Mariota did it and scored

Thank you.  That's also what bothered me about it when I heard the radio feed.  Allen didn't catch the ball and score a receiving TD; he accepted a lateral from a teammate and scored a rushing TD, IMO.

Mariota caught his own TD pass.

Yes, again, in the context of how he is perceived league wide in the eyes of everyone.

If he is perceived league wide based on stats, they aren’t watching him play.  I get NFL+ and watch a lot of teams using the condensed game function.  Just the plays.  About 35 minutes a game unless I use the rewind and pause. I also watch the All22 for the Eagles.  Sometimes I will watch another team on the condensed game and go back and look at certain plays on the All22.  But stats out of context are nonsense.  Want an individual stat game, be a baseball fan and even then the stats can be misleading.

Mariota did it and scored. He looked awfully close to crossing the LOS though.

I forgot about that one.   The rule for 'past the LOS' is that the ENTIRE body needs to be beyond the LOS for it to be beyond the LOS when throwing.   So, dragging his leg at the end keeps it legal.

Let's face it.  The stuff he's covered up can't be revealed lol.  Probably has an NDA as well

Maybe.  And I’m sure he’s comfortable financially so money isn’t a big motivator for him.

Agreed. But that's basically anyone that votes on awards or uses stats in general.

The only way Saquon wins MVP is if he breaks Dickerson's record AND Allen, Jackson and Goff throw about 10-15 picks each over the remaining games, it's absurd but that's the reality of it.

Even when Peterson won it in 2012, they'd absolutely have given it to Rodgers or Peyton if they hadn't been beaten by Brees in yards and TD's on his way to a losing season.

Yeah I think I’ve booked the hotel from the Saturday through to the Tuesday. May look to go a day earlier on the Friday. But we’ve got to get there first.

Go the day earlier to have a rest day before starting the activities. That always makes my transition Atlantic trips much much better.

Eli Manning was good at this - and a pioneer at avoiding intentional grounding.

There won't be a movie about Big Dom because James Gandolfini isn't around anymore, it's that simple.

This team has two warts at this point.

1 - slow starts.

2 - Avonte Maddox.

If they could figure out the slow starts this team would be almost unstoppable.

If they could keep Maddox off the field, the defense would become that much stronger.

They could use Tristin McCollum rather than Maddox.

Take a look at the Commanders strength of victory (SOV).

The last four Panthers games were decided by 3 points or less.  They are 2-2 during the last month.  They are playing hard but the Eagles are the better team.  Do not take them lightly.

Name like that and I would assume the rating would prevent it from being shown in respectable theaters.

I wonder why the analytics would say to kick a FG here…

Probably because if you miss, you almost certainly lose. And if you do make it, you might have to kick it a few plays later anyway.

This is a stat full of conspiracy theories.  Our opponents have been least penalized, while Dallas' have been most penalized.

The difference between us at #32 and #28 is the same between #28 and #14.

The most notable thing about the table is the difference between 2024 and 2023. 2024 has 15 teams with a higher value than the highest 2023 value (6.5). The 2023 variance between highest and lowest is much tighter than 2024 is.

I just watched the video and I didn't even realize what happened

Here's the play preceding our first TD. It shows how concerned the Ravens were about Barkley, plus, of course, some nice OL blocking , particularly by our guards. Beautiful and simple play design.

Five in the box. The MLB lined up in the A gap between Jurgens and Becton.

Saquon goes in motion and the LB follows him. Four in the box now, against five OL.

Becton turns his man out. The tackles erase both DEs, and Jurgens and Dickerson double the DT.

Big hole for Hurts. Dickerson comes off the double team to block the safety.

Dickerson pancakes the safety...

Is the Paul E. Reubens Amphitheater not respectable?

I still can't believe that wasn't called dead for a false start.  Dickerson left VERY early on that.   I wonder if the linesman couldn't tell if that was Dickerson or Jurgens on the initial movement.  But, the Eagles clearly got away with one on that.  Should have been 1st and goal from the 6, instead of a TD.

For all the talk about how the tush push is a "guarantee" for the Eagles, it sure does seem like there is a greater opportunity for a screw-up than there would be for a regular play. Guys jumping the count is not especially rare. And bobbled snaps have happened on more than a few occasions.
