Oh I know I just meant out of all the presumable wild card teams. Washington is 82% likely to get a WC seed and the other two are 99%, so it’s likely going to be one of those 3.

I guess there’s a chance Washington go on a run and one of Minnesota or GB slip up a little? But don’t they both have like a 2 game head start on Washington?

This game and the ATL game earlier this season show pretty well the Eagles lack the ability to blow lesser teams out most weeks.  That will be a big concern no matter who they face in the playoffs.  Their M.O. is to grind teams down late and use Barkley FTW.

They will be at a huge risk of beating themselves under pressure or getting screwed by a call because they’ve let a game remain close late.

I still see it as a Hurts issue more than coaching.  Hopefully they figure something out before it’s too late

I think it varies from game to game, play to play, but Fran has been saying for weeks he thinks the play design is a bigger part of the blame for the offense than Hurts when he studies the film. He acknowledges plays Hurts misses, but he's spent a lot of time going over the play design and how many plays are doomed to fail. And FWIW, Shane has been saying the same thing too.

If it weren't for Barkley, this offense would be sizeably worse than last year and last year it wasn't exactly dynamic either. I think their passing DVOA is like 16th in the NFL and this is a team with an elite OL and Brown and Devonta. Like, c'mon.

They aren’t catching Vikings, they already have 11 wins. They are a game behind Packers so it’s possibly they could jump them. I have no idea who owns the tiebreakers though.

I agree Barkley is gone in 2 years.

But I don’t agree that we will have to reinvent ourselves. We can keep 4 of our 5 starting linemen together for the next 5 years.

We don’t need a generational talent. A true bro bowl caliber RB will produce like an all-pro behind this offensive line. Just look at the Lions. They don’t have Barkley and as good as their OL is, it’s not on our level, yet they have a similarly dominating ground attack.

Bring in a true pro bowl caliber player, pair him with a quality starter level player, and run those two behind this OL for 12+ wins per year.

And that formula consistently comes up short in the playoffs.  Playoff condescendingly call it 80’s and 90’s football.

If we are to win a sb with that formula, something about us needs to be different.  Right now, the only difference I see is the margin between Barkley and your *typical* all pro rb.  That difference is all that sets us apart from the numerous running teams that repeatedly fail.

Sunk cost fallacy. Hurts’ contract is irrelevant. If drafting a QB to replace Hurts would improve this team the most, then that is what we should do.

It is... but it isn't.   The cap implications matter.

GB have 10 wins don’t they? So they are 2 games up on Wash who have 8 wins? Yeah Minnesota are pretty much locked in to the #5 seed at this point.

He has a right to be frustrated. He has an ego, like most receivers, so I don’t mind him venting. He’s earned the right to be like that. Him and Hurts have a brother relationship so it’ll never get personal between them.

Families have been known to have a falling out.  It's happened many times.

I don't want to face the Commanders a 3rd time, division opponent plus I don't think the stats for playing a team 3 times is all that encouraging if memory serves me right

Worked out alright for us in 2022 😊 but yeah I take and get your point. I also think potentially losing to a division rival would just hurt so much more.

Well, you’ve had Nick designing plays, Brian Johnson designing plays, and Kellen Moore designing plays …. and the same one QB with the ball in his hands every game, week, year.

If we were free and clear of Hurts’ contract I can see Milroe as an easy transition - but I wouldn’t want to take the cap hit, and use a 1st for a Hurts clone with the usual question marks. Rather roll with Hurts as a known commodity … tbd if you can win the how thing with a stacked team and a mid QB.

Wild that Milroe might be a first round pick when he’s possibly the worst QB in the SEC…but then i remember the Colts made Richardson a top 5 pick.

Allen just missed a wide open WR. Hurts misses a guy that badly and you get 3 pages of "just run it" and "we need a new QB" 🤣

So if SEA wins, we cling playoffs today right?

Jake is a bigger issue

No they are 9-4. Washington is 8-5

I think the "one constant" side of the argument would hold more water if the passing game wasn't really good with Hurts in 2022.

Are you really on here comparing hurts to Josh allen? One makes more difficult throws than he misses easy ones, and one has to be limited to under 20 passes if he wants to succeed. I'll let you figure out which one is which

He was being bullied by members of the EMB, no less.   We are to blame.

I don't know why some fans think Eagles fans are the only ones that react like this. Do you guys not know other fans?

Ah dang it! Thought they had 10 too. Okay there’s a chance Washington catch them I guess. Washington or GB? That’s not a great choice.

They have the same total Td’s though so they are the same

Hurts beat the Rams. And no, I'm pointing out how all QBs miss and how our fans overreact 🤣
