The ravens oline all year hasn’t been very great. I remember early in the season it was really bad

I felt like for a while now, the Chiefs feel like they are pacing themselves. knowing that it was going to be another long season and there’s a chance they’re playing in February. Particularly kelce i think they are monitoring him to make sure he’s fresher for the playoffs. I do think hes regressed but i dont think hes completely washed. i think they are trying to have him healthy when they need him the most

Imo i think getting Hollywood Brown back for them is big. It gives you two vertical stretch guys on the outside along with DeAndre Hopkins that can be your possession receiver. If Hollywood Brown is healthy and worthy continues to develop, it should allow for things to open up in the middle of the field for kelce, Hopkins, and even the running game. I think having brown healthy makes them more dynamic on offense and more dangerous.

Sounds like when we were saving our playbook last year

Davis had like 3 really good years (2009, 2010 and 2013… his 2011 was solid) and the rest of the time vastly overrated

Eh they really just didn’t have all their guys healthy for stretches. Hollywood brown missed 14 weeks. Pacheco missed a majority of the season. (Rice lost for the year). And Hopkins didn’t join til the trade deadline. The eagles had everyone healthy (besides goedert missing some weeks and aj out the playoff game) and just weren’t very good down the stretch of the year outside of the cardinals game. I think having Hollywood brown healthy playing with mahomes is a different dynamic they didn’t have prior that they were expecting to have prior to his injury in training camp. Hollywood brown with mahomes is vastly different than brown with Kyler Murray. Without brown, they had worthy a rookie as their top receiver and really only big vertical threat once rice got hurt. Brown gives them another. It changes how you can defend them especially when brown gets more comfortable in the offense

Part of their pacing is just getting guys back healthy to have the offense they somewhat envisioned before the season. And some of this is not overusing and running a guy like Kelce into the ground at his age

I tend to agree — athletes get overdrafted based on potential. But I also tend to think teams struggle to use them and fulfill their potential.

Pitts is a perfect example. What the hell were the Falcons thinking to draft that kind of player into a power zone running system? It makes no sense. Pitts needs to be in a wide open, pass happy system to take advantage of his size/speed and create the occasional mismatch against dime defenses.

Same thing happened with Davis. He went to the 9ers, and their entire offense was Frank Gore.

If you put Pitts or Davis on the 99 rams or a similar offense, they’d be world beaters. Part of the issue is that TE is a very QB dependent position, and if you’re getting drafted in the top 10 you’re probably not going to a good team.

I don’t think he gets drafted much later. Call it 20-25 overall for Warren vs 35-40 for Fannin.

I could totally see Andy or mcvay taking a chance on Pitts this offseason and unlocking his ability.

Re: TE. Our offense has 3 studs: AJ, Devonta, Barkley. Any TE we have is at best option #4. As such, I want a good blocker who can catch the obvious stuff rather than a great all-around TE. Use the extra resources on OL/Defense.

That's his 3rd I believe. Fun while it lasted or he gets signed next week.

Yup.

McVay in particular would probably make him a perennial pro bowler.

Kind of could see Sean Payton being in on him at the right price. Thinking he could make him his next Jimmy Graham

What I’d like to see is a 4th or 5th on an inline TE and trading a late pick for Pitts to serve as a move TE/slot receiver.

Idk.... I just dont see the Ravens as contenders. They are decent but, not a threat imo

Out of all these plays, the Stingley holding call is the closest to being a good call. The ball boy didn't call timeout, but he directed the ref to AR. You CAN'T do that. Huge plays that decide the game going the way of the Chiefs week in and week out. This is flat out bad.

Let's do a 'dream sequence' for a moment. We just won the NFCCG and we get to pick an AFC team to play in the Super Bowl.

The teams to pick from are Buffalo, Pittsburgh and Kansas City.

Who would you prefer to beat from those three?

Beating Buffalo would complete their beatdown by the NFC East in the Super Bowl. Beating Pittsburgh would give PA residents in-state bragging rights, and beating Kansas City would even the score with Andy.

I'll take any of the three, or any other Super Bowl victory, for that matter. But which 'storyline' would be the sweetest?

Wilson thought he was young again apparently.

Best storyline is to beat the Chiefs.  I prefer to play Pittsburgh.  I expect to play Buffalo.

I think their path matters. Like they are a matchup problem for the bills. They can run the ball down their throats with Henry as the bills aren’t good against the run and Lamar can also throw. I think steelers are a matchup problem for them. They can make them more one dimensional with their ability to stop the run (first game not as much so far in this one). Lamar tends to just struggle against their defense. KC is a mental thing for them plus i think with the receiving weapons the chiefs have would really take advantage of their pass defense.

Sydney Brown got a fine for the only play he was in on.

If I’m guaranteed the win, give me the Chiefs. I like AR but the can’t stand Mahomes or the Chiefs team.

That has nothing to do with winning the Mackey Award.

Im probably one of the few that like Lamar but, his big game and playoff performances are still very meh

After Loveland, Warren, Fannin, and Taylor, Ferguson is the 5th best TE in the 2025 draft class.

If he is available with the Eagles RD3 pick, hopefully pick 96, I run to the podium.

Easily a Goedert replacement whenever that is and a complement to Calcaterra.

Pass on going after Pitts this offseason. If we address the TE position just do it in the draft, it’s a good TE draft. Helm from Texas, Nesbit from UNC, Ferguson from Oregon are 3 guys I’d target in middle rounds
