The Lions are missing almost an entire team's worth of people. If our defense continues their level of play then the Lions should not beat us. We just shut down the best offense in the league, and it wasn't close. Their rushing attack is good, not as good as Baltimore. St Brown is great, Laporte is very good, Goff is good but he threw FIVE picks just a couple weeks ago.

The Lions are a very good team, but to say they would probably beat us I think is inaccurate. At the very least you could say 50/50 but if they played today we would be favored.

That's because Aaron Glenn is a bit overrated. Most of their success on the defensive side of the ball is more so due to talent, not scheme. Brad Holmes made some real solid picks with guys like Hutch, McNeil, Brain Branch, etc. Signing Carlton Davis was also a good signing to help fix their problems at corner. If Glenn left, they wouldn't be in nearly as much trouble as they'll be when Johnson gets poached.

Yeah I’ve felt this way for a while with Glenn. Said something similar earlier in the year. I think his talent carried him more than it’s his scheme. I think that bills game next week is going to be a shootout. If the bills get off to a fast start in that game then the lions are going to be in serious trouble with how poorly their defense has looked in the second halves of games recently.

I'd be surprised if the Bills don't win that game. Lions are ripe for a letdown after back to back wins they had to fight tooth and nail for.

This would be a fair assessment if Detroit were not so diminished by injuries. Losing Hutchison in particular is a huge loss, somewhat comparable to the impact of losing Carter would have on us. Of the actives both teams have today, I think we have a slight edge.
