I bought 3-5 BTC for like $50 as a joke in like 2012 in college, drunk, and can’t for the life of my find it. I think it’s on a cold storage somewhere because this was before app exchanges so it is what it is.

Some dude told his girlfriend to throw out his drive and there is 700 million in Bitcoin sitting in a landfill in England. The town won't let him pay to dig for it.

I think $50 worth would be something like $400,000 today.

Ok

Not sure if this was already debated here, but Dan Campbell's decision to go for it on 4th down was pretty dumb IMO. It was based on a "my balls are bigger than yours" logic and that already hurt them last year against SF. I haven't seen what the national media is saying, but in the broadcast they were applauding it.

I can only imagine the reaction if Sirianni had done that, especially if it ended up in a disaster (like it almost happened to the Lions). Honestly, I'm glad Nick does seem to learn from his mistakes, after the stupid decisions he made vs NO he's been more even keeled.

We might need to be more aggressive head to head against the lions though…

I listened to Fran Duffy on the Athletic's Football podcast.  He made an interesting point that college QBs should just exhaust their eligibility before entering the draft.  He made 2 points about it.  One, NIL money big school QBs is enough where there's not as much financial risk and an incentive if you're not a sure thing first round pick.  His second point was that the NFL is not a developmental league.  He mentioned Quinn Ewers being better off playing one more season of college football vs. entering the draft.  I actually think that's a good thing for the NFL and college football.

I think there are a lot of Eagles fans here looking at things through green colored glasses as far as the Lions are concerned. I believe that they are absolutely legit, are probably (slightly) better than us, and would not only be favored against us in a potential championship game in Detroit, but would probably beat us. I'm not suggesting we are doomed or "can't" win but our path to a Super Bowl is indeed a difficult one.

Based on the beginning of the season, I'd agree with you.  They started out on a tear and looked unstoppable.  But, they've been ravaged by injuries since then and the Eagles have righted their ship and have become, perhaps, the best defense in the NFL.

I have it as basically a coin toss in Detroit, but a lean to the Eagles, because running games and defense travels well.  On the flip side, I see the game in Philly being much more likely to be an Eagles victory because of the dome team aspect and I don't think they have the horses to bring a stout defense with them.   I think the game is close in either city, BUT... I think the edge goes to the Eagles.   And if they ever figure out how to play offense in the 1st quarter... so much better.

Nah, I disagree, we need to be smarter.

I'd be furious if Nick decided to go for it in a similar situation in the playoffs. 30 seconds, no timeouts... there's no need to be an idiot, just win the game.

I would be worried about it because we struggle in the 1st quarter

Some thoughts after last night, as it appears the one seed and the bye are HIGHLY unlikely at this point.

1. If we are locked into the 2 seed going into week 18, just use that as the bye. When looking at the potential NFC playoff bracket, being the 2 seed might be the easier path. Let's assume it's 1) DET, 2) PHI, 3) SEA, 4) TB (I think they pass ATL), 5) MIN, 6) GB and 7) WSH. So we get Washington in round 1, a game we should be able to handle. In round 2, we get SEA if they win, and if GB wins, we get the TB/MIN winner. GB is the team to avoid in the divisional round, IMO. Getting WSH and MIN would be a dream scenario.

2. NFL Refs really need to be a little less obvious this year.

3. Dan Campbell is a complete idiot. If Nick made those boneheaded 4th down calls, the media would be slaughtering him. But we have to hear clowns praise Campbell. Going for the 4th down in their own territory was idiotic and gave the Packers the lead. Going for it instead of kicking the FG with 40 seconds left was completely insane - it worked, but it was a horrible decision. He is 100% going to cost them a playoff game. The double standard is amazing.

Maybe. Watching the game last night, my though was that the Lions O would be vulnerable to the Eagles D. (1) pressure Goff up the middle, (2) DeJean and Q on all of those over the middle routes, (3) the ability to make their run game less effective -- the way the D line is allowing the LBs to play their gaps mainly. Maybe the green colored glasses but I though the Packers D looked pretty lame and historically there are 2 things known about Goff -- give him time and a clean pocket and he will pick a D apart but  pressure him up the middle and he throws picks.

Maybe but I trust this defense to be able to make it difficult for the Lions.

I was just about to post #1.  The two seed isn't a death sentence.  We would likely have locked it up early, so we get to rest our starters week #18.  We then play the weakest playoff team.  Avoid GB in the divisional round.  And have a real possibility of hosting the NFCCG.

The glass is half full.

It was incredibly reckless. It's not like they were on the edge of FG range and felt the need to get it closer to cut down on the distance for their kicker. Nor was there that much time on the clock that you fear the Packers driving the length of the field for a TD to win it. There was 30 seconds left and they were at the 20. Goff gets stepped on and it almost ends in disaster. He's gonna cost them a trip to the super bowl if someone doesn't get in his ear and explain to him the math involved.

I think Campbell is a reckless moron, and even I was stunned when they snapped the ball. Thought for sure they were trying to draw GB offsides and would call the TO and kick the FG.

So when did the Lions become the Chiefs? NFL really being too obvious.
