals, but they can't have an emotional let down this week coming home for a 1PM matchup against perhaps the worst team in the NFL (Though, the Giants make a strong case!).   Gotta keep the laser focus through the Panthers, Steelers and Commanders.  Then we'll see where the Lions are (or aren't).  If the Eagles win the next 3, they lock down the 2 seed easily.  But, if the Lions haven't relinquished their lead in the NFC, it might make sense for the Eagles to reevaluate the approach to the last two games.

If the Lions win the next 3, they'd have to lose BOTH of their final two games to give the Eagles a shot at #1.  The Lions could lose either or both of their next two.  But, we'll see how it goes.  I don't see the Bears or 49ers taking them down.   If it comes down to it, maybe the Vikings have a shot in the final game... but only if that one matters.  Both might be locked in to their seeds by then (Lions at #1, and Vikings at #5.)

Nah.  I don't see it.  The final 'drive' was just atrocious by all standards by the ref crew.  That long run by Jackson was egregiously bad officiating and the defense really sort of gave up on the play.  It should have been called back, and they threw the flag on it too.  No clue why they didn't call the penalty and back them up.    But, if the 7 points missed by Tucker were on the board, the Eagles' last offensive drive likely goes very differently too.

Shipley getting the ball the first play of the game then never playing again is absolutely hilarious.

I'm way more worried about Carter wearing down than Saquon. RBs don't get hit on every play.

Against the Panthers, I want more Gainwell and more Ojomo.

Crazy to because we are 10 and 2 and they have lost 6 or 7 and are barely holding onto first.

Them and Atlanta both looked good in the early season and then fell back down to earth

Which is better:

A) 70.2% for 1302 yards, 11 TDs, 1 pick and a 108.9 rating

B) 67.1% for 950 yards, 6 TDs, 1 pick and a 107.5 QB rating

Dejean played a snap on offense?

To nit pick our offense: Dotson, Calcaterra, Campbell, and Uzomah played a combined 111 snaps. They are all pass catchers.

They had one combined reception on 2 combined targets.

You can’t have that many receiver eligible players for that number of snaps get negligible targets.  Our run game may be unstoppable, but our offense is predictable.

I assume Coop took over for Reed in the victory formation.

We had 21 dropbacks (19 attempts - 2 sacks). That's such a low number that they're not going to get a ton of targets.

Probably victory formation in place of Blankenship.

Its like the Eagles are intentionally weird in the first quarter of these games.  Also with the pass to Covey on 3rd down.

Also, Jalyx Hunt....this guy might be another awesome pick.  I was wondering how many snaps he got.  He seemed to have a really solid game, got half a sack too.

I found it also weird that aj brown had 5 receptions all coming in the second quarter (4 on one drive). The ravens really had no answer for him when the eagles wanted to throw it to him. The second half he had 0 targets.

who the hell is o mathis?

Both are pretty good. How many plays are we talking about?

I legitimately could not stand him before, OR the fanbase talking about him because he wasn't assignment sound, blew plenty of coverage trying to get picks, and was a really awful tackler. He's actually fixed most of the problems I've had with him because he's basically doing none of the things he was known for in 2022 now. Vic, his secondary coach, or both seem to have coached him hard, and I appreciate that. I don't really have complaints anymore.

He got burnt a couple times earlier in the year up until the bye week almost it seems but since the bye I haven't seen it as much.

The catches by the tight ends I don't blame our corners or safeties yesterday if Lamar can get away with throwing the ball that high that's tough to stop

Also weird:  I think there were 6 fumbles/muffed punts.  All recovered by the fumbling team.  That's gotta be some sort of record.
