Huh? Hurts announced he was engaged in September, they never got married. There is also nothing saying he had a kid. There was one random Twitter rumor and nothing more. No beat writer ever said anything about it or being on night duty. She was even in Brazil and while in the picture you can’t tell shes pregnant there would be something out on the internet of Hurts with a 8 month pregnant fiancé.

That's his agent not his fiance.  He's engaged to another chick.

You're confused. That's Bry. Look at her ring. We just don't know who Jalen employs to watch his house on road games.

The upcoming Commies game has legs.  Not just eliminate them from winning the division, knock them out of the playoffs.

Well they have the Saints this week with a backup QB.  Then Us who are fighting for the #1 Seed, Then Falcons who are fighting for their lives, Then Cowboys in Jerry World who beat them already and would love to play spoiler.   So yeah they aren't locked in just yet.  They had a 3 Game Losing streak and it's opened the door for the Rams.

That’s not what tweets from PHLY and The Athletic said.  I want to say I saw a tweet about Burrows being pregnant last year too.  Could be wrong.

I don’t care what anyone says, including Hurts.  There is zero chance he’s pulling night duty.

I've noticed this new thing of citing "net passing yards" when it reflects poorly. I get that he didn't pass a lot, he only had 108 yards but that's what the stat sites say, they don't typically report net. This is the same thing as combining total yards and TDs to include rushing to spin stats to your bias.

Taking bad sacks is part of the criticism of Hurts' poor play of late.  If you want to report them separately, that's fine.  3 sacks for 25 lost yards isn't good, especially when he sacked himself on a critical drive, where 2nd and 18 became the outcome, rather than 1st and 15.

Somewhere bacarty still thinks he’s a top 10 wr and he should be signed

16 hours ago, NOTW said:

That's all true. But this week is literally the first time I've ever seen someone on here refer to the net passing, and there's a reason.

Because sacks are becoming a major problem and he sacked himself on a drive that could have clinched the game, but that sack scuttled their chances and forced them to throw the ball stopping the clock?

Might be in the minority with this one, but I think you should have an "oh crap" quality to your game to be ranked top 10 all time at WR. Rice, Moss, TO, Megatron - those guys petrified defenses. Guys like Isaac Bruce were awesome and accumulated huge numbers, but no way I'd rank them top 10 all time. Tyreek Hill would be somewhere in my top 10

. So, the Big Fundamental gets knocked down because he was just awesome but didn't have the wow factor?

Tyreek Hill as a top 10 WR?   Please.   That's extreme.

I think we are missing some obvious things in the Hurts "drama” this week.

Brown targeted the entire passing offense with his comment.  He was 4 catches on four targets last Sunday. Devonta was 4 of six and Dotson 1 of two.  I said after the game and stand on it, Moore called a disjointed game.  The first quarter failure is squarely on Nick’s, Moore’s and PATULLO’s shoulders. WTF does an offensive pass coordinator do?  Most slow starts are with the passing game.  Falls on his shoulders a lot.  The OL had a rough game in pass blocking and were pretty bad in blitz pickup.  It wasn’t just Hurts.  And Hurts isn’t solely responsible at close to a 70% completion rate. Against that defense, running the ball made sense.

That said, we are missing something obvious about Hurts and BG’s comment.  Of course, he and AJ aren’t hanging together as much this year.  Hurts got married this September and on Oct 13th became a Dad. Pretty drastic change in social life those first few months.   So in the last two months, Hurts has faced the 40 day rule with his wife (recovery from pregnancy) with the first two months of a child learning to sleep at night.  Some of us forget what being a new Dad is like that first two months?  The Beats have even cited that Hurts was helping with night duty.  Over 35 years ago for me and I can remember how tired I was with our first born.  I probably wasn’t processing quickly then either.  Hell, I figure the discussion between AJ and Devonta on the sideline was what advice they could give Hurts about moving the baby to five hours of continuous sleep at night.  Both have gone through that already with their first borns.  Couple that with the impact soreness from playing has on sleep and we are probably seeing Hurts at his most worn out period of the season.  Good news is today, his daughter hits two months, which is usually when sleep patterns start to adjust and even if his wife had a C section, his wife has probably recovered enough so she is taking on more of the night duty allowing him to overcome the tiredness fog and get more sleep.

Off topic but Justin Jefferson by the time he’s done might be top 3 wr we’ve ever seen. He’s had 5 consecutive 1000 yard seasons and one year he played 10 games. Hes doing it with darnold and did it with cousins. If he plays 12 years he’s on pace for 17,829 yards, 1176 receptions and 95 tds. Would make him 2nd in receiving yards, 5th in receptions (3rd for WRs as Tony Gonzalez and witten ahead of him) and 11th for receiving tds for a WR. At that pace for 15 seasons he’d be 600ish yards and 80 receptions away from Jerry rice.

Yup... he's got a shot.  and it breaks my heart.

Probably gonna need the bills and Vikings to beat the lions to have a shot at the 1 seed.

VIkings likely sit people the last week, unless they are playing for the 1 seed.   But, if they are playing for the 1 seed, they have the tiebreaker over the Eagles.  So... the 1 seed ship is fast sailing away, it would take a collapse by Detroit against the 49ers or Bears to really make it possible.

Twice in the last few weeks, we’re hearing of players refusing to go into games. Not saying it’s never happened before, but it’s the first I can ever recall hearing about players refusing to go in.

Reminds me of college players choosing to skip the bowl game for their own reasons.   When you bring in players that have that mindset, that's what you are going to get.

With what he’s done with the defensive backs this year, I really hope they don’t lose Christian Parker. He’s on the rise and if he leaves for a DC job elsewhere, good on him. But I’d like to think there would be some sort of succession plan for him to take over depending on how much longer Fangio wants to coach.

There is a chance Lions drop 2 (Bills and an NFC Team - Vikes, Bears, 49ers).  So the Vikings are still playing for the Division and #1 Seed against The Eagles.  Our formula is basically, Eagles Win out, Lions drop 2 and Vikings Drop 1.

I would be surprised if Parker is back next year. Teams are going to want more Fangio.

I thought of him too. Him and Vonte Davis I think it was, both retired from the game mid game.

John Kruk also retired in the middle of a game.  I understand his reasoning too.

Yeah that’s probably the reality of it. But after passing on Dennard Wilson and him leaving and doing well in Tennessee, it’ll sting to lose another guy. Different circumstances this time though because there won’t be an opening for DC.

Because Stafford plays poorly in a game, it's ok for Hurts to play poorly? That the logic you're going with?

They use that a lot for some reason. Some QB on another team has a bad game and that's an excuse or reason for Hurts

It's definitely weird. Did they just not want to play or did they need to go take a crap

Hurts already said the offense is how he wants it. So he's admitting that he wants the blame yet you don't want to give it to him?

He's pretty overrated and when you think about it the catch was nice but they use gloves that is basically stickum. Take the gloves off and do these players still catch the ball with these amazing catches?

If they don't... the Vikings won't knock them off in the final week, or more exactly, it wouldn't help us even if they did.  15-2 tie with the Vikings still leaves the Eagles on the outside looking in.   15-2 tie 3 way is no better... they do the division tiebreaker first, and then leaves us against the Vikings again... with the same result.

The 1 seed is getting less and less likely.  It really went away with the GB game going to the Lions.  That was our last best chance.

I don’t follow baseball, but I did follow the team in 93. Didn’t know he retired mid-game.
