We had 21 dropbacks (19 attempts - 2 sacks). That's such a low number that they're not going to get a ton of targets.

Fair enough, but this offense is a fastball pitcher who can only throw off speed when up 0-2.   Throwing the football obviously equating to the offspeed stuff.

Context has a lot to do with "which is better."

Anyone see the Barkley stat yesterday? His second half yards alone would put him 5th in the league for rushing yards. He’s 18 yards away from 1000 second half rushing yards.

I feel like it was a now typical Jalen game, except he couldn’t get the 1 or 2 deep balls on target (I remember him overthrowing AJ once, don’t know if he tried another) and wasn’t a particularly good day running.

I did like the quick Goedert outs, and the AJ slants.

I think some may blame the coaches for not running more in the first half, but there seems to be a repeatable sequence with our offense.  Teams sell out to stop our running game and do so with some first half success.  Our offense subsequently sucks for the first quarter until the passing game settles down and starts to move the ball against stacked boxes and light secondaries in Q2.  Then the box softens up as a second half adjustment after a 7 for 7 Hurts TD drive late in the first half and the running game takes over.

Rinse and repeat every week.

I can’t wait to watch Bryce Young get broken in half in 6 days.

I also felt like the pass blocking was breaking down early. When that is happening, run plays seem to really help.

Giving Devonta an extra week to heal is huge. We could probably keep him out of the Panthers game too and give him the extra week to make sure he's good-good and not just ok.

Panthers can't stop the run.

Shipley getting the ball the first play of the game then never playing again is absolutely hilarious.

Wow.. Maddox literally only played those 2 snaps on defense and still was able to make that much of a negative impact.. Dude needs to hang em up or only play special teams.

I think a big part of it too is that we just wear teams down. Our OL being so big, powerful and athletic just wears defenses down and as the game goes on we just take over.

good morning!

His 4th Quarter numbers are absolutely insane.  He really has been closing games out for us week after week.  He's become "The Closer" for this team because he always breaking a big one in the 4th.

If the game allows it, I'd be good with giving Barkley a lighter day and giving more carries to Gainwell and Shipley.

Maybe get Barkley 15 touches and hope he gets a few big runs and 100-130 rush yards.  I'd like to see him have a chance at the rushing record but it's more important he's good for the playoffs and not too banged up.

I’d have tied him up, taped $100 bills to him, and kicked him off the team bus in the middle of Baltimore.

Yup, dude was trash last year, still scratching my head as to why they re signed him

He's always hurt 😞

A shame. Such a good player.

Has anybody signed up for PHLY? Is their any content worth paying for there?

They either tried to run or didn’t , they either tried to pass or didn’t. I watched the game and I don’t see a bad 1st qtr. Wasn’t great but it wasn’t bad..and it definitely wasn’t because of Hurts..so gtfoh

C'mon, man.  It's been a season-long trend.  Hurts started 1-for-5 for 5 yards and the team fell behind 9-0 (should have been 10-0).

During the winning streak I have no problem saying Hurts has been excellent in quarters 2 through 4, but the playoffs are a one-and-done every week.  The Eagles are playing with fire by starting so slowly, and Hurts' first quarter ineffectiveness is the common denominator.

Hurts has to do whatever he needs to do to solve his first quarter woes.  The Eagles' deep playoff run aspirations likely depend on it.

He’s really come along nicely this year! Is that now 5 sacks or 4.5 something like that. If get can add another couple before the end of the year plus what he brings in the run game that’ll be a nice year for him.

QB A 28/43 373 yards 3TD 1 INT

QB B 28/45 505 yards 3 TD 0 INT

Which is better? QB B has a hell of a lot more passing yards.

I did it on discount and it's a good deal. Mostly do it for Eagles/Flyers content. It's the best Flyers content by a mile.
