EMB Blog: 2024 Regular Season (Part 2) ... and Playoffs

I have to think Graham is smarter than to just air out laundry like that. I wonder if he meant it in some other context or just poorly articulated what he meant say.

Regardless, boy did that tweet blowup. I’ve seen just about every national guy from Pat McAfee to Dan Orlovsky already comment on it within minutes. It’s going to absolutely blow up tonight/tomorrow and become a huge distraction.

What the hell was that from Graham? Jesus.

True and to Hurts credit he tried to be that guy and it was a disaster. Rewatch the Green Bay First quarter. Hurts isn’t gonna be that kinda QB.

This season is more than likely over now…collapse 2.0 on the way

Meh, I think the strength of the team this year is mainly the defense and they were a huge part of the collapse last year. Hope it doesn’t happen but I think they’ll be ok.

Yeah, that was a real dope thing for him to say. Goodness.

I’m not sure we can just assume it’s AJ Brown. There were rumors that came out last year about Jalen hurts internal concerns. We don’t know if guys in that locker room back sirianni and there was a lot of smoke between hurts and sirianni.

We aren’t trading aj brown next offseason as it’s 31 mil in dead money but it’s also 14 mil against the cap. Unless they just get some ridiculous offer i don’t see that happening

Maybe we can do a deal with the Raiders.  Max Crosby and Brock Bowers for AJ.and a draft pick.

This way we get more exciting whites.

Brandon Graham thinks it’s AJ.

I definitely think it’s a Hurts issue over an AJ issue

Im not assuming its brown i was responding to the poster that said AJ wrecked the locker room

The idea of not having AJ concerns me. I think this offense would drop off drastically if he goes.

Well......we could have had Justin Jefferson or Tee Higgins but I'll leave it alone.

BG seemed genuinely pissed about AJ.

I think this has been an issue behind the scenes for a while now. They’ve tried appeasing him and it hasn’t worked.

Now they are fed up with it.

This was not taken out of context. He’s pissed that the WR is on the verge of wrecking a great season.

Brandon Graham thought there was an issue with how AJ Brown went to the media. He didn’t insinuate that the off the field stuff was all AJ Brown.

let me just point out there were a lot of rumors last year/off-season about Jalen hurts and the organization having internal concerns. I would not be surprised if there’s guys in that locker room that didn’t appreciate some of the things that got reported about hurts and his relationship with sirianni. Cause I’m betting there’s a lot of players that love and respect Nick sirianni.

The problem will always lie with the people that don't enjoy winning. It's pretty simple.

I would trade all the All-Pro Divas for a team full of Brent Celeks any day.

BG is a 15 year vet that has been thru the dream team debacle, Chip Kelly, Wentz era, and everything else in between. He’s way too media trained to just accidentally say this or slip up, he must have a reason he decided to do this.

I know. I was saying not sure we can assume it’s purely aj brown. There’s been other issues come out about hurts. We don’t have enough info

Rob Carpenter. Chris T was taken in the 96 draft I believe.

Jones was third rd of 95 draft

I could not disagree more… There needs to be an explosive play threat in the passing game at all times.  And in order to have that threat, you have to have shown that it’s possible on enough of a routine basis.  If the final four games of this season are a carbon copy of this last one, the Eagles could possibly be one and done in the playoffs.  If they managed to win one, they certainly will not make it to the big game.

I truly think that the issue with Jalen right now is that he is trying to being too efficient

I’m not saying finding that happy medium is easy for him (which is why I think his critics can be overly harsh at times).  But he has to find it.

Cart before the horse right now, the passing game is broke.  In general, yes the explosive threat should be there and the names on the back of a few players jerseys are just that.  Right now there’s little to no respect for the passing aspect.

I think BG’s interview was very clear.

No way the raiders are dealing bowers on a cheap rookie contract for 5 years for aj brown. Let alone Crosby and Aj brown.

I’m talking about the WIP tweet that has a clip of him saying it. That’s what is circulating on Twitter and among all the talking heads right now. So even if it was out of context, the WIP tweet that is blowing up makes it look way worse.

By tomorrow whether it’s BG or Sirianni, someone’s gonna come out and say BG misspoke and everything is fine.

I agree that there were some issues with Jalen’s personality last year, and there still may be some, but the way Graham said that they were no longer friends made it seem slanted toward AJ to me. Maybe you’re right though. Again, I think Brown is good enough to put up with his stuff, but he’s definitely got some stuff going on.
