Since the bye when the offense clearly changed, the Eagles have run the football 322 times compared to 175 passes. We are running the ball 65% of the time.

As I said earlier, for RBs they cite rush & receiving yards separate, and cite all-purpose yards. Maybe that can be the way QB stats are shown.

I guess it comes down to how much passing vs rushing matters. Do WR receiving yards count more than RB rushing yards? It's yards. If the objective is to gain yards and get in the endzone, does it matter how it's done?

If the QB throws a 2 yard basic screen pass, the RB does all the work and goes 70 yards for a TD that counts as a 70 yard TD pass for the QB. We don't split that out and not count the YAC in the QB stats.

Just to play devils advocate, your last paragraph explains, hyperbolically, the common argument against Brock Purdy being a top QB in the league. When Barkley gets stopped at the one or two yard line and Hurts pushes it in, it’s going to highlight Hurts and diminish Barkley. It is what it is though.

I think, for whatever reason wether it’s a drop in general talent or teams looking for more advantages in scheming the offense, that the "drop back and throw” QB from years ago has become less and less common in the league. It doesn’t really seem like we’re getting back there anytime soon either.

Your logic is specious. Not all cows are green .

Dont give me the "total” nonsense. Hows the yards and passing tds?

Because the rushing yards are nonsense?

If this were true then why did we have a QB sneak success rate that was basically the same with wentz? We've always been good at sneaks because we've always had a great line.

The success of that play starts with the line, and they are by far the biggest reason for its success.

I agree overall but I’d also have to say I can’t see having the same success with the push if it was Gardner Minshew or Kenny Pickett back there. It worked with Wentz because he was a big mobile dude who was hard to stop.

Jeudy becoming the villain in this game is fantastic tv.

Did he force his way out of Denver? I remember when they traded him but not the details.

Using the total stats feels cheap to beef up a players stats IMO

So in your opinion…

A. 3500 passing 700 rushing

B. 3800 passing

B had the better season?

True, I do think it requires at least some power but I can easily see it being just as successful with at least half of the QBs in the league.

Jayden Daniels has more passing yards and rushing yards than Hurts. Is he having a better season?

Also at the bye or shortly after the bye, Lane and some other O-lineman went to Sirianni and told him they need to run the ball more.

I wonder if that's because they didn't think the passing offense design was working or if they feel it's because Hurts wasn't executing on passing plays so they wanted to limit his attempts.

Of course Lane won't say either one because it would either throw Hurts or the coaches under the bus but it has to be one of them.

When compiling everything else he’s done beyond yards, you could make the argument that he is Statistically

Has said a lot of unflattering things about wanting out of Denver then leading up to the game talking about wanting to whoop their ass

To his ability to throw the ball? Very much so

He asked to be traded but also coincided with Payton coming in. Probably a bit of both.

Ah, gotcha. Yeah I can understand why he's a villain then lol

wow

Do you discredit Saquon whenever he catches a pass?

Nix is a rookie. I have never seen Hurts make such a throw.

I thought that was going to be picked. What a play

When evaluating QBs I'd think you have to look at everything.  Yards, comp %, TDs, Ints, team record and even rush yards.

How many QBs really rack up rush yds and rush TDs? Allen, Lamar, Hurts, Daniels and Kyler.  All the rest of the QBs are mainly pocket passers.  Mahomes scrambles a little too but I don't think I'm missing anyone else.

Nonsense analogy

rbs should be catching passes. I would discount Hurts when he throws it 2 yards and saquon takes it 40

I wouldn't have guessed this game would be so entertaining

Ok wth did this game become lol

Lol jeudy sucks chant

ultimate wwe heel

Uh oh, HE is now going to have to post something positive about Winston.
