Oof. Literally turned on the TV to seeing Stroud crying over an injury. That's rough.

If you enjoy the autumn foliage, you could knock a few states off your list and plan a trip to Vermont/New Hampshire/Western Mass next fall.  Lots to do other than look at leaves.

Been there, done that. Hard to beat PA for foliage.  Although I had a case in Binghamton years ago.  Flew into Newark and caught a puddle jumper at the peak of fall foliage.   Had a boss that had a condo in Beaver Creek CO.  Had a leadership (executives that reported to him) meeting there one fall.  Puddle jumper over the aspens in full color may still be the best I have seen.

Had a case on appeal in Connecticut and the appeal court would schedule a mediation with a new judge every couple of weeks.  They made damn sure I saw all of CT.  Drove up from NYC, out from Hartford and even on trip, I drove over from Providence. We had a significant office in Rocky Hill that I visited regularly. We owned an insurer in Maine and I went up there regularly in the 80s and 90s.

Ouch then they shank the xp

Does this team not have that already with Brown and Smith?  🤔

Absolutely do. So dont need an elite pass catcher at TE

Terrance Ferguson, TE, Oregon

6'5'' 255 lbs

Known for his above-average blocking

Think he would be a great target in late RD3-early RD4

Or the guy that should have won the Mackey Award, Harold Fannin Jr. He will be a 3rd or 4th

Ryans is calling the plays from a Texans  letterhead

That's a huge 4th down stop

Didn't even include guys like Njoku, Mercedes Lewis and Winslow.  Not like there are a ton of GEs going in the first.  In fact I bet if you really looked at it the hit rate of 1st round tight ends compared to 1st round edge players the hit rate is probably just as high if not higher for tight ends.

You shouldn't.

Njoku and Lewis have only been to one Pro Bowl each.

This.

Please don't confuse not wanting to invest valuable draft resources on a TE with not wanting a quality TE on the roster.

A more available version of Goedert on day two of the draft would be just fine.

Eagles fans should be rooting for the Chiefs here, ya know. It’s one of the twentysomething games we need to go our way to flip the strength of victory tiebreak with the Vikings. They beat the Texans this year.

So glad the committee put in SMU over Ole Miss, USC or Bama. What a competitive game. Only down 28. 😂

Awful spot by the official. Schultz had that first down

stroud shouldve thrown that away. He was out of the pocket

Stroud voluntarily stepping out of bounds for a five yard loss on first down instead of casually tossing the ball away was an interesting choice.

Lewis is the Frank Gore of TE’s. Still playing at 40 years old.

For a team that supposedly avoids the "rat poison” they sure are on top of all the memes

Amazing he’s been in the league 2 decades gone over 600 yards 1 time, over 5 tds just 1 time and over 50 receptions twice.

Yeah Greg Olsen, Vernon Davis, Heather Miller, Jeremy Shockey, Todd Heap, Hockenson, LaPorta and Bowers have all been a bunch of TE 1st round busts.

As I said at best 'disappointing' and included the word "almost" all busts.  But tell me, of that list, how many of them have a Super Bowl to their record?   How many playoff wins combined amongst that group?

Let's look at the list.

Davis got to a Super Bowl with his drafting team.  Miller won a Super Bowl with his drafting team.

We're adding Bowers to this list after just one year?  OK.  Lots of busts to go with this list.  But, the point is about how to best go about building the roster.

Out of curiosity... which list is better:
Olsen, Davis, Miller, Shockey, Heap, Hockenson, Kincaid (1st round) LaPorta (2nd round), and Bowers...

Or... just taking non-first round picks over the past EIGHT years (not even the full length of time you went to).
Sam LaPorta (2), Jake Ferguson (4), Pat Freiermuth (2), Cole Kmet (2), Mike Gesicki (2), Dallas Goedert (2), Mark Andrews (3), George Kittle (5)

Personally, I think the second list is as good, if not way better than the first list.  And with way less draft capital invested.

If you aren’t getting a dynamic player at TE, I wouldn’t use a top 100 pick:

It’s just too easy to find someone like Brent Celek outside the top 100 picks.

Frankly if worthy didn’t go for it then it’s probably picked by Bryant before it gets to kelce

Build a case.  Why him over Warren?

Ok.  But, don't shoot yourself in the foot with your blind rage.
