EMB Blog: 2024 Regular Season (Part 2) ... and Playoffs

Featured Replies

Next week is big for seeding.

If the Eagles beat the Steelers and Bills beat the Lions, then the chase for the #1 seed is alive and well.

If the Eagles beat the Steelers and the Lions win, then the regular season loses almost all meaning.  Division wrapped up and #1 seed isn’t happening.  Rest and wellness become THE priority for the final 3 games.

Lose to the Steelers and then they have to keep playing to wrap up the division.

Clearly worked. Held the saints to 14 points total.

Hurts is a**. Wasting our best offensive talent prob ever.

Qb1 might be the 7th best player on offense.

No particular order:

Barkley

AJ

Smith

Lane

Mailata

Dickerson

Allen had 6 total TD's and they still loss the game.   The Rams were a 6-6 team that was better than the record and the Bills were rolling.   Just goes to show you don't always escape these so called "Trap" Games.  Hopefully the Birds will learn from today and keep moving forward.

What's to learn at this point?.....they should know that Hurts is a liability.

This is what it is at this time of the year. Benching this expensive fraud of a QB is the only option.

Numbers like that still make him the front runner for MVP. It's close. If Saquon breaks Dickerson record, he'll win it

Could just be that the bills defense is frauds. Bills have given up 28 to Az, 35 to Baltimore, 10 to Seattle, 23 to the Texans, 27 to Miami (with Tua healthy), 21 to the chiefs and 44 to the rams. The rest of the teams they’ve faced where they played well defensive were Miami minus Tua, jags, jets, titans, colts and niners in a snow storm down Williams and cmc for most of the game. Against those 7 they’re giving up 27 ppg. Against bottom feeders, Miami without tua and a niners team banged up in a snow storm 13.3ppg.

That bills defense always sheets the bed in big games.

Allen is amazing. Barkley will need another 200 yard game to win the mvp over him

Eagles have a top 5-6 offense, we're gonna whoop em'.

Just like we did the Rams and the Ravens

The rams gave I have no comment since I didn't watch its hard to gauge just from highlights.

Whooped is not the word I would use to describe how the eagles beat the ravens. Don't forget that their kicker missed 2 fgs and an 1 xpat.

The ravens game the defense dominated and is a big reason why they won. The offense started with a 13 yard first down run and then went pass happy. Then something similar on second drive. They continued their 1st quarter drought.

Not saying it’ll happen but it’s an interesting conversation, but if the eagles  get into a game in the playoffs where hurts can’t get it done with his arm and prevents them from advancing then do they consider what the rams did with Goff. Where if a Qb becomes available and they feel like gives them a better shot at winning and make a trade for that Qb. Don’t see a Qb like that becoming available but hypothetically i do wonder if they have that convo

Rams game was an absolute whooping. Holding the Ravens #1 ranked offense to 12 points at home also qualifies.

Eagles are as good a team as there is in the NFL. Don't let today's sleep walking performance convince you otherwise.

I’ve said this for a while, it’s not that Sean McDermott is a bad coach. He’s not. He is probably better than most of the coaches in the nfl. However, if you keep running it back and you keep getting knocked out at the same spot (where you’re facing better competition) and you can’t get over the hump then you have to make a change. If they fall short this year, it feels very much where the Buccaneers were With Tony Dungy and they just went to Gruden to get themselves over the top.

I was literally just thinking this myself. Hurts and two 1sts for Allen? Pipe dream I know

It’s gonna be josh Allen. Love Barkley and wish it would go to him but Josh Allen has been ridiculous the last two weeks. really without Josh Allen I’m not sure the bills have 3-4 wins.

I don't think the Rams are a "trap" game opponent.  They are only 7-6 because of the injuries they had early.  If they were more healthy, they'd be in the 8-5 or 9-4 range.  No way they are a 'trap'.  They are legit and a team that I would prefer didn't make the playoffs.  They will be a tough out if they make it.

Bills would laugh at that. Frankly the only Qb i could see asking out is burrow just cause of how everything is going on defense. But i don’t remotely see him doing it.

DeJean finally had his welcome to the NFL, rookie game today. Thielen ran laps around him. It happens.

They could run the table tbh. They got at sf, at jets, vs. Arizona and vs. seattle. I’m betting they don’t but i could easily see them going 3-1 which would put them at 10-7. Not sure they gets them in as a WC but might win the division as Seattle has vs. packers, vs. Minnesota, at bears and vs. rams.

He'll win cause he's a QB. But without Barkley they eagles likely have less than 3 or 4 wins

Good news sixers won and Embiid had 31-12-4 and Maxey had 25-11-14
