Bryce Johnston.  Was hired by the Eagles because of his salary cap chops.  Now a senior executive there.

My god, the #1 seed is like a double bye to the NFCCG.......

Right now I think only the Lions, Eagles, or Packers (slim) are valid SB contenders out of the NFC. Facing the Packers in the second round would be a challenge for either the Lions or Eagles.

The Vikings are the same song and dance every year. Good record, good skill players, above average defense, but flat out not physical enough and not good enough QB play to be a threat in the postseason.

Probably.  We're going to need an edge player (or two).  Any good DE's worth watching that could be available at our pick?

Nah…white guy doing white guys things 😂

As for Diontae?  Isn’t this his 3rd team now?  Who is the common denominator?  It’s looking like a rare mistake from the Ravens front office

No way, we cracked the code on the EMB dude. The guys making those projections are just idiots.

SPECULATION FOR ALL

EDIT: Putting aside the snark, anyone on this MB thinking they have a better handle on the 2025 cap than OTC or Spotrac is delusional.

Vikas, reading is fundamental.  You have chosen not to read what I said now at least two times, if not more.  Here it is again one more time.  Nowhere have I said I am "right." I'm simply sharing my speculation. If you don't like it, ignore it.

Funniest part was after that hit there was a shout out by Nantz for the "Exciting Whites".

When the play happened live, it was completely out of my mind that there were so many Eagles fans there, and when the Cooooooop chants came in, I thought the crowd was booing, and started worrying a flag was coming because of how Henry got lifted.

Personally, I would let Williams, Sweat and Becton walk and bring back Baun and Rodgers (if we let Slay go).

All three guys are going to sign decent contracts, and so we get comp picks. And we have natural replacements in Ojomo, Hunt and Steen.

I'm gonna be bullish on Milton Williams. Moro Ojomo is not on his level.

Would anyone be surprised if the eagles do go on to win the SB that lane retires? I know he said 2-3 more years but i wouldn’t be shocked if they did if he does

Eh, I think this OL is special and he wouldn't walk away from it. I also think if BG comes back, Lane 100% is back. I see Lane here 2-3 more years.

I probably like Milton Williams more than most, but the discussion around which pending FA to keep and which to let go is all relative to what is the best use of salary cap resources.  The input of Eagles scouting department is also central to the process.  They will know, not only who is likely available at picks 28-32 where the Eagles are likely to be drafting, but also the depth of the draft class at each position.

Does it make more sense to extend Milton Williams at $18-20M AAV if you believe there will be another Milton Williams in the 3rd round at the draft?  Maybe the next couple of drafts are weak at DT in their assessment, and stronger at other positions of need.  Same calculus for Becton, although I think he would re-sign more cheaply than Williams would.  Becton endured a crap show with the Jets, and maybe wouldn't be in a huge rush to take the biggest $$$ to go back to another crap show.  JMO on him.

I also agree with others it's hard to imagine the Eagles early picks won't be spent on OL and DL.

If they are in sniffing distance of Mason Graham, I'd have no issue letting Milton Williams walk. It is a pretty solid DT draft and I hadn't considered that in my attempt to talk everyone in to keeping Milton Williams. I'd love one of the Nebraska DTs or the Michigan DTs.

Joe Burrow confirmed he bought one of the Tumblers from the Christian Bale Batman trilogy.

Finding it difficult to get excited about National Signing Day anymore knowing that half the guys committing today will just transfer next year.

Whats Davis 4th and 5th yr cap Numbers anyway?

DUANE!

OK, the Cooper DeJean tackle was great and all, but people acting like it was some huge hit are dumb. There were tweets saying that this hit is comparable to Sheldon Brown hitting Reggie Bush.

Hate it. Despise it. Then again, I hate the designated hitter too.

I’m more ok with the universal DH than i am limited throw overs, pitch timers and biggers bags.

The golden batter…it’s a ruse to deter people from realizing the Dodgers are just shy of $1B in deferred Bonilla money.

I know this isn’t a topic for right now, but I could totally see the Atlanta Falcons trading Kyle Pitts away this off-season.  he’s a free agent at the end of 2026. They aren’t likely to pay him as he had a nice 4 game stretch and then kind of reverted back to what he’s been the last couple years. I could totally see the Eagles being involved in a trade if the compensation for him is cheap enough. take a gamble on him for a year. Potentially getting the capital back as a compensatory pick the following year if they let him walk or if he hits being goedert’s long term replacement.

If you thought Calc was bad at blocking…

I’d rather two DH’s than a golden batter. Stupid.

I’ll leave that for the cap guys, but he’s a guy you want to keep around. I understand that might be an unpopular opinion in the blog, but I see the league as being cyclical…and the shift back to more ‘run-heavy’ offenses has just started.

I’ve seen some people go as far as labeling Davis as a bust (relative to his draft position).  I don’t.  If you let a player like that go, you are very likely to regret it later.

It’s a copycat league… And GMs will look at the top teams of this year and look at their numbers and why they were effective

I don't know if Pitts is uber talented.  He's physically gifted and is probably above average as a receiving TE.  I don't think he's going to go off in this offense because he's not an upgrade over Goeddert as a receiver.  He's probably a downgrade as a blocker.

Probably? Pitts can’t block his own shadow.

He’s a favorite of mine as well. I have a feeling he will be out of out reach when all is said and done though.

A similar prospect you should check out is Jah Joyner from Minnesota. He’s not quite as dense as Stewart, but still weighs close to 270 pounds and should be able to get bigger if needed.

He has freakish athleticism, 35+ inch arms, and yet somehow his best trait is his relentless motor. He’s super raw right now and so most people seem to think he’s a 4th or 5th rounder. I’d expect him to go somewhere in the 50-75 range by draft day.
