back?

He was on IR, and then they brought him back like a month ago. Seemed like a perfect solution was to keep a low level draft pick on IR, heal up, learn the offense and come to TC next year to compete. There's no real scenario where he was going to do anything for this team this year.

Not going to get help from the 49ers (probably)

Gotcha. Didn't even know he was on IR.

That is your opinion.  Everyone has one.

Opinions are like a-holes, We all have them, but it is seldom wise to display them in public

Brutal losing cmc and also mason to IR. Guerendo has looked good but he really hasn’t had a full workload

And don't forget. Jalen Hurts is a scrub, according to many geniuses here.

Goedert needs moving on along with Maddox.

Maybe Fangio wasn't a problem in Miami after all.

I would be fine with him as the next OC for the team.  He can coach from the booth.

Keeps getting worse for the 49ers. Can't stop the run.

Tyler Warren would be awesome but don't think he even makes it to us in late round 1.

I would like them to add a TE in the draft but there's no point in cutting him.  It would cost $11 million in dead money.  He is a good player when healthy.

But Sirianni really really liked him.

They need to draft a TE and rework Gordert's deal. Have him split with the rookie next year and then become the back up for a bit until he's shown the door (assuming the rookie pans out).

He's injury prone, pushing 30 and he's not some bonafide stud.

Easy to miss

The fact that he and Milton Williams are blatantly held constantly and are still destroying OLs is really something

Yeah, Ainias went on IR at final cutdown and was brought back so they could occasionally run gimmick plays that net one yard.

Maybe Shanahan can get a RB to produce for them.  He seems to be good at that.

We’ve played 48 quarters thus far. I wonder how many of them we had all four of: AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith, Dallas Goedert, Lane Johnson.

Feels like it might be about ten.

Guerrendo has some Bryce Brown energy, I can see him really pushing that outside zone.

You can't count on Goedert anymore.  Need to draft a TE.  Needed to last year really

CMC probably misses the Lions game.

Pretty difficult for the Super Bowl loser to start back up and win it the following season.  I think it's only been DAL in 1971, MIA in 1972, and NE in 2018 season that have done it.  There have been others who have gone back and lost twice in a row (BUF in the 90s, DEN in the 80s, MIN in the 70s) but it's the norm for teams to take a step or two backwards.

I also believe the Niners' window is rapidly closing.  They botched the Jimmy G and Lance QB situations, then got ass-backwards-lucky when Purdy learned their system as well as he did -- for dirt cheap.  If things continue to go badly for them next season I don't see Shanahan being able to rebuild it back up quickly.
