It won't be long before our all-world receivers turn on Hurts.

We need that. We cant move on but we should begin making sure we have the successor. Its too early to draft Nussmeier in round 2.

As good as a QB he was, Tom Brady sucks as a commentator.

Nails on a chalkboard bad.

Romo is better

So back to where we were last year at the end of the season.

The passing offense really hasn’t been much different than 2023 for most of this season. Since the bye, the offense has resembled the 2021 version more with an emphasis on the run and Hurts making plays with his legs. The main difference between this season and last is obviously Saquon carrying them and the defense being much better. People will complain about today and get PTSD flashbacks of last season, but I don’t get that vibe. There are leaks and problems, just like any other team, but the defense is what makes this team leaps and bounds better than last season.

I like him when he trashes basically every QB.

It's crazy how polarizing Hurts is in the fanbase. He's either a complete bum, a mid game manager, or an elite QB that some people in the fanbase wouldn't trade him for Mahomes, Allen, or Burrow. lol

Congrats to Saquon Barkley - The Eagles’  all - time single season rushing leader

I think Hurts is overly scrutinized. He didn't play great, but he wasn't terrible either. He had an ok game, but was awful when it came to pulling the trigger in the pass game. That's not terrible, lol

I agree that he can be overly criticized, but I also don’t think this game is a great time to defend that.  I think it may have been his worst game this year (outside a couple big runs that were huge).  His decision making on that last drive was pretty bad to put it mildly.

I don’t mind Hurts getting criticized when it’s deserved, and today it is.  My issue with much of his criticism is that some of it is very lazy, and often inaccurate, analysis.  And some don’t give him credit when it is deserved…those are my main issues with it.  But yeah, today was not one of his better days.  He’d probably say the same thing

Romo was horrid too when he started.  But gave good insight like Brady…Tom however won’t suddenly develop a love for drinking and hearing himself talk in the booth though.

Well, that’s the thing. I think everyone in the building, especially Howie, knows that Hurts needs to have an immaculate supporting cast. It sucks, but that’s the situation they’re in right now and there isn’t a lot of leeway to move on from him anytime soon given the contract. The offense plummets when AJ goes out. They need to consistently replenish on offense at receiving positions. I don’t think it matters who WR3 is at this point because they don’t utilize that and Dotson is invisible.

If that’s the case, why not just use a first to get a new QB instead of a new TE?

Jalen is doing his PC now. He is so hard to listen to.

Zzzzzzzz. Rather watch Charbonnet take it to the house.

Romo when he started is basically the same though.

I mean…that’s basically the deal with every Eagles qb.

Terrible QB draft class this year and they’re held hostage by Hurts’s contract. There’s too much talent on this team to hit the reset button at that position and he isn’t playing bad enough for them to do that.

SF with a nice TD drive. We do not want this. Nobody wants this. Nobody wants the Niners going on a bit of a run and making the playoffs.

49ers aren’t making the playoffs and even if they do who cares. All their stars are hurt. They would be bounced in the WC game.

That’s because his range of play is that wild lol. He’s just so streaky. When Hurts is on fire, this offense is lethal.

I view it this way, if Jalen hurts was playing at the level he was in 2022, the offense would be damn near unstoppable. He is not playing close to that level. He's not turning the ball over which is definitely good otherwise it’d really be much worse. But if hurts was playing better than you could lighten up saquon’s load. Frankly, we had an early by week. So that means since week five, we have not had a week off. The defense could use the offense doing crap in the first quarter so they don’t get gassed as the games wears on. I thought we were super fortunate last week the defense held up in the second half considering how poor the offense was in the 1st and 3rd quarters and how long they were on the field.

Not worried about their old ass defense either.

Rams are going to be a sneaky playoff team if they make it. Could end up being the #7 seed?

as long as its not the bucs

Do we think they simplify the play calling of the passing game for no reason? Do we think they were too lazy to scheme for advantages all week?

So we are in a pretty good spot. Pretty much locked up the division and 2 seed. Still have a chance for one seed.

Stafford at his age should not be as good as he still is.

45 minutes ago, UK_EaglesFan89 said:

They could still win that division…

ESPN gives them an 8% chance. NFL gives them a staggering 10%.

I figure cutting Jalen is out of the question (for a number of reasons) for another couple seasons - but can we afford to trade him capwise?

It’s too hard to tell which plays are designed and which are plays where Hurts is making changes at the line. It feels like the only throws he are comfortable with are slants to AJ and go routes. I’m assuming most of those throws are calls he’s making since his tendency shows that’s his bread and butter. But there are plays Moore designs where guys are open and Hurts doesn’t pull the trigger.

Consistent complaint from the 3 knowledgeable Cowboys fans and anyone who watched SD, Moore gets in his own head and is overly conservative at the wrong times.  He is definitely part of the issue, or a majority of it.  Hurts was terrible this game…worse than the Giants game or the TB game.  So it’s a bit hard to objectively call out coaching, but coaching has been a major issue for a while that can’t be denied.  The extent of it is TBD.
