That explains his statement the other day.

Was pretty obvious it was a good bye. You don’t talk like that if you get benched

Would be the most Jets thing ever if they claimed him off waivers.

True but there are also games played in the elements that were awful.

Not saying there can't be great games in the snow, rain or wind but there are many stinkers as well in those conditions.

I don't know if I'd call last nights game an instant classic tho. I don't think many people were going to not watch the game but then as soon as they hear it's snowing immediately it's must watch.   How the teams play each other and how close and competitive the game is make it must watch and that can happen indoors or outdoors.

Nah.  Regular season indoor games are extremely generic to me.

After he clears waivers he is a vet’s minimum contract in all likelihood

If the Eagles were to want him, I think they would have to do it through waivers.

At this point in the season you might as well stick with Pickett who we already traded for and has been in the system all year. I still think Jones is the better QB but the gap isn't wide enough to pursue him right now.

Agreed, but that other shoe hadn't dropped yet.

Not that I want anything to happen to Hurts but it would really be the greatest thing ever if we would sign Jones and he had to take over and him and Barkley won a Superbowl for us.

They'd have to pickup his entire contract. I'd take him over Pickett, though for the vet min. See what he looks like with a good OL and weapons.

Yea, and no chance in hell Howie takes that contract as is. I would think he would go somewhere that offers an easier path to playing time and the Eagles would be pretty low on his list. Even if he has no choice but to be a backup, there are other teams it would make more sense for him to go to.

Hang in there, man. @Joe Ball

Well played sir!

Saquon and Jones are very close. Saquon could convince him to have fun and join our PS.

I'd bet Jones winds up in Tennessee.

He gets to compete with Levis for the starting spot.  Team gets to avoid a seemingly weak QB class in the draft and buys some more time to see what Levis does.

So, going forward this season in the NFC East, we face a rookie in Washington, a 2nd year QB in New York and Cooper Rush in Dallass. If we don't go 6-0 in the division, assuming we play our starters in the final weeks, then something's wrong. At WORST, we should be 5-1 if you give the Redskins credit for a good season so far.

I said this before he was an Eagle and I'll say it now: he deserves to get lit up every time he tries to slide from there on out. The way some of these guys try to game rules that exist solely to protect THEM is maddening.

Why is any team going to claim him with his contract? I would think they would be better off just waiting for him to clear if they really have an interest.

No one is going to claim him. My only point is the Eagles would probably have to because I don't see why he would come here if he has a choice, unless Eagles are the only choice.

Jones could use a year or two on the bench on a real team, with a good OC and QB coach, to learn how to play QB.

Worst thing he could do is go to a bad team with a bad OL, and spend another year or two getting beat up and learning nothing.

If the Eagles want the #1 seed they basically can't lose Sunday night. It would lower their chances of getting it to virtually no shot. They'd have to win out and the Lions would have to completely fall apart.

How many temporary IRs do we have left (assuming they want Huff for the playoffs)?

No team in their right mind will claim him off waivers.  They inherit his contract if they make a claim.

You beat me to it.
