Oh, no doubt, he's damn good. Elite. However, where are the Vikings with him?

7 wins, 8 wins, 13 wins (WC loss), 7 wins. That's what I mean by empty stats. For as good as he is, that's the best the team is. Even this years 11 win team feels irrelevant. Nothing about the Vikings makes me nervous in a head-to-head or makes me think they can make it past the 1st round again. Yea, it takes more than 1 elite WR, but again, just feels like empty stats.

It's your choice to respond or not, but I didn't make any fake arguments. I asked valid questions to further understand your perspective. Questions are not arguments. Get that Logic 101 textbook back out and look it up for yourself. 

If you don't like the questions, I can't make you answer them either. But you were making an argument and I needed more information to construct a rebuttal. 

 

As for Goff's 3 TD, 85 yard game, you implied he was "carried by his team." 

 

Here you state Hurts needs to be more efficient. My argument is that he has been efficient. He's completing a high percentage of his passes and not turning the ball over. Most of his incompletions are "throw aways." He isn't causing the team to lose games. A lot of people seem upset that the Eagles didn't dominate the panthers. At the end of the day, who cares? That was a late season conference win against a team that is learning how to be competitive. They (the panthers) are playing better football than they have for years. Winning by 20+ or by 1 point makes no difference unless you bet against the spread. While watching the game, I didn't have that comfortable, cozy feeling, with no worries the entire game, but I was confident we'd come away with a win, because that's what this team does well. 

I've already stated that I'd like to see Jalen take more chances, by letting it rip and trusting his receivers. But I'm also willing to accept that doing so will increase the turnovers and we'll have to overcome those. I wasn't all that unhappy with his 1st 4 games this year. I don't like turnovers, but you have to expect some along the way. I felt like it was an unusually high amount for 1 player in 4 games and figured it would balance out with a few turnover free games. I wasn't expecting to be so cautious with our passes, but the formula has proven successful to date.

I mean I’d argue moss outside of the one year the Vikings went 15-1 and years with Brady didn’t have great teams (next two after 15-1, Vikings teams after that were solid/good similar to Vikings team now and when they won 13). Moss with Vikings had 15 wins, 10, 11, 5, 6, 9 and 8. So JJ after this year as the Vikings have 11 already, he’d be just 1 10 win+ season away from the same as moss. Moss had 64 wins with the Vikings. jj is at 46 wins with 4 games to go this year. Difference is really moss had 4 playoff wins and JJ has 0. Frankly Cunningham in that one year was mvp and culpepper was very good early his career. Cousins probably close to what culpepper was in his height.

imo Vikings have better QBs than darnold and cousins i kind of think they’d be more fearful of Minnesota teams. If jj played with prime Brady, he’s probably on cusp of Super Bowl appearances

I'm not really interested in the parallel universe arguments about what the Eagles record would be with Joe Burrow or other NFL QBs -- they're not here and aren't likely to be at any point in the foreseeable future.

Hurts is the Eagles starting QB and likely will be for the next two full seasons as per his contract structure.  As long as the Eagles are winning 13-14 games per season there won't be any impetus to change that.

Sucks negation retired early. Would’ve loved to see the lions send him somewhere so they could get picks and he have a chance to win a SB. I know they had a couple good teams but really they weren’t close to what they have now in terms of roster building and stability of the franchise

I agree with this except the last part. I think playoff success matters. If we go 14-3 lose in the divisional round and following year go 13-5 and lose in the WC and QB position plays poorly in both then i think Howie and lurie are going to have a plan to find their next guy.
