Stroud with the flick of the wrist throw. He’s having a sophomore slump but he’s on track I think.

A good guess. I don’t know the answer, but I’d add Rodney Harrison, Jack Tatum, Andre Waters, Night Train Lane, and Ronnie Lott to the list of possibles.

Some of my favorite DBs.

Haha chiefs bailed out again

Yeah the two greatest tight ends to play the game didn't have any impact on that.

Ertz didn't have any impact on the Eagles winning a Super Bowl.  Kittle hasn't had any impact on the 49ers making multiple Super Bowl runs.  Greg Olsen had no impact on the Panthers making a run to the Super Bowl.  Goedert just along for the ride in 2022, not playing any role in the team's success.

Look at the complementary WRs on those teams and then look at Brown and Smith.

We have won half the games on this win streak with Calcaterra as our starting TE.  We need a competent TE to supplement our strength at WR.

Premium draft resources are too valuable to waste on a third receiving option in this offense where passing is the second option to running.

We need more EDGEs.

This draft is loaded with EDGE players, and every kind of profile you could possibly want: hulking size/power, traditional long/explosive, undersized speed, and hybrid LBs who are good in space.

I’m not sure we are going to need to use our first round pick to bring in a starting quality EDGE.

That said, I also agree we don’t need an elite TE to run our offense. We need an inline blocking TE who can catch a 7 yard pass to convert 3rd downs. Calcaterra actually looks really good as the move TE who gives us a more dynamic option.

Though I do wonder, if we are moving to more of a ball control/run based offense, does an elite inline TE become more valuable? You would sort of presume we would rely more on shorter high percentage passes to the TE. And you do need an excellent blocker to play this style to its highest potential.

Can't breathe in that MFers general direction

Tyler Warren the best possible heir for Goedert.

Tyler Warren is a flat out stud, but the guy no one wants to talk about is Bowling Green's Harold Fannin Jr.  He leads every tight end statistical category there is. Problem with him, if you want to call it a problem, is he's a tweener at 6-4 230.

I'm with you thought, Warren is the perfect TE for this team. 6-6 260 and can do it all.

At this point this is just pathetic and ridiculous! No holding call on #74 there? Despite clear holding in front of the official. And the roughing the passer call felt harsh at the same time.

Yeah I know we don’t need Minn to lose both but I’d just like them to.

It is. Did you see the Falcons game the other day? That was nothing and still got called.

Super Bowl winners are great teams, and great teams are more likely to have great players at any given position.

The fact is that 2 teams have dominated the Super Bowl in recent years, and it’s mostly because they had Brady and Mahomes, not Gronk and Kelce.

We don’t have enough passes to go around for our WRs, let alone for a TE to put up 1,200 receiving yards. So if we are going to seek out an elite TE, they better drive block as well as Dickerson to justify a high draft pick.

The NFL wants the Chiefs toto threepeat. It’s dull dull dull but it is going to happen.

Tyreek Hill, Edlemen, Reebok Samuel, Aiyuk, Evans, Godwin, Alshon, DeVonta, AJ, Julio.

And oh man, it's almost as if the TE adds value to the running game as a run blocker as well, especially in the case of Warren.

Gannon is also a very good blocker, despite the size. But we really do need an elite drive blocker if we are taking a TE high.

Sorry if already posted, been busy

People tend to overlook the blocking value but its important to our offense. So maybe think complete instead of elite. I agree the pass catching volume wont be there for a TE
