There has been a script the last 5 years since Andy won and Brady retired. The PR department wanted a new goat and face od the league and the refs have been biased making that happen. 

This year I think they want the novelty of Detroit going to their first SB.  Why? No idea, but they are pushing it hard and the Eagles are getting screwed. There is no way an NFL caliber official can't see a blatant face mask where the guy gets yanked down literally 6 feet from him while he is starring at it.

Well, what are the chances the Eagles are mathematically eliminated from 1 seed going into week 18?  Eagles play Giants, Lions play Vikings.

Say the Eagles go into that game 14-2.  Anything less and they will be mathematically eliminated.

Question 1: What is Eagles vs. Vikings tiebreaker if they both go 15-2 and the Lions are 14-3?  

Question 2: What is Vikings vs. Lions divisional tiebreaker if they split the season series 1-1 and both finish with 14-3 records?  This one matters because a 13-3 Vikings team might mail it in and rest against a 14-2 Detroit team if they can’t win the division anyway.

Depending on the answers to those questions, it could already be almost impossible for the Eagles to get the #1 seed.  Would require the Bills beating the Lions and the Vikings having something to play for against the Lions in the last week of the year and taking that game…and not having the tiebreaker over us.

It’s almost impossible.

After looking through this…and I could be wrong…to get the #1 seed, the Eagles: 

1. Realistically need to win out.
2. Need the Bills to beat the Lions.
3. Need the Vikings to beat Bears, Seahawks, and Packers.
4. Need the Vikings to beat the Lions in week 18.

The reason for #3….it seems the Eagles do have tiebreakers over the Vikings should they both finish 15-2.  But the Lions have tiebreakers over the Vikings.  So unless the Lions go into the week 18 Detroit game at 14-2, they aren’t going to have reason to play.

So if 1-3 fail to happen before week 18, it’s all about rest at that point.  This is very, very unlikely.

I went and looked it up  2nd half points given up by chiefs over the last 6 weeks 

Tampa — 17 points 

Denver— 0 points 

Buffalo- 14 points 

Carolina— 18 points 

Vegas— 14 points 

chargers— 14 points (so far) 

so 77 total. Comparatively it’s 49 in the first half of games. Frankly could be worse if the raiders weren’t the raiders and they didn’t win a coin toss in overtime against the Bucs.

What tiebreaker? It’s always been that if both Eagles and Vikings ends up 15-2 the Vikings have the SoV tiebreaker.

Tbh at 760 might as well just said F it went to $800 mil for 16 years. He has an opt out after 5 years anyway. Which in all likelihood at 31 if he’s still hitting as well as he is then he’s likely going to opt out for another big deal.
