Yes but, do they get Saquan? I think they dobt sign Saquan if they have a qb like Burrow. So which would you rather have?

Shady McCoy made a good point today about the Eagles.

Detroit likes to run the ball and does it effectively.  But Goff can also kill you with the passing game.  So why can't the Eagles do the same and do it more consistently?

Goff gets a bad rap but, the dude can sling it pretty well in the right situations.

Agreed

So the beginning of last week, the majority in here were saying run the ball against the Panthers. The game plan was apparently that.  Now the first series, there was some mention of Barkley having an equipment issue so that had an initial impact.  But ran the ball they did.  Heck, I think two of Hurts "sacks” were really TFLs on run plays for him.  Yet all this criticism of the lack of passing.  The game plan was to run on a poor run defense.

Moore seemed a bit out of sync in his play calling.  The OL struggled a bit.  Might have been Jurgens’ roughest game although not his first struggle this year.

Yes, Hurts had a poor game.  I do wonder if part of Brown’s and Devonta’s frustration isn’t with Hurts, it’s that there was too much stress on not turning the ball over that has made Hurts reluctant to throw it at times.  I suspect they are working to cure the level of risk that is acceptable to loosen the reins a bit.

I thought we were about to see a "That’s my quarterback” moment.

As far as throwing it yeah he's pretty damn good.  He's got a stacked team around him like Hurts.

Did you watch the game? Hurts is garbage. Even if they called 10 pass plays. That’s not the point. On the actual pass plays, he can’t see the field, isn’t throwing to open WRs, running out of clean pockets, taking pointless sacks. It’s mind boggling to me how many excuses are made for Hurts. It’s always someone else’s fault.

Yeah, that was a real dope thing for him to say. Goodness.

It’s why active players shouldn’t have podcasts.  People wondered why I didn’t like Kelce’s podcast last year

Well he might get traded, but Jerry isn’t dumb enough to let him land in the division, and if he’s smart he doesn’t let him land in the conference.

EDIT:

IDK, Maybe he is.

I wouldn’t use the phrase "Jerry isn’t dumb enough.”

He is. He really is.

The funniest part of what Graham is saying is it’s as though he believes going and talking to Hurts will be like having a heartfelt dialogue with an emotionally available buddy you can say anything to with no grudges held.

I guarantee you talking to Hurts man-to-man would be like talking to a post.  He speaks entirely in slogans and catch phrases and doesn’t give off a genuine vibe at all.  He seems pretty damn unapproachable, really.

I think if they beat they beat Steelers and its not an ugly game this all goes away fairly quickly

At some point they have to score 10+ points in the first quarter ….. right??

We are seeing QBs do well new places. I'm curious to see how Jones looks with a better franchise.

Meh.  He seems like that during press conferences and to the media but I’ve seen him much more laid back around his teammates; especially after games.

Go back and watch the Green Bay game week one. Hurts tried to be the drop back read the defense guy and he flopped. Hate to the Eagles waste such an opportunity to win but Hurts is holding this offense back.

You can't guarantee anything unless you know the guy personally, which you don't.

Hurts seems pretty laid back away from football, like most people - you're not the same person at work as you are away from work. Especially as most of what we see from hurts is either in a game or at a presser.

Holding the offense back so much we put as many points on Green Bay as anybody else has this season, including everyone's favorite mighty Detroit Lions in 2 attempts.

This boards reaction to a duff offensive game is beyond parody these days, you'd think we were playing out the dead rubbers in a season we were going to end with a top 5 pick.

People (not you) saying they wish the coaches would give Tanner McKee a go unironically and not being mocked mercilessly for the rest of time for suggesting a man who couldn't beat out Kenny Pickett for the back up job might be the answer.
