I’m expecting a very line heavy draft from Eagles this offseason. Sweat, Milton, BG all have expiring contracts, & who knows how much longer Lane sticks around so it might be time to find his successor, Becton probably walks in FA & how confident are they about Steen being the RG?

Tyler Warren would be so fun. But with question marks short term/long term on both sides of the line, Eagles principle philosophy investing in trenches, and it being a deep TE draft, I highly doubt they grab Warren or any other TE in 1st.

Agreed. I think Williams is back. Becton is a coin flip. Does he want money or continue improvement under the GOAT Stoutland. BG will be back if he wants.  I think a team throws big money at Sweat and he leaves

This team is what it is at this point. I don’t expect them to just flip the switch in the first quarter and get off to hot starts. And I think everyone can agree that Hurts is basically 2022 Brock Purdy with mobility. There’s enough of a sample this season to see the comparisons.

But on the positive side they have the best RB in the game, an elite offensive line, and the best defense they’ve had since the 2000s. This team can still go deep but the blueprint for their style has to be there. They have to survive the first quarter because if someone jumps on them fast, that puts the game in Hurts’s hands which isn’t good.

2022 Purdy would be undefeated on this team. Hurts isn't doing anything that can't be replicated by a halfway decent QB

Nick did a nice job navigating the feel for that game, especially on that last drive. I would have sent Jake out there for the kick because the only way out of this funk is through it, but I understood the decision. He also knew the passing game was nowhere up to par and didn’t want to put the game in Hurts’s hands. He had to coach with two arms tied behind his back and ended up trusting Mann and the defense who ultimately got it done.

Dak, Goff, Mayfield, Stafford... they would all be killing it with this offense

Yup— I have no problem with the punt. It takes some real self honesty to make that call.

Love Warren as a player, but how much freaking help does Hurts need?

He has the best OL in the entire league, the best RB in the entire league, the best WR duo in the league.

Like, let’s be real here — he has FAR AND AWAY the most talented offense in the entire NFL around him. Literally, this might be the best supporting cast top to bottom that any QB has had in half a decade.

A new TE will make very little difference.

What we need is a QB to eventually replace Hurts and a blue chip backup RB so we can run the ball 35+ times per game without getting Barkley killed.

That’s really it as far as the big plans for the offense go. A first rounder at TE isn’t going to catch enough passes to justify the resources spent on him. Draft angry in the 4th or 5th who can block and catch a 7 yard pass to convert a 3rd down. We don’t need another super star the QB won’t throw the ball to.

Going back to 1999, the Eagles seem to have a blueprint at TE.  They have very good TE1’s who are generally just below probowl level…with a very promising and highly drafted TE2 ready to step in.

I think TE is an offseason need simply for Goedert’s availability issues, which figure to get worse moving forward.

The problem is the playcalling, they've really simplified the offense, and they're basically asking WRs to win one on one battles consistently, with little effort to scheme them open.

So back to where we were last year at the end of the season.

Baker would as well. He has the most riches of any QB in the league and he is holding them back. Heck, if SD is playing that well in Minny he'd be doing well here.

Well, that’s the thing. I think everyone in the building, especially Howie, knows that Hurts needs to have an immaculate supporting cast. It sucks, but that’s the situation they’re in right now and there isn’t a lot of leeway to move on from him anytime soon given the contract. The offense plummets when AJ goes out. They need to consistently replenish on offense at receiving positions. I don’t think it matters who WR3 is at this point because they don’t utilize that and Dotson is invisible.

lol, when Buffalo does the tush push. They actually call offside on the defense.

Because it's not the Eagles.  Pretty simple

Yea I don’t think anyone buys that.  We know what the common denominator is.  The play calling is what it is for a reason.

That slide sack was wild.

It was inexcusable, really

There was multiple times today AJ had separation on the defender and qb1 didn't throw it. Looked his way and wasn't confident he could make the throw

Right. That’s why they need to build up his confidence a bit by giving him some easier opportunities to get the ball out. Hurts is never going to be the greatest QB in the world, but a broken Hurts is way worse. I feel like his best games come from when he’s confident, and he didn’t look that today.

Wow rams blocked a punt and returned it for a TD. Bills down 17-7.

I'd bring it up publicly and just write the check for the fine. There's no way they haven't been sending clips to the league all season with nothing to show for it

Start calling them out publicly and just accept the fines. It's got to that point where it shouldn't be done silently

There truly was no excuse for the missed facemask call 3 feet right  in front of the official’s face as he was staring at them.

That’s a dangerous play and something that needs to be called 10 out of 10 times.   Inexcusable.

Bills losing this game will take Allen out of the MVP front runner status.

Go Rams!

Oh i agree. If you got a new OC and you have to do what Afan is saying then then the common denominator is either your quarterback or sirianni. I’m leaning towards it is likely not sirianni.

Rams are going to be a sneaky playoff team if they make it. Could end up being the #7 seed?

It won't be long before our all-world receivers turn on Hurts.

They have a better chance of winning their division and being a 4 seed

He's not wrong.

I wouldn’t make any long term takes after today’s game. It was annoying and frustrating and not as dominant as it should have been. The reality is the Eagles didn’t have much wiggle room to not disappoint besides a full blown blowout.

Let’s see how they do against a team they will have to get up for and can’t coast pass next week.

As good as a QB he was, Tom Brady sucks as a commentator.

Nails on a chalkboard bad.
